BALTIMORE — Rioters looted stores and hurled rocks and bricks at Baltimore police Monday, injuring several officers just hours after thousands mourned the man who died after suffering a severe spinal injury in police custody.
Several hours later, the city remained in chaos: The National Guard was put on alert by the governor, ready to move in rapidly if needed, the Baltimore Orioles postponed their game and seven police officers were hurt.
Some of the officers had broken bones, and one was unresponsive, said Capt. Eric Kowalczyk. Television footage showed a police cruiser in flames and stores being overrun by small groups of people. A CVS store was set ablaze. Officers using shields and wearing helmets used pepper-spray in an effort to keep the rioters back.
A helicopter circled overhead as groups of rioters moved through the city. One group piled onto and rode a car as it drove down the street. Officers for the most part formed lines to keep protesters at bay.
Monday's riot was the latest flare-up over the mysterious death of Freddie Gray, whose fatal encounter with officers came amid the national debate over police use of force, especially when black suspects are involved. Gray was African-American.
The smell of burned rubber wafted in the air in one neighborhood where youths were looting a liquor store. Glass and trash littered the streets, and small fires were scattered about. One person from a church tried to shout something from a megaphone as two cars burned.
Gray's family was shocked by the violence and was lying low; instead, they hoped to organize a peace march later in the week, said family attorney Billy Murphy. He said they did not know the riot was going to happen and urged calm.
"They don't want this movement nationally to be marred by violence," he said. "It makes no sense."
Police urged parents to locate their children and bring them home. Many of those on the streets appeared to be African-American youths, wearing backpacks and khaki pants that are a part of many public school uniforms.
The riot broke out just as high school let out, and at a key city bus depot for student commuters.
Many who had never met Gray gathered earlier in the day in a Baltimore church to bid him farewell and press for more accountability among law enforcement.
The 2,500-capacity New Shiloh Baptist church was filled with mourners. But even the funeral could not ease mounting tensions.
Police said in a news release sent while the funeral was underway that the department had received a "credible threat" that three notoriously violent gangs are now working together to "take out" law enforcement officers.
A small group of mourners started lining up about two hours ahead of Monday's funeral. Placed atop Gray's body was a white pillow with a screened picture of him. A projector aimed at two screens on the walls showed the words "Black Lives Matter & All Lives Matter.”
The service lasted nearly two hours, with dignitaries in attendance including former Maryland representative and NAACP leader Kweisi Mfume and current Maryland Rep. John Sarbanes.
Erica Garner, 24, the daughter of Eric Garner, attended Gray's funeral. She said she came after seeing video of Gray's arrest, which she said reminded her of her father's shouts that he could not breathe when he was being arrested on a New York City street. Garner died during the confrontation.
"It's like there is no accountability, no justice," she said. "It's like we're back in the '50s, back in the Martin Luther King days. When is our day to be free going to come?"
With the Rev. Jesse Jackson sitting behind him, the Rev. Jamal Bryant gave a rousing and spirited eulogy for Freddie Gray, a message that received a standing ovation from the crowded church.
Bryant said Gray's death would spur further protests, and he urged those in the audience to join.
"Freddie's death is not in vain," Bryant said. "After this day, we're going to keep on marching. After this day, we're going to keep demanding justice."
Gray was arrested one week before he died when officers chased him through a West Baltimore neighborhood and dragged him into a police van.
Police said Gray was arrested after he made eye contact with officers and ran away. Officers held him down, handcuffed him and loaded him into the van. While inside, he became irate and leg cuffs were put on him, police have said.
Gray asked for medical help several times, beginning before he was placed in the van. After a 30-minute ride that included three stops, paramedics were called.
Authorities have not explained how or when Gray's spine was injured.

Anderson Hays Cooper (born June 3, 1967) is an American journalist, author, and television personality. He is the primary anchor of the CNN news show Anderson Cooper 360°. The program is normally broadcast live from a New York City studio; however, Cooper often broadcasts live on location for breaking news stories. As of September 2011, he also serves as host of his own eponymous syndicated daytime talk show, Anderson.
Anderson Hays Cooper was born on June 3, 1967, the younger son of the writer Wyatt Emory Cooper and the artist, designer, writer, and heiress Gloria Vanderbilt, and is a great-great-great-grandson of Cornelius Vanderbilt of the prominent Vanderbilt shipping and railroad fortune. Cooper's media experience began early. As a baby, he was photographed by Diane Arbus for Harper's Bazaar. He is also a descendant, through his mother, of Brevet Major General Hugh Judson Kilpatrick who was with Union General William T. Sherman in his March through Georgia.
At the age of 3 Cooper was a guest on The Tonight Show on September 17, 1970, appearing with his mother. At the age of 9, he appeared on To Tell the Truth as an impostor. From age 10 to 13 Cooper modeled with Ford Models for Ralph Lauren, Calvin Klein and Macy's.

David Michael Letterman (born April 12, 1947) is an American television host and comedian. He hosts the late night television talk show, Late Show with David Letterman, broadcast on CBS. Letterman has been a fixture on late night television since the 1982 debut of Late Night with David Letterman on NBC. Letterman recently surpassed friend and mentor Johnny Carson for having the longest late-night hosting career in the United States of America.
Letterman is also a television and film producer. His company Worldwide Pants produces his show as well as its network follow-up The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson. Worldwide Pants has also produced several prime-time comedies, the most successful of which was Everybody Loves Raymond, currently in syndication.
In 1996, David Letterman was ranked #45 on TV Guide's 50 Greatest TV Stars of All Time.
Letterman was born in Indianapolis, Indiana. His father, Harry Joseph Letterman (April 1915 – February 1973), was a florist of British descent; his mother Dorothy Letterman (née Hofert, now Dorothy Mengering), a Presbyterian church secretary of German descent, is an occasional figure on the show, usually at holidays and birthdays.

A CVS store was set ablaze. Officers using shields and wearing helmets used pepper-spray in an effort to keep the rioters back.
A helicopter circled overhead as groups of rioters moved through the city. One group piled onto and rode a car as it drove down the street. Officers for the most part formed lines to keep protesters at bay.
Monday's riot was the latest flare-up over the mysterious death of Freddie Gray, whose fatal encounter with officers came amid the national debate over police use of force, especially when black suspects are involved. Gray was African-American.
The smell of burned rubber wafted in the air in one neighborhood where youths were looting a liquor store. Glass and trash littered the streets, and small fires were scattered about. One person from a church tried to shout something from a megaphone as two cars burned.
Gray's family was shocked by the violence and was lying low; instead, they hoped to organize a peace march later in the week, said family attorney Billy Murphy. He said they did not know the riot was going to happen and urged calm.
"They don't want this movement nationally to be marred by violence," he said. "It makes no sense."
Police urged parents to locate their children and bring them home. Many of those on the streets appeared to be African-American youths, wearing backpacks and khaki pants that are a part of many public school uniforms.
The riot broke out just as high school let out, and at a key city bus depot for student commuters.
Many who had never met Gray gathered earlier in the day in a Baltimore church to bid him farewell and press for more accountability among law enforcement.
The 2,500-capacity New Shiloh Baptist church was filled with mourners. But even the funeral could not ease mounting tensions.
Police said in a news release sent while the funeral was underway that the department had received a "credible threat" that three notoriously violent gangs are now working together to "take out" law enforcement officers.
A small group of mourners started lining up about two hours ahead of Monday's funeral. Placed atop Gray's body was a white pillow with a screened picture of him. A projector aimed at two screens on the walls showed the words "Black Lives Matter & All Lives Matter.”
The service lasted nearly two hours, with dignitaries in attendance including former Maryland representative and NAACP leader Kweisi Mfume and current Maryland Rep. John Sarbanes.
Erica Garner, 24, the daughter of Eric Garner, attended Gray's funeral. She said she came after seeing video of Gray's arrest, which she said reminded her of her father's shouts that he could not breathe when he was being arrested on a New York City street. Garner died during the confrontation.
"It's like there is no accountability, no justice," she said. "It's like we're back in the '50s, back in the Martin Luther King days. When is our day to be free going to come?"
With the Rev. Jesse Jackson sitting behind him, the Rev. Jamal Bryant gave a rousing and spirited eulogy for Freddie Gray, a message that received a standing ovation from the crowded church.
Bryant said Gray's death would spur further protests, and he urged those in the audience to join.
"Freddie's death is not in vain," Bryant said. "After this day, we're going to keep on marching. After this day, we're going to keep demanding justice."

The answer is 1 hour and 55 minutes. The Witcher 3 is big, very big. But also very open, seperating Grand Theft Auto: V from Grand Theft Auto: SA. The total square miles is absolutely enormous tho, coming in a definite second place if the map was measured by square miles. But we walk and swim from one side to the other, on each of the 4 maps, Kaer Morhen, White Orchard, Nomans Land and the Skellige Isles. I tried to do my best in making this topic clear and I still feel as though I didn't give it due justice. 2 Thess 2 is so packed with truth and understanding that I could talk for hours on it and still not cover everything. But the gist of Paul is saying is to calm our fears and give us clear understanding of the sequence of events that MUST happen before the day of Christ takes place. The day of Christ is the day of His cruel anger and vengeance a.k.a. Daniel's 70th week. This can't happen until the antichrist is revealed. And the antichrist can't be revealed until "the" falling away or departure happens 1st. He can't mean falling away as in people losing their salvation because that would contradict real believers being sealed unto the day of redemption. He means that the restrainer has to be removed first which is the Holy Spirit working inside of the body of Christ, the church. This is "the" falling away or "the" departure. It is a definite event. G3588 "ho" or "hay" is the term used to describe "apo stazia" or falling away. It is the definite article "the", not "a". There have always been false believers coming in and defecting away from the truth since the church began so, that can't be a "definite" event because it's always been going on. But the gathering together of real believers unto Christ IS a "definite" event and fits the context of Paul's purpose of writing to the church at Thessalonika and fits the context of the passage itself from verse 1 to verse 8. The first 7 english translations before the 1611 KJV all had 2 Thess 2:3 read as "departure" not "falling away." Now, can the term mean "to forsake a faith or truth?" Absolutely. Just look at the other time the term was used in Acts 21:21. But again, always refer to the context, especially within the same chapter. 2 Thess 2, Paul gives a sequence of events TWICE. 1st in verse 3 and again verses 6-8. It goes like this:
1) "the" falling away...2) antichrist is revealed...3) Day of the Lord arrives
and again...
1) Restrainer is removed...2)Wicked one is revealed...3) Jesus destroys the wicked one
It's the same sequence. 1) "The" falling away or departure is the same event as the restrainer being removed.
2) The man of sin being revealed is the same event as the wicked one being revealed
3) The day of Christ being "at hand" is the same event as the Lord destroying the wicked one in verse 8

There is a bit of mystery shrouding this recording. I recently realised that the Part of Me is from the 05-24 Glasgow SBD, as it seems to be glued to Sober. It's hard to say exactly where the rest of tracks are from. Below are the notes from C.U.
"This is sourced from a cassette w/o DAT lineage associated to it. It is broken up, roughly, half on Side A at the end of a different performance with the other half being at the beginning of Side B of the tape. However, there is definite differences in the audio quality. It is unclear if Side A + Side B are the same performance or from a different show all-together. The information simply states "Feb 2 - Luxor". With no other information to go on, it is what it is. If this was/is the same set then Tool seemed to be in a rushed & hurried tone. There are no interactions with the crowd which is kind of odd for this time-period of the live performances' of Tool. Also, looking at the time of the recording this must be incomplete by at least 1-2 songs."

From an investor perspective, not so much, actually ... But let's not get too carried away here. Putting the (entirely legitimate) concerns about the amount of tax it pays in this country and elsewhere aside, Apple is still in absolutely excellent shape as a company ... ....
