Tindley Prep: Transforming Boys Into Scholars

An extension of the Charles A. Tindley Accelerated School, the Tindley Preparatory Academy is an all-boys middle school designed to help young urban boys become successful scholars regardless of their past academic performance.

Tindley Prep offers a unique curriculum focused on building scholar identity through a combination of rituals, routines, presentations, and many one-on-one conversations with students. Through accelerated classroom learning and character education, we empower boys to become successful scholars, preparing them for the rigors of high school and college opportunities.

In January 2013, Tindley will launch Coaches for College—a mentoring program designed to teach character development and behavioral expectations to middle school students as they prepare for high school, college, and ultimately, the professional world. The success of the program will depend on the participation of caring adult volunteers. Could one of them be you?
