Chinese Studies at ANU
The Australian National University is one of the foremost institutions in the world outside of China for research and teaching about China. The University's academic staff includes close to fifty China specialists in the social sciences and humanities spread throughout a number of departments.
The mission of the Australian Centre on China in the World is to realise a national capability in the research and teaching of Chinese Studies, and communicate its findings to foster a greater understanding of China in the world across academic, policy-making and community audiences both nationally and internationally.
The Centre's research themes are interrelated and are not conceived as self-standing 'silos' of intellectual or disciplinary pursuit.
