Jeremiah (/dʒɛrᵻˈmaɪ.ə/;Hebrew: יִרְמְיָהוּ, Modern: Yirmeyahu [jiʁmeˈjahu], Tiberian: Yirmĭyāhū; Greek: Ἰερεμίας; Arabic: إرميا Irmiyā) meaning "Yah Exalts", also called the "Weeping prophet", was one of the major prophets of the Hebrew Bible (Christian Old Testament). Jeremiah is traditionally credited with authoring the Book of Jeremiah, 1 Kings, 2 Kings and the Book of Lamentations, with the assistance and under the editorship of Baruch ben Neriah, his scribe and disciple.
Judaism considers the Book of Jeremiah part of its canon, and regards Jeremiah as the second of the major prophets. Christianity also regards Jeremiah as a prophet and he is quoted in the New Testament.Islam too considers Jeremiah a prophet, and he is listed as a major prophet in Ibn Kathir's Qisas Al-Anbiya (Stories of the Prophets).
About a year after King Josiah of Judah had turned the nation toward repentance from the widespread idolatrous practices of his father and grandfather, Jeremiah's sole purpose was to reveal the sins of the people and explain the reason for the impending disaster (destruction by the Babylonian army and captivity), "And when your people say, 'Why has the Lord our God done all these things to us?' you shall say to them, 'As you have forsaken me and served foreign gods in your land, so you shall serve foreigners in a land that is not yours.'" God's personal message to Jeremiah, "Attack you they will, overcome you they can't," was fulfilled many times in the Biblical narrative: Jeremiah was attacked by his own brothers, beaten and put into the stocks by a priest and false prophet, imprisoned by the king, threatened with death, thrown into a cistern by Judah's officials, and opposed by a false prophet. When Nebuchadnezzar seized Jerusalem in 586 BC, he ordered that Jeremiah be freed from prison and treated well.

Modest Mouse is an American rock band formed in 1992 in Issaquah, Washington and currently based in Portland, Oregon. The founding members of this group are lead singer/guitarist Isaac Brock, drummer Jeremiah Green, and bassist Eric Judy. Strongly influenced by groups such as Pavement, the Pixies, XTC, and Talking Heads, the band rehearsed, rearranged, and recorded demos for almost two years before finally signing with small-town indie label, K Records, and releasing numerous singles. Since the band's 1996 debut album, This Is a Long Drive for Someone with Nothing to Think About, the group's lineup has centered on Brock and Green. Judy performed on every Modest Mouse album until his departure in 2012. Guitarist Johnny Marr (formerly of the Smiths) joined the band in 2006, shortly following percussionist Joe Plummer (formerly of the Black Heart Procession) and multi-instrumentalist Tom Peloso, to work on the album We Were Dead Before the Ship Even Sank. Guitarist Jim Fairchild joined the band in 2009. The band's sixth album, Strangers to Ourselves, was released on March 17, 2015.
I can not think of a more lovely way to ring in the new year than with friends, music, and an open fire. Our dear friend Jeremiah, hosted us in his home studio over the 2016 New Year holiday. We had the pleasure of playing with his amazing collection of gear and instruments while sharing some of our own favorites with him. In this video, Jeremiah is playing an electric kalimba (aka a thumb piano) through an Old Blood Noise Endeavors Dark Star, in various modes and an Empress SuperDelay in tape echo mode. At the very end around 9:30, you also hear the Montreal Assembly Count to 5 engaged in mode 2. All of this is going into a vintage silver face Fender Twin Reverb. Jeremiah Green plays drums for Modest Mouse and records sound designs with Darren Weiner under the moniker, World Gang. He has...
After winning the state championship in the triple jump with a leap of 50ft 3.5 inches, Hillsborough ATH, Jeremiah Green took his show on the road. Actually on the road, over the water and on land again. The 2013 football and track prospect was invited to compete in the Caribbean Scholastic Invitational to represent the United States held in Puerto Rico. And represent he did. Green and coaching staff departed Tuesday traveling to Puerto Rico for the prestigious event. Green jumped 49'2″ on his first jump which proved to be enough to win the competition. "It feels good to win. I put a lot of work into this," said Green. The International Champ was awarded a medal and Nike exclusive jumpsuit, "I'm going to be the only person in Hillsborough County with this jumpsuit. You can't buy this ...

One of my favorite memories this summer was taking a break from work while in Seattle to visit Jeremiah. We spent a couple days messing around and experimenting with sound outdoors among the trees that surround his home studio. During that time we shot this video of him on his custom copper C&C; drums which he personally oxidized with lemon juice. All musical composition was created by Jeremiah himself. So yeah. I'm done with "Night On the Sun". that was fun. That is the last of the official albums. Now, I'm waiting for a few more comments on my video "A few quick words from the Guercinator", and then I'll see if I'll upload some unofficial MM albums, or just move on the another band/one hit wonders. So yeah, I won't be uploading for a while either way. sorry, but I couldn't find any lyrics online to this, and I have no idea what he is saying.

Jeremiah Jae and Oliver the 2nd are cousins who grew up in Chicago and Los Angeles, respectively. Already from a musical family — Oliver's father, Phil Perry, is a smooth jazz R&B; singer and Jeremiah's played keys with Miles Davis and produced a few of his records — they have formed Black Jungle Squad, a collective of relatives and close friends. "Taking it back to the days when there was a lot more crews in hip-hop," says Jeremiah. "Like Native Tongues or Boogie Down Productions. Just the vibe of different people coming together and making stuff." Last year the two of them made made a conceptual mixtape called RawHyde. This spring Jeremiah produced Oliver's first solo project, called The Kill Off. The next project from the crew, nominally Jeremiah's, builds from another iconic TV show — ...
