Boston was a dominant team in the new league, defeating the Pittsburgh Pirates in the first World Series in 1903 and winning four more championships by 1918. However, they then went into one of the longest championship droughts in baseball history, called by some the "Curse of the Bambino" after its alleged beginning with the Red Sox's sale of Babe Ruth to the rival Yankees two years after their world championship in 1918, an 86-year wait before the team's sixth World Championship in 2004. However, the team's history during that period was hardly one of futility, but was rather punctuated with some of the most memorable moments in World Series history, including Enos Slaughter's "mad dash" in 1946, the "Impossible Dream" of 1967, Carlton Fisk's home run in 1975, and Bill Buckner's error in 1986. Red Sox history has also been marked by the team's intense rivalry with the New York Yankees, arguably the fiercest and most historic in North American professional sports. Since 2003, the Red Sox have been perennial playoff contenders and have won two World Series, emerging as one of the most successful MLB teams of the last decade.

ESPN 30 for 30 Short, The Deal - Alex Rodriguez To The Boston Red Sox
In 2004, the New York Yankees and the Boston Red Sox went after the best player in the game: Alex Rodriguez. The Babe Ruth of his time, with a pristine image and gargantuan contract, Rodriguez had but one request - He would only play for the Yankees or the Red Sox. That winter, the two rivals went for the golden boy and only one could prevail.
This historic winter of rumors, controversies, and money is captured in The Deal, an ESPN Films "30 for 30: Short" produced and directed by The Barnicle Brothers. Using first hand perspective from the likes of Larry Lucchino, Brian Cashman, John Hart, and Theo Epstein, The Deal takes a comprehensive look at one of baseball's wildest trades and offers an insider's perspective into the arms race between the Sox and Yankees and the man who stood at the center of it all, the reigning MVP: Alex Rodriguez.
The Deal is the latest project from Nick and Colin Barnicle, an award-winning duo of filmmakers whose passion for storytelling is only matched by their love of sports. After founding Prospect Productions in 2010, they have worked alongside producing partner Jeff Siegel to tell stories that humanize the intersection of culture and sports through the lens of those on the field, in the stands and behind-the-scenes. Their work has been featured on CBS, MSNBC, CNN, Huffington Post, Grantland and MLB.com and included unique interviews with Ed Burns, Keith Olbermann and Pete Hamill, among many others. In 2013, the team directed and produced the ESPN Films "30 for 30: Short" Holy Grail: The T206 Honus Wagner that showcased the dramatic story behind one of the most lucrative baseball cards in history.

Baseball News is a news/entertainment video blog that I created for fun but also because I love baseball. I make news about the teams during the season, trades in the off-season and the postseason run. I use MLB The Show games to make my videos of the teams I’m talking about because is more fun than me talking to the camara but sometimes I’ll use the facecam to the video or just make the news via the commentary (which saves a lot of time, LOL.)
But all in all, I hope you guys enjoy my videos and if any of you guys has an

Baseball News Ep.53 | Boston Red Sox-Philadelphia Phillies |
Baseball News Ep.53 | Boston Red Sox-Philadelphia Phillies |
Talking about the Boston Red Sox and Philadelphia Phillies.
But all in all, I hope you guys enjoy my videos and if any of you guys has any idea of any baseball topic, let me know in the COMMENTS section below and I’ll pick one after the videos of the teams are done! I’ll try to post a couple of videos a week, but if I can’t post any, then I’m either busy or busy LOL.
ENJOY!!!!!!!!

This is not a series of "fails" designed to invoke laughter at those far more successful than I'll ever be; it's a celebration of the peculiarities of the greatest game ever invented. The videos are organized by team: please don't consider this a jab at the Sox any more than a TV blooper real is at its respective sitcom. Relax!
These satirical mashups are not monetized. If you like what you see, please consider a donation to RBI ("Reviving Baseball in Inner cities"). Original video footage created by MLB; song listings are as follows:

Boston Red Sox 4 at Colorado Rockies 3, F -- A scintillating seven-game winning streak that began in Cleveland with the season on the brink of elimination ended with the Red Sox mobbing each other in the thin air of Coors Field of all places, culminating in a World Series championship that didn't take even close to 86 years this time around. It all ended with Jonathan Papelbon, the closer who has been brilliant all year and into the postseason, striking out Seth Smith on 95-mph heat. The fiery right-hander tossed his glove high in the air with joy, took his hat off and then embraced catcher Jason Varitek after saving the World Series clincher for left-hander Jon Lester. From there, it was a sea of Red Sox piling on top of each other in the middle of the diamond.

Boston Red Sox 1 at Tampa Bay Rays 3, F -- Akinori Iwamura stabbed Jed Lowrie's bad-hop grounder, had a moment of indecision about whether to flip the ball to shortstop Jason Bartlett, then he headed to second base. Once his foot touched down on the bag for the force out, the Rays were headed to the World Series, led by American League Championship Series MVP Matt Garza. A raucous celebration on and off the field followed saw Rays principal owner Stuart Sternberg presented the William Harridge trophy for winning the American League pennant. Iwamura moved across the top of the Rays' dugout, slapping palms with fans, and most of the crowd of 40,473 remained in the building, still standing and cheering for their team.
