Donald Trump's Rude "South Korea" Remark (No Labels)
At the "No Labels" Conference on October 12, Donald Trump ironically used labels to stereotype Joseph "Joe" Choe (Harvard's Class of 2017). He asked, "Are you from South Korea?" without even letting Joe finish asking the question and rudely cutting him off. (The organizers of the event even took away Joe's microphone so he couldn't speak up.) Joe is the same Harvard student who shot to fame in Sou

With one of the lowest birth rates in the world, South Korea is in danger of disappearing by the end of the millennium. If the situation stays as it is, South Koreans are predicted to become extinct by 2750. Because of the rapidly aging population, elderly prostitutes known as "Bacchus ladies" have cornered a number of public parks as their working areas. Meanwhile, South Korean kids are living with their families well into their 20s—as a result, an entire economy of sex motels has sprung up to give kids a place to fool around outside the watchful eyes of their parents.
We sent Matt Shea to investigate this generational crisis, which led him to Seoul's red-light district, a pre-wedding photo shoot on the set of a Korean soap opera, and an erotic sculpture park on South Korea's "honeymoon island."

At the "No Labels" Conference on October 12, Donald Trump ironically used labels to stereotype Joseph "Joe" Choe (Harvard's Class of 2017). A video of a South Korean woman removing her make up has gone viral
YouTube clip has been viewed more than 2.8 million times since May 2
The woman is seen removing half her make-up and leaving viewers in awe
The bare faced side revealed the transformative powers of eye make-up
Women have long known about the seemingly magical powers of makeup, with mascara able to transform tired eyes and concealer covering up a multitude of sins.
But a South Korean woman's total transformation on camera has revealed just how much cosmetics can really do.
The YouTube video of the unnamed woman's make up removal routine has gone viral with over 2.8 million views since it was uploaded on May 2.

Video of South Korean girl removing makeup goes viral
The video, accompanied by cheery music, shows the woman smiling to the camera with a full face of make up before reaching for a cotton pad, shaking a bottle of make-up remover and then partially applying it to her face.
In a few sweeping motions, the woman removes half her make-up, paying special attention to the eye area, before revealing what truly is an eye opening result.
While her bare face shows a less powdery pale and pristine complexion, it is the dramatic difference between her left and right eye that leaves viewers stumped - with the lid of her right eye shrinking noticeably in size.

New international league tables on education are expected to make disappointing reading for many British parents.
The tables, which focus on the teaching of maths, will be published on Tuesday.
The last similar survey showed the UK in 28th position out of 65 countries - and the latest figures are unlikely to show much improvement.
The best results are expected to come from East Asian countries such as China, Singapore and South Korea.
But there can be heavy costs and extremely long hours for students in South Korea.
Reeta Chakrabarti reports from Seoul.

Check out my Seoul travel guide and tips at this link: http://migrationology.com/2012/05/seoul-travel-guide/ - All my personal Seoul travel tips and suggestions!
Seoul, South Korea, is truly an amazing city to visit! It's modern, easy to navigate and there's little something everyone will enjoy. The Seoul subway system makes it easy to get around town and discover exactly what the giant city has to offer.
Surrounded by Japan and China, Seoul and South Korea sometimes doesn't get all the attention is deserves . Korea is home to a unique culture, cuisine and a fascinating history. If you ever have the chance to visit Seoul, you'll have a great time!
I traveled to Seoul Korea and was able to do all kinds of things, but I've narrowed this list down to twenty five of the best things to do in Seoul - of course there are other things as well but this list is just the beginning and intended to get your ideas and travel imagination flowing!
Anyway, on to the top Seoul attractions, here's the list in case you can't see the video:
1. Gyeongbukgung Palace
2. Bukchon Hanok Village
3. Jogyesa Buddhist Temple
4. Suwon's Hwaseong Fortress
5. War Memorial and Museum
6. N Seoul Tower
7. Myeongdong Shopping
8. Insadong
9. Namdaemun Market
10. Dongdaemun
11. International Itaewon
12. Hongdae (Hongik University)
13. Lotte Mart
14. Lotte World
15. Seoul Children's Park
16. Han River Walking / Riding
17. Walk along the Cheonggyecheon Stream
18. Hike in Seoul
19. Gwangjang Market
20. Noryangjin Fish Market
21. Garak Wholesale Food Market
22. Korean Street Food
23. Ice Cream Selections
24. Coffee at a Coffee Shop
25. Korean Barbecue
I stayed in South Korea for just over 2 weeks and was able to complete this entire list of things to do in Seoul.
However, even though there are so many places to see and go, probably my favorite of all is eating and sampling delicious Korean food! Korean food is so good and there are so many restaurants everywhere you look in Seoul that it can truly be considered a foodie's paradise.
If you get a chance to visit Seoul I hope your'e able to do all these wonderful things while you're there!
Anything else you love about Seoul that's not on this list? Please feel free to leave a comment below and let me know!

There are 27,000 North Korean defectors who escaped through life threatening dangers. They came to the South with big hope but were discouraged due to the language barrier. They were discriminated and ignored mostly because of the way they talk, with unfamiliar accents and vocabulary. Young North Korean defectors were no exceptions. They had a hard time adjusting to new schools. We believed Koreas’ reunification would be possible only when these young defectors can get good education. So we created the South Korean-North Korean translator, which you cannot even find in Google.

Korean families are reuniting in a series of meetings this week, more than half a century after they were separated during the Korean War. It was an emotional day as long-lost relatives embraced each other. But some felt the reunion was suppressed by guidelines and monitoring.

South Korea is home to a thriving $20 billion private education industry. But 15 hour school days and academic pressure on students are beginning to take its toll, and the authorities are finally taking notice.
"You get compared and because everyone does so well I feel pressured to do better. There's a lot of psychological pressure", says one Korean student. Here, making it to the top has become a national obsession. Schools stay open until 11pm, whilst half of teenagers report suicidal thoughts, mostly blaming school pressure. 19-year-old Jae-woo describes the stresses that accompany study for exams: "There's no me... I can't do things I like. When I'm prepping for exams, who I am just gets lost". Feeding off the system are entrepreneurs like Cha Gil-yong, a celebrity teacher who dons wigs and wacky costumes in online lectures. At any one time 300,000 students are logged into his website. "I try to entertain them and keep them from nodding off by wearing these wigs. Students really enjoy it", he says. Now, authorities are finally realising that the price of success may be too great, and are sending out patrols to enforce school closing times. Yet top performing students are even beginning to have plastic surgery in order to improve their job prospects. In a country where failure is not an option, how far will students go for success?

Donald Trump sat down with Chris Wallace on Fox New Sunday for a “huuuuuuuge” two-part interview. Not too long after, Wallace discussed the New York real estate mogul’s talking points (or lack thereof) with Washington Post opinion writer Charles Lane. His thoughts? “None of it made sense.” That’s one of the larger conclusions you can draw about the interview, especially since Trump didn’t adequately answer most of Wallace’s questions. Instead, he refused to give specific answers and emphasized his desire to remain “unpredictable” during the campaign. “Let’s do a lightening round. Quick questions, quick answers,” said Wallace. “Would you be willing to use the debt limit and risk the possibility of the country going into default to get more spending cuts?”
“I would use the debt limit… I don’t want to say… I want to be unpredictable because we need unpredictability,” Trump rambled. “Everything is so predictable with our county.”Donald Trump told chris wallace on "fox news sunday" that his immigration policies would have prevented the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks from taking place. trump says to wallace “I’m so tough on illegal immigration, 9/11 wouldn’t have happened if I was president,” Trump said on “Fox News Sunday.” The Republican front-runner has made criticisms of former President George W. Bush, brother of primary opponent Jeb Bush, a central part of his campaign strategy. “I’m not blaming George Bush,” Trump said. “But I don’t want Jeb to say 'my brother kept us safe.' ” “We lost 3,000 people, it as one of the greatest – probably the greatest catastrophe ever in this country,” Trump said.

In the full "Meet the Press" interview Donald Trump talks Syria, Russia and when he would consider getting out of the race. Trump's tells chuck todd his view on if Gadhafi and Hussein were still in power and if Assad were stronger, the Middle East would be more stable. Donald Trump: 'Guns or No Guns, It Doesn't Matter' Donald Trump responds to President Obama's comments about the mass shooting in Oregon and points the finger at the problem of mental health. Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump, when asked if he believes the Middle East would be better today if Moammar Gadhafi of Libya and Saddam Hussein of Iraq were still in power, responded, "It's not even a contest." He related the situations in both of those countries with what is currently happening in Syria and seemed to endorse a stronger President Bashar Assad, even while admitting that he is "probably a bad guy." "You can make the case, if you look at Libya, look at what we did there — it's a mess — if you look at Saddam Hussein with Iraq, look what we did there — it's a mess — it's [Syria] going to be same thing," the real estate mogul said.

Donald Trump, when asked if he believes the Middle East would be better today if Moammar Gadhafi of Libya and Saddam Hussein of Iraq were still in power, responded, “It’s not even a contest.” Meet The Press This is a sentiment that Trump took with him on Saturday to a rally in Franklin, Tennessee where he recalled our strategy with arming rebels during the days of Qaddafi's reign. Trump told about 1,500 in an event hall: "Then the rebels killed our ambassador in the worst way, what happened to him. And three other people, and many other people by the way. Okay? Remember that." In regards to Iraq, Trump echoed a familiar line from his campaign: "Don't forget, ISIS came out of Iraq," Trump recalled, calling the terror organization "the leftovers that didn't get taken care of." He also told the Franklin audience that during the time of Saddam Hussein's "vicious" rule in Iraq "there were no terrorists in Iraq." "You know what he used to do to terrorists?" Trump polled the crowd. "A one day trial and shoot him…and the one day trial usually lasted five minutes, right? There was no terrorism then."
And in light of recent bombing campaigns by Russian forces in Syria, Trump says that he likes "that Putin is bombin' the hell out of ISIS" not because he trusts him, but because he realizes that Putin "doesn't want ISIS coming into Russia." Trump still predicts that Putin will "get bogged down there" much like many other nations who have interceded in Middle Eastern affairs. "Everybody that's gone to the Middle East has had nothing but problems."

But should Trump's policy positions earn him anything but favorability in the polls, he seemed comfortable telling Chuck Todd that he'd be just as happy back in his business. "I'm not a masochist...If I were doing poorly, if I saw myself going down, if you would stop calling me because you no longer have any interest in Trump because 'he has no chance,' I'd go back to my business." Trump said that when he looks at the state of the Republican field at large there are some hopefuls who "should not be running any longer" because "they're not gonna make it."
"If I felt I was in that position, I'd get out," he told NBC News. "But in all fairness, I think I'm in the exact opposite position right now." NBC News/Wall Street Journal/Marist polling has Trump at the top of the latest polls out of Iowa and New Hampshire.

Donald Trump tonight called out Benghazi Special Committee chairman Trey Gowdy for making, as he said, a “big pivot” away from Hillary Clinton. Gowdy has been insisting in the media that despite what some have suggested, the Benghazi committee is not about going after Clinton and there are other things they’re looking into. This bothered Trump, who told Sean Hannity tonight that he’s concerned about Gowdy’s pivot from Clinton. He said, “I was trying to figure out what that was all about so, you may not be as happy as you think with these hearings, I just don’t know.” He suspected that Gowdy is trying to pull away from being too tough on Clinton––scheduled to testify Thursday––and while he didn’t say anything too critical of Gowdy, he did raise some doubts.Donald Trump joined hannity tonight to discuss the war of words with Jeb Bush after he suggested that Bush’s older brother and former President George W. Bush didn't keep the country safe because 9/11 occurred on his watch. On "Hannity," however, Donald Trump pointed out that in 2000, 19 months before September 11, 2001, he wrote extensively about the terrorism threat facing the U.S. in his book "The America We Deserve." The younger Bush has defended his brother by saying that no one could have seen the terror attack coming, also criticizing Trump's "lack of understanding" regarding foreign policy. "I really am convinced we’re in danger of the sort of terrorist attacks that will make the bombing of the Trade Center look like kids playing with firecrackers," Trump wrote. "No sensible analyst rejects this possibility, and plenty of them, like me, are not wondering if but when it will happen." Trump even identified Al Qaeda leader Usama bin Laden by name. "One day we’re told that a shadowy figure with no fixed address named [Usama] bin-Laden is public enemy number one, and U.S. jetfighters lay waste to his camp in Afghanistan," he wrote. "He escapes back under some rock, and a few news cycles later it’s on to a new enemy and new crisis."
Trump told Sean Hannity that he believes that as president, he could have prevented 9/11 because he has extremely tough illegal immigration policies, which would have kept some of the 9/11 hijackers out of the U.S.

bill o'reilly speaks to donald trump on him running for president. tonight in an O'Reilly Factor exclusive, Trump explains why he's the one Americans should trust to right the ship. Billionaire Donald Trump announced today that he's throwing his hat in the ring to run for president. O’Reilly Factor will feature an extensive interview with Trump that is expected to cover a wide variety of topics. And, according to some advance excerpts provided by Fox, Trump is holding nothing back. Trump has nothing nice to say about any of his fellow 2016 candidates, whether they are on the left or right side of the political spectrum.
“Well I don’t have a lot of respect for many of them, but yes I do a couple,” Trump said of the 2016 field, without naming any names. “But I will tell you I’ve been dealing with politicians all my life. They are all talk, no action.” Trump sat down with Bill O'Reilly for his first post-announcement interview and discussed a variety of topics, including how he would defeat ISIS.
"I would find our proper general. I would find the Patton or the MacArthur," Trump said. "I would hit them so hard your head would spin."
Trump also weighed in on the Iran nuclear talks and asserted that the biggest problem the world faces right now is maniacs controlling nuclear weapons.
"Obama wants to play golf instead of deal with people," Trump said. "Part of being a leader is to get everybody in line."
What would you do about Vladimir Putin? O'Reilly asked.
"I would be willing to bet I would have a great relationship with Putin," Trump said, adding that the Russian president has no respect for Obama. "You can't have everybody hating you. The whole world hates us."
O'Reilly noted that during his announcement, Trump promised to build a wall along the southern border and make Mexico pay for it. "The Factor" host stated that there's no way that they will pay for it.
"You have to let me handle that," Trump said. "They will pay for the wall, and the wall will go up. And Mexico will start behaving. Mexico is not our friend."
As for his fellow GOP presidential candidates, Trump said, "I don't have a lot of respect for many of them."
"They're all talk. They're no action. And they're totally controlled by their donors and by the lobbyists ... If we have another politician, this country's going down."
Stay tuned for the video.
On Jeb Bush specifically, Trump added, “I’m not a big fan of Jeb Bush. The last thing we need is another Bush.”
As for Hillary Clinton, Trump said he laughs when he sees her talk about income inequality. “That can be beaten. That can be beaten. All you have to do is take a look at her donor list,” he said, admitting that he could lose the general election for attacking her as a woman. “Maybe I don’t win for that reason,” he said. “But maybe I do.”
But while Trump had plenty of negative things to say about the Americans he is running against, he was surprisingly genial on the topic of Russia President Vladimir Putin.
“Putin has no respect for our president whatsoever. He’s got a tremendous popularity in Russia, they love what he’s doing, they love what he represents,” Trump said. “I was over in Moscow two years ago and I will tell you – you can get along with those people and get along with them well. You can make deals with those people. Obama can’t.”
“I would be willing to bet I would have a great relationship with Putin,” he added. “It’s about leadership.”
Finally, Trump laid out his unique plan to defeat ISIS. “I say that you can defeat ISIS by taking their wealth,” he said. “Take back the oil. Once you go over and take back that oil they have nothing. You bomb the hell out of them and then you encircle it, and then you go in. And you let Mobil go in, and you let our great oil companies go in. Once you take that oil they have nothing left.”
“I would hit them so hard,” he continued. “I would find you a proper general, I would find the Patton or MacArthur I would hit them so hard your head would spin.”
“There’s nobody bigger or better at the military than I am,” Trump declared with typical understatement.
We will post the full video of O’Reilly’s interview with Trump as soon as it becomes available.

bill o'reilly speaks to donald trump on him running for president. tonight in an O'Reilly Factor exclusive, Trump explains why he's the one Americans should trust to right the ship.

Donald Trump returned to Fox News tonight, effectively ending his boycott of the network, and faced a somewhat combative Bill O’Reilly, who told him he needs to be more “mature.” After O’Reilly had on two contributors critical of Trump, The Donald lashed out on Twitter, called him “negative,” and told him to stop having “Trump haters” on. This and other less-than-glowing coverage led Trump to announce a Fox News boycott that started last week and ended today. O’Reilly’s criticized Trump since then, but when Trump ended his boycott tonight, Trump immediately told O’Reilly he’s always considered him a fair person. The first segment was solely policy-focused, but the second segment was all about Trump’s relationship with the press and O’Reilly specifically. O’Reilly asked, “Am I fair to say that in order for you to win the Republican nomination that you’re going to have to change your style and be a bit kinder and more mature?”
Donld Trump sat with Bill O'Reilly Tonight ending his boycott on fox news. Bill O'Reilly asked Donald Trump tonight about his policy positions, including how he would deal with Russian President Vladimir Putin and Russia's growing presence in Syria. Trump said that in terms of leadership, he would give Putin an 'A,' while Obama isn't doing very well. He said that the U.S. invested trillions of dollars and thousands of American lives in the Middle East, and Putin is now taking over what we started. "He, frankly, wants to fight ISIS, and I think that's a wonderful thing," Trump said. "If he wants to fight ISIS, let him fight ISIS. Why do we always have to do everything?" O'Reilly said the downside of Putin fighting ISIS is that Russia will keep Syrian President Bashar al-Assad in power and then effectively control Syria. "We have given the Middle East to Putin and Iran, and they will run it for the foreseeable future," O'Reilly said. "I believe that's true," Trump said, pointing to incompetent U.S. leadership. Watch more from the "Factor" interview above.
Bill O'Reilly asked Donald Trump tonight about how he's treated by the media and what changes he might have to make to his public persona to secure the GOP nomination. O'Reilly acknowledged that Trump won't get a "fair shake" from the mainstream media, but he asked if Trump needs to change his style and become "a bit kinder and more mature." Trump disagreed with the word "mature," and said the 2016 isn't about being nice, but who's the most competent candidate. O'Reilly noted that Trump recently called his fellow GOP contender Marco Rubio a "clown" and said that type of name-calling isn't presidential. Trump said he's a counter-puncher and he simply reacted when Rubio attacked him on his policies. "He was a member of the gang of eight, which was a disaster, he was totally weak on immigration and, by the way, he hasn't changed," Trump said of the Florida senator. "That's fine," O'Reilly said. "It's the 'clown' stuff that's not fine."
"Well, OK, I can understand that," Trump replied.

Donald Trump hit back at his critics on "Media Buzz" today, saying that he "can't apologize" for making truthful statements about illegal immigrants and Mexico. Howard Kurtz asked the 2016 presidential candidate if he will apologize for the controversial statements he made about illegal immigrants and Mexico.
"I don't have to say that," Trump replied. "In terms of the border, it's a disgrace. Either we have a border or we don't have a country."
"I can never apologize for the truth, I don't mind apologizing for things, but I can't apologize for the truth," he added. "I said tremendous crime is coming across, everybody knows that's true, and it's happening all the time." Trump proclaimed that he's not a racist.
"I'm number two and I'm going up, people take me very seriously," Trump stated. "Frankly, I'm the one that's going to bring back health to the country. I'm going to make America great again; politicians aren't going to do that."
Trump said that he thinks his poll numbers will increase, because some Americans agree with his stance on immigration.

Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump stated he would revoke passports from people who go overseas to fight for ISIS and “You’re going to have to certainly look at” closing mosques “if the mosque is, you know, loaded for bear” on Tuesday’s “Varney & Co” on the Fox Business Network.
Trump [relevant remarks in first video] re-iterated his prior claim about George W. Bush and September 11th, he did say that former President Bill Clinton, along with Bush holds responsibility for the 9/11 attacks. He added, “Now, was Clinton possibly, also guilty? Yeah, yeah sure. He should have maybe been more vigilant. And he actually said he knew about Osama bin Laden. I knew about Osama bin Laden, because I wrote about him in my book, I think 19 months before the World Trade Center came down.”
He was also asked [relevant remarks begin in the second video] “Now, in the UK, in Britain, they’ve obviously got a terror problem. They’ve got a lot of youngsters going over to fight for ISIS, about — just under 1,000 are going over there, and they’ve got a whole new series of proposals to deal with this, including withdrawal of passports from some of these people who’ve gone –.”
Trump responded, “Absolutely good, good.”
After host Stuart Varney continued, “And closing some mosques, would you do the same thing in America.” Trump answered, “I would do that. Absolutely. I think it’s great.”
When asked if you could close a mosque, Trump then stated, “Well, I don’t know. I mean, I haven’t heard about the closing of the mosque. It depends, if the mosque is, you know, loaded for bear, I don’t know. You’re going to have to certainly look at it. But I can tell you one thing ,if somebody goes over and they want to fight for ISIS, they wouldn’t be coming back.”
Trump responded to a question about Democratic proposals for paid family leave with, “Well, it’s something that’s being discussed. I think we have to keep our country very competitive, so, you have to be careful of it, but certainly there are a lot of people discussing it.” Regarding a $15 an hour minimum wage, he said, “We have to keep our similar answer. You have to keep our country competitive. One of the reasons companies are leaving is because salaries are too high.”
When asked if he would pledge to have no new taxes, Trump said he could, but wouldn’t on the show, and “could certainly think about doing that. Because my taxes, and under my plan, as you know, I’m reducing taxes, I think more than any other candidate, by far.” He continued that this was no new taxes is “where my mindset is.”
He also added that he wasn’t a “big fan” of the minimum wage proposal, and expressed disagreement with free universal pre-K. He further expressed support for repealing Dodd-Frank and building the Keystone XL Pipeline while stating he opposes breaking up big banks.

Donald Trump sat down with hannity after the third gop debate on cnbc. Hannity pointed out to Trump that the CNBC moderators were clearly biased and immediately went on the attack against Trump, which led to his fellow GOP candidates coming to his defense. "I thought it was a great, Trump said. "There was a certain camaraderie up there tonight, not only with respect to me but with respect to everybody. It was very beautiful to watch." The first question of CNBC’s debate tonight was John Harwood asking Dondla Trump about some of the more out-there things he has said on the campaign trail, including how his “greatness would replace the stupidity and incompetence of others.” He asked, “Let’s be honest, is this the comic book version of a presidential campaign?” Trump answered, “It’s not a very nicely-asked question.” He brought up CNBC’s own Larry Kudlow, who Trump said loves his tax plan, and defended his policy to build a wall on the U.S.-Mexico border. Harwood kept confronting him on his tax plan, and again Trump invoked Kudlow and said CNBC should “fire” him if they don’t like his tax plan because Kudlow likes it. Asked first about his standing in a recent CNN/ORC poll, Trump said the controversy surrounding Hillary Clinton's email use is "devastating," and that it's not surprising that he came within 6 points of the Democrat in a head-to-head polling match-up.
"I think it's devastating for the election, but I think her bigger problem is not the election. I think her bigger problem is going to be the criminal (problem)," Trump said. Immigration
Trump isn't backing down from his call to revoke automatic citizenship for children born in the U.S. to undocumented immigrant parents despite concerns he'll turn Hispanic voters off to the GOP.
"I have to do the right thing," the mogul said in an interview with CNN's Chris Cuomo Wednesday, when asked about his immigration plan being under fire.
Trump has called for building a wall along the border with Mexico, revoking the right to citizenship to children born the U.S. if their parents aren't documented, and for deporting undocumented immigrants and then allowing "good ones" to re-enter the country.
He has been hit with criticism from some Republicans while taking and heavy fire from the left.
He even took flak as he sat down for the interview with CNN in Trump Tower, when an onlooker in the lobby of the building shouted: "You will never win the Latino vote. The Latino (voters) don't like you."
RELATED: Trump's immigration plan: the specifics
Trump didn't respond to the heckler, and after the interview finished taping, two people watching from the crowd told Trump they were Mexican-American and would gladly support him, which he relayed to Cuomo.
"You know, this country is so politically correct. Nobody wants to take a stance on anything," Trump told Cuomo. "Now they like to use the word undocumented because it's more political -- I don't use that word. They're illegal immigrants. They came over illegally. Some are wonderful people, and they've been here for a while. They've got to go out. They've got to leave."
He did say there were "a lot of good ones" among immigrants, and that he would try to bring them back.
"These people -- the really good ones, and we have some great ones -- we're going to try and expedite so they can come back," he said. "But they're going to come back legally."
RELATED: Trump's immigration plan: the specifics
The candidate also reiterated that he believes in changing birthright citizenship -- which grants automatic citizenship to all children born in the U.S. -- though he said he wouldn't need to amend the Constitution to do it.
"No. 1, the 14th Amendment is very questionable as to whether or not somebody can come over, have a baby and immediately that baby is a citizen. OK?" Trump said. "Amending is too big a deal. It's going to take -- it'll be two terms. I'd be in my second term or my eighth year by the time -- assuming everything went smoothly. ... I believe you can win it legally."
He said people can't be allowed to just "walk over" the border to give birth.
"You have people on the border and in one day they walk over, have a baby. And now all of a sudden we're supposed to pay the baby ... medical, Social Security," Trump said.
Clinton email scandal
While he said Clinton is not his "focus right now," he predicted she would struggle to get over the bad headlines generated by the investigation into her private server and the possible transmission of classified information in her private email, as well as the money she has raked in for speeches since leaving office.
"I think that Hillary's going to have a hard time being in the election based on what's going on with the emails, the servers, maybe even the speeches," Trump said. "I think it's going to be a very hard thing for her to overcome."

Title: President Park vows stronger S. Korea-U.S. alliance
President Park Geun-hye began her trip to Washington... with a visit to the Korean War Veterans Memorial.
In addition to paying tribute to the fallen heroes,... she pledged to further strengthen South Korea′s alliance with the United States.
Hwang Sung-hee has our top story.
Remembering the American soldiers who fought in the Korean War... was the first item on President Park′s itinerary in Washington.
She paid tribute with a wreath-laying ceremony at the Korean War Veterans Memorial on Wednesday,... calling them "true heroes."
She was joined by surviving veterans and family members of those who served in the war.
Vowing to further strengthen Seoul′s alliance with Washington, President Park said South Koreans will never forget those who helped them when they were in trouble.
"The Korean War is not the forgotten war, but a living history that people remember, and its meaning is revived."
More than 36-thousand-500 American soldiers sacrificed their lives during the 1950 to 1953 Korean War.
President Park also visited the NASA Goddard Space Flight Center... in an effort to strengthen cooperation with Washington on space issues, including lunar exploration.
"By expanding cooperation to the area of space, I hope to advance Korea′s space exploration capacity."
At a separate dinner event to mark the alliance between South Korea and the U.S., President Park noted their bilateral ties go way back to the Korean War... and said Seoul is a partner that Washington can truly trust.
The event was attended by roughly 600 people, including U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry.
"On Thursday, President Park will start her day with a visit to the Pentagon... as a sign of strong military ties between South Korea and the U.S.
Hwang Sung-hee, Arirang News, Washington."
Title: Professors declare boycott against government-issued history text
Back here in Korea...
A growing number of university professors are voicing their opposition to a government plan to issue a single, state-authorized history textbook.
Many have issued statements declaring their refusal to participate in the writing of the text,... and many more are likely to join.
Park Ji-won reports.
Dozens of history professors from the country′s most prestigious universities, including Korea and Yonsei University, have issued statements against the government′s decision to publish a single history textbook starting in 2017.
Thirteen history professors at Yonsei University issued a statement earlier this week saying they will not participate in the process of making the textbook in any way.
They were joined by 22 history professors at Korea University,... who said they can′t allow the government to push ahead with the plan,...
and nine history professors at Kyung Hee University,... who issued a similar statement.

With over 14,000 of its citizens killing themselves in 2012, South Korea is the suicide capital of the developed world, despite its booming economy.
This troubling trend has resulted in a lot of national soul-searching and the formation of the "Well Dying" or "Near Death" movement, which aims to help people appreciate their lives more and thus reduce the number of suicides. The most bizarre manifestation of this movement is the rise of "Fake Funeral" services, where people are lectured by a philosophical guru, told to write out their own eulogies, and ultimately climb into a coffin to meditate for 30 minutes so as to experience the afterlife.

South Korea’s development over the last half century has been nothing short of spectacular. Fifty years ago, the country was poorer than Bolivia and Mozambique; today, it is richer than New Zealand and Spain, with a per capita income of almost $23,000. For 50 years, South Korea’s economy has grown by an average of seven percent annually, contracting in only two of those years. In 1996, South Korea joined the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development, the club of rich industrialized countries, and in 2010, it became the first Asian country and the first non-G-7 member to host a G-20 summit.
To call South Korea an emerging market, therefore, is a bit of an anachronism. The country is a rich, technologically advanced, mature democracy with an impressive record of innovation, economic reform, and sound leadership. Yet South Korea is not exactly a developed market, either. The value of its exports plus imports (at $1.25 trillion a year) exceeds its national income (at $1.1 trillion). That openness, along with the lack of protection provided by a bloc such as the EU, subjects South Korea to greater market volatility than other major industrialized countries and presents some serious challenges. So, too, does its highly concentrated corporate sector, aging population, and politically dangerous neighborhood. South Korea may well be more dynamic than some developed economies, making it attractive to investors, but it is also much riskier.
SO LONG, KOREA DISCOUNT
Given South Korea’s extraordinary accomplishments, it is tempting to try to distill the secrets of its success, so that they can be bottled and used elsewhere. But South Korea’s remarkable leap from poverty to riches owes to a unique set of historical circumstances.
Soon after the division of the Korean Peninsula, in 1945, South Korea already had in place the building blocks for growth: an educated population, property rights, land reform that boosted productivity, and the institutions of modern capitalism. But then came the Korean War, which devastated the country. Investment did not take off until the country began to rebuild in the 1960s, when the authoritarian president Park Chung-hee (father of the current president, Park Geun-hye) embarked on a set of policy reforms that encouraged domestic saving and opened the economy up to international trade.
South Korea’s initial rapid growth was characterized by both political authoritarianism and extensive state intervention in the economy. In the 1970s and 1980s, Seoul channeled massive amounts of capital through subsidies and low-interest-rate loans into trusted family-led chaebol, or conglomerates. These favored firms also enjoyed trade preferences and monopoly rights, among other indulgences extended by the government. Such preferential treatment enabled the chaebol, which today include Hyundai and Samsung, to grow into massive business empires whose brands are now recognized and envied around the world. But the story has a dark side: today, the chaebol’s ongoing dominance poses challenges to regulators seeking to make South Korea’s markets more competitive. And the conglomerates’ historical ties to the country’s early dictators feed resentment among many South Koreans, who regard the businesses as having achieved their dominance unfairly.
Thank You!
God Bless

Thank You!

3rd week of Korean War - 44th division and South Korean army on the front part I | Combat Bulletins

The Korean War (25 June 1950 -- armistice signed 27 July 1953) was a military conflict between South Korea, supported by the United Nations, and North Korea, supported by the People's Republic of China (PRC), with military material aid from the Soviet Union. The war was a result of the physical division of Korea by an agreement of the victorious Allies at the conclusion of the Pacific War at the end of World War II.
The Korean peninsula was ruled by Japan from 1910 until the end of World War II. Following the surrender of Japan in 1945, American administrators divided the peninsula along the 38th Parallel, with United States troops occupying the southern part and Soviet troops occupying the northern part.
The failure to hold free elections throughout the Korean Peninsula in 1948 deepened the division between the two sides, and the North established a Communist government. The 38th Parallel increasingly became a political border between the two Koreas. Although reunification negotiations continued in the months preceding the war, tension intensified. Cross-border skirmishes and raids at the 38th Parallel persisted. The situation escalated into open warfare when North Korean forces invaded South Korea on 25 June 1950. It was the first significant armed conflict of the Cold War.
The United Nations, particularly the United States, came to the aid of South Korea in repelling the invasion. A rapid UN counter-offensive drove the North Koreans past the 38th Parallel and almost to the Yalu River, and the People's Republic of China (PRC) entered the war on the side of the North. The Chinese launched a counter-offensive that pushed the United Nations forces back across the 38th Parallel. The Soviet Union materially aided the North Korean and Chinese armies. In 1953, the war ceased with an armistice that restored the border between the Koreas near the 38th Parallel and created the Korean Demilitarized Zone (DMZ), a 2.5-mile (4.0 km) wide buffer zone between the two Koreas. Minor outbreaks of fighting continue to the present day.
With both North and South Korea sponsored by external powers, the Korean War was a proxy war. From a military science perspective, it combined strategies and tactics of World War I and World War II: it began with a mobile campaign of swift infantry attacks followed by air bombing raids, but became a static trench war by July 1951.

WORLD TRAVEL (EUROPE, ASIA, AFRICA, AMERICAS...)
Korean cuisine has evolved through centuries of social and political change. Originating from ancient agricultural and nomadic traditions in the Korean peninsula and southern Manchuria, Korean cuisine has evolved through a complex interaction of the natural environment and different cultural trends.[2][3]
Korean cuisine is largely based upon rice, vegetables, and meats. Traditional Korean meals are noted for the number of side dishes (banchan) that accompany steam-cooked short-grain rice. Kimchi is served often, sometimes at every meal. Commonly used ingredients include sesame oil, doenjang (fermented bean paste), soy sauce, salt, garlic, ginger, pepper flakes and gochujang (fermented red chili paste).
Ingredients and dishes vary by province. Many regional dishes have become national, and dishes that were once regional have proliferated in different variations across the country. The Korean royal court cuisine once brought all of the unique regional specialties together for the royal family. Meals are regulated by Korean cultural etiquette.
