The power of the United States military is stronger than the next five most powerful nations combined. With a defense budget of over $640,000,000 a year, the United States ensures its ability to remain dominant and protect its citizens. The defense budget alone is more than that of China, Russia, Saudi Arabia, France, United kingdom, Germany, Japan, and India's combined, which are the next eight highest spenders. The technology and training of our military remains superior above all else.

After more than a decade fighting insurgents in Iraq and Afghanistan, the US Army is shifting its focus to larger, more complex, and more dangerous global threats. As such, the army conducted Operation Dragon Spear — its largest airborne assault exercise in more than a decade — to test and demonstrate its ability to deliver a significant ground combat force from the air in a major conflict, and then hold whatever it captures.

WEST POINT, NEW YORK — On August 20, thirty future-Army-officers were injured during West Point's annual pillow fight, held to celebrate the completion of their first semester at the US Military Academy. The annual pillow fight has been a West Point's tradition since 1897.
How does one get hurt in a pillow fight? Well, this is no average slumber party pillow fight amongst 13-year-old girls. These guys just finished basic Army training. The first summer at West Point is notoriously tough, so the pillow fight tradition is meant to let the cadets blow off some steam.

It most certainly is not your Daddy's Air Force Basic Military Training (AFBMT) anymore. Since November 2005, the Air Force has changed the way they turn civilians into Air Force members, emphasizing war-fighting and remote deployment skills much more than they have in years past. First, they toughened up the physical fitness standards. Then they placed greater emphasis on weapons training. Next, they replaced classroom training on folding underwear into six-inch squares, with additional training on combat-related skills such as first aid "buddy care," and chemical/biological weapons defense.

NEW ADVANCED US Military transport helicopter concept
A new concept transport helicopter has been unveiled for the US military in the United States. AVX employs a horizontally integrated manufacturing strategy that utilizes a large compliment of world-class aviation industry team mates. By teaming with experienced aerospace companies for development of the AVX JMR/FVL design (see image below), AVX keeps the cost of development and eventual production of the aircraft lower than our competitors while delivering the highest levels of performance by the aircraft.
FVL (Future of Vertical Lift) Program by the US Armed Forces seeks to develop replacement vertical lift aircraft for the aging USA Armed Forces helicopter fleet. the precursor for the FVL is the JMR (Joint Multi-Role) Helicopter Program providing technology demonstrations. This video reveals the AVX Aircraft Company's answer to that challenge.
THE AVX JMR AIRCRAFT
The AVX design offers the capabilities the Army wants for the future fleet of utility and attack aircraft at a very attractive price. The AVX JMR aircraft has entry doors on both sides of the fuselage as well as a large rear ramp for easy cargo handling. Additionally it has retractable landing gear and the attack variant (see below) carries all armaments stored inside until needed which provides a “clean” aerodynamic design.
AVX has teamed with a number of experienced aerospace companies for development of the AVX JMR/FVL design. The teaming concept has allowed AVX to keep the cost of development and eventual production of the aircraft lower than those of other offerings while maintaining a high level of performance by the aircraft.
UTILITY PERFORMANCE
The illustration below visualizes the configuration for the AVX FVL in "Utility" performance mode. Notable are its specifications for payload capacity, forward speed, takeoff/landing performance and ease of maintenance.
ATTACK PERFORMANCE
The illustration below visualizes the various configurations available for the AVX FVL in "Attack" performance mode. Notable are the retracted armaments and ramp for better aerodynamic performance and ease of loading, respectively.
The United States Armed Forces[1] are the federal military forces of the United States. They consist of the Army, Navy, Marine Corps, Air Force, and Coast Guard.[7] The United States has a strong tradition of civilian control of the military. The President of the United States is the military's overall head, and helps form military policy with the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD), a federal executive department, acting as the principal organ by which military policy is carried out. The DoD is headed by the Secretary of Defense, who is a civilian and Cabinet member. The Defense Secretary is second in the military's chain of command, just below the President, and serves as the principal assistant to the President in all DoD-related matters.[8] To coordinate military action with diplomacy, the President has an advisory National Security Council headed by a National Security Advisor. Both the President and Secretary of Defense are advised by a seven-member Joint Chiefs of Staff, which includes the head of each of the Defense Department's service branches as well as the chief of the National Guard Bureau. Leadership is provided by the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff and the Vice Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff.[9] The Commandant of the Coast Guard is not a member of the Joint Chiefs of Staff.
All of the branches work together during operations and joint missions, under the Unified Combatant Commands, under the authority of the Secretary of Defense with the exception of the Coast Guard, which is under the administration of the Department of Homeland Security and receives its operational orders from the Secretary of Homeland Security. However, the Coast Guard may be transferred to the Department of the Navy by the President or Congress during a time of war.[10] All five armed services are among the seven uniformed services of the United States, the two others being the U.S. Public Health Service Commissioned Corps (under the Department of Health and Human Services) and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration Commissioned Officer Corps (under the Department of Commerce).
From the time of its inception, the military played a decisive role in the history of the United States. A sense of national unity and identity was forged as a result of victory in the First Barbary War and the Second Barbary War. Even so, the Founders were suspicious of a permanent military force and not until the outbreak of World War II did a large standing army become officially established. The National Security Act of 1947, adopted following World War II and during the Cold War's onset, created the modern U.S. military framework; the Act merged previously Cabinet-level Department of War and the Department of the Navy into the National Military Establishment (renamed the Department of Defense in 1949),

The National Security Act of 1947, adopted following World War II and during the Cold War's onset, created the modern U.S. military framework; the Act merged previously Cabinet-level Department of War and the Department of the Navy into the National Military Establishment (renamed the Department of Defense in 1949),
A great combat simulation video demonstrating the capability of the US Military Long Range Anti Ship Missile against Russian navy ships. The Long Range Anti-Ship Missile (LRASM) is a stealthy anti-ship cruise missile under development for the US Navy by the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA).[4] The LRASM is intended as a replacement for the US Navy's current anti-ship missile, the Harpoon, which has been in service since 1977. Various launch platform configurations are being evaluated. LRASM is anticipated to pioneer autonomous targeting capabilities for anti-ship missiles.
The Navy was authorized by the Pentagon to put the LRASM into limited production as an operational weapon in February 2014 as an urgent capability stop-gap solution to address range and survivability problems with the Harpoon anti-ship missile and to prioritize defeating enemy warships, which has been neglected since the end of the Cold War but taken on importance with the modernization of the Chinese People’s Liberation Army Navy. The Navy will hold a competition for the Offensive Anti-Surface Warfare (OASuW)/Increment 2 anti-ship missile as a follow-on to LRASM to enter service in 2024.[5]
Competitors to Lockheed Martin had protested the decision to award them a contract for 90 LRASMs given the circumstances of selection and competition for the missile. Raytheon claimed their JSOW-ER had comparable capabilities with lower costs. The Navy responded by saying Lockheed's LRASM program was limited in scope, the decision to move ahead with them was made after an initial DARPA contract award, and that it was an urgent need to face future threats. The OASuW Increment 2 competition will be completely open and start by FY 2017.[6] It is expected the LRASM will compete against the joint Kongsberg/Raytheon offering of the Joint Strike Missile (JSM) for air-launch needs and an upgraded Raytheon Tomahawk cruise missile for surface-launch needs.[1]

Unlike current anti-ship missiles the LRASM will be capable of conducting autonomous targeting, relying on on-board targeting systems to independently acquire the target without the presence of prior, precision intelligence, or supporting services like Global Positioning Satellite navigation and data-links. These capabilities will enable positive target identification, precision engagement of moving ships and establishing of initial target cueing in extremely hostile environment. The missile will be designed with advanced counter-countermeasures to effectively evade hostile active defense systems.[7]
The LRASM is based on the AGM-158B JASSM-ER, but incorporates a multi-mode radio frequency sensor, a new weapon data-link and altimeter, and an uprated power system. It can be directed to attack enemy ships by its launch platform, receive updates via its datalink, or use onboard sensors to find its target. LRASM will fly towards its target at medium altitude then drop to low altitude for a sea skimming approach to counter anti-missile defenses. DARPA states its range is greater than 200 nmi (370 km; 230 mi).[8] Although the LRASM is based on the JASSM-ER, which has a range of 500 nmi (930 km; 580 mi), the addition of the sensor and other features will somewhat decrease that range.[9]
To ensure survivability to and effectiveness against a target, the LRASM is equipped with a BAE Systems-designed seeker and guidance system, integrating jam-resistant GPS/INS, passive RF and threat warning receiver, an imaging infrared (IIR infrared homing) seeker with automatic scene/target matching recognition, a data-link, and passive Electronic Support Measure (ESM) and radar warning receiver sensors. Artificial intelligence software combines these features to locate enemy ships and avoid neutral shipping in crowded areas. Automatic dissemination of emissions data is classified, located, and identified for path of attack; the data-link allows other assets to feed the missile a real-time electronic picture of the enemy battlespace. Multiple missiles can work together to share data to coordinate an attack in a swarm. Aside from short, low-power data-link transmissions, the LRASM does not emit signals, which combined with the stealthy JASSM airframe and low IR signature reduces detectability. Unlike previous radar-only seeker-equipped missiles that went on to hit other vessels if diverted or decoyed, the multi-mode seeker ensures the correct target is hit in a specific area of the ship.

The U.S. military is one of the largest militaries in terms of number of personnel. It draws its manpower from a large pool of paid volunteers; although conscription has been used in the past in various times of both war and peace, it has not been used since 1972. As of 2013, the United States spends about $554.2 billion annually to fund its military forces, and appropriates approximately $88.5 billion to fund Overseas Contingency Operations.[5] Put together, the United States constitutes roughly 39 percent of the world's military expenditures. For the period 2010–14, SIPRI found that the United States was the world's biggest exporter of major arms, accounting for 31 per cent of global shares. The United States was also the world's eight largest importer of major weapons for the same period.[11] The U.S. Armed Forces has significant capabilities in both defense and power projection thanks to its advanced and powerful equipment and its widespread deployment of force around the world.

The history of the U.S. military dates to 1775, even before the Declaration of Independence marked the establishment of the United States. The Continental Army, Continental Navy, and Continental Marines were created in close succession by the Second Continental Congress in order to defend the new nation against the British Empire in the American Revolutionary War.
These forces demobilized in 1784 after the Treaty of Paris ended the War for Independence. The Congress of the Confederation created the United States Army on 3 June 1784, and the United States Congress created the United States Navy on March 27, 1794, and the United States Marine Corps on July 11, 1798. All three services trace their origins to the founding of the Continental Army (on 14 June 1775), the Continental Navy (on 13 October 1775) and the Continental Marines (on 10 November 1775), respectively.

SUPER FAST Sikorsky S 97 Raider Attack Helicopter for us military
Another great idea for a military attack helicopter this will be useful for the united states military. The Sikorsky S-97 Raider is a proposed high-speed scout and attack helicopter, under development by Sikorsky Aircraft. Sikorsky planned to offer it for the United States Army's Armed Aerial Scout program, along with other possible uses.[3]
Design and development[edit]
First proposed in response to a Request for Information for the Armed Aerial Scout program in March 2010,[4] the S-97 was formally launched on 20 October 2010. It is intended as a possible contender for the United States Army's requirement for an Armed Aerial Scout to replace the Bell OH-58D Kiowa Warrior.[3] Other military roles are possible,[3] with the U.S. Special Operations Command having expressed interest in the concept as a replacement for the MH-6 Little Bird,[5][6] and the possibility of adapting it for civilian applications also exists.[5]
Based on the technology from the Sikorsky X2 demonstrator, the prototype S-97s will be powered by a General Electric T700 turboshaft engine,[3] however a more powerful engine, developed under the Improved Turbine Engine Program, is expected to become available.[3] The S-97 will be capable of cruising speeds upwards of 200 knots.[7]
The S-97 design includes coaxial main rotors and a pusher propeller,[4] making the S-97 a compound helicopter. The S-97 will be capable of carrying up to six passengers, in addition to a flight crew of two in a side-by-side cockpit.[4] However, the production S-97 is projected to be capable of flying with either one or two pilots, or autonomously.[3] Space for a targeting sensor has been reserved, however it will not be installed in the prototype aircraft.[3]
The S-97 was projected to undergo a program review in 2011,[4] and is expected to make its first flight[3] at the end of 2014.[8] Sikorsky plans to build two prototypes of the S-97 as demonstrators. One prototype is expected to be used for flight testing, while the second is planned for use as a demonstrator. The first prototype was planned to fly in late 2013 or early 2014 near the release of the Armed Aerial Scout Request for Proposals.[5][7] Sikorsky started construction of the two prototypes in October 2012.[9] In September 2013, Sikorsky began final assembly of the first S-97 Raider following delivery of the single-piece, all-composite fuselage by Aurora Flight Sciences.[10]
Sikorsky is also using the technology, along with partner Boeing, as a basis from which to develop a high-speed rigid rotor co-axial design for the army's Joint Multi-Role Technology Demonstrator (JMR TD) programme. The JMR TD is the precursor to the army's estimated USD100 billion Future Vertical Lift (FVL) programme, which is meant to replace the army's UH-60 Black Hawk utility helicopters and AH-64 Apache attack helicopters.[11]
The aircraft is powered by one General Electric YT706 engine, the same engine used on the UH-60M Black Hawk. The first Raider is scheduled to fly at the end of 2014. One will be used for tests, and the other for demonstrations. Sikorsky wants to offer the S-97 for the AAS program, but also wants the helicopter to fly before the Army makes its downselect. Sikorsky and its suppliers are spending around $200 million on two prototypes, but production models must meet the $15 million unit cost budgeted for the program. The Army was still deciding whether or not to proceed with the competition or extend the service life of the OH-58 Kiowa.[12] The Army ended the AAS program in late 2013.[13]
In February 2014, construction of the first S-97 prototype airframe was one-quarter complete. Simulated bird strikes testing had been conducted on the fuselage at speeds of up to 235 kn (435 km/h; 270 mph), the S-97's expected maximum flight speed. Drop tests were also performed to ensure the safety of the fuel tanks in the event of a crash. Sikorsky is exploring civil applications for the S-97, such as transporting personnel between offshore oil platforms.[14]
Budget projections for FY 2015 include a measure to retire the U.S. Army's OH-58 Kiowa fleet and remove AH-64 Apache attack helicopters from U.S. Army Reserve and U.S. Army National Guard control and transfer them to the active Army to take the place of the aerial scout role. Sikorsky has suggested the possibility of buying the S-97 Raider as a replacement for the loss of Apaches to fulfill armed helicopter needs.[15]
On 5 May 2014, Sikorsky opened the production hanger to the S-97 during the rollout of the CH-53K King Stallion. The company plans to fly the aircraft by 1 December 2014. The mostly composite airframe was almost fully assembled and included wiring and some avionics systems; still missing was the transmission, drive train, engine, coaxial rotor, and pusher propeller. The wiring is to be completed to power-on electrical systems by the end of May. The S-97's first military customer is aimed to be the U.S.

US military conducts live fire military training exercise to send a message to terrorists. The United States Armed Forces[N 1] are the federal military forces of the United States.
The National Security Act of 1947, adopted following World War II and during the Cold War's onset, created the modern U.S. military framework; the Act merged previously Cabinet-level Department of War and the Department of the Navy into the National Military Establishment (renamed the Department of Defense in 1949), headed by the Secretary of Defense; and created the Department of the Air Force and National Security Council.
The U.S. military is one of the largest militaries in terms of number of personnel. For the period 2010-14, SIPRI found that the United States was the world's biggest exporter of major arms, accounting for 31 per cent of global shares.

Raw Coverage of US Military's Operation Dragon Spear
After more than a decade fighting insurgents in Iraq and Afghanistan, the US Army is shifting its focus to larger, more complex, and more dangerous global threats. As such, the army conducted Operation Dragon Spear — its largest airborne assault exercise in more than a decade — to test and demonstrate its ability to deliver a significant ground combat force from the air in a major conflict, and then hold whatever it captures.

30 West Point Military Academy cadets injured after annual pillow fight turns violent - TomoNews
The rules are simple: Wear a helmet, wallop your classmates, and try not to get injured. You'd think these supposedly disciplined grown men could follow basic instructions. But, the merriment took a turn for the worse when the cadets stuffed their pillows with various blunt objects. The result? Concussions and broken bones.
West Point said in a statement that they regret the violent outcome of the pillow fight, and that they are investigating the cause of the injuries. So, this is boys being boys? Though West Point insists that all the injured cadets are now back on duty, there is one who is still recovering as of September 6.
This isn't the first time the pillow fight went awry. The 2013 West Point pillow fight was cancelled after a cadet stuffed his pillow with a lockbox during the 2012 pillow fight.

Next Terminator Weapons of US Military in Future | New Documentary 2015
Kay Griggs was a military wife who learned way too much about her husband's job. Her husband would drink too much and he started talking openly about the real workings of the U.S. military, leadership training, drug-running and weapons sales, and the secret worldwide camps that train professional assassins. His stories were about murder, corruption, assassinations, and government lies. After he disappeared for a short time, she began receiving threats and decided to tell her story.
Kay is a professing Christian and was married to Marine Corps Colonel George Griggs in the late 1980s, who raised to an influential position as Chief of Staff. She came to realize that he was entirely mind-controlled. He abused and battered her when he drank.
These unedited interviews with Pastor Rick Strawcutter of Adrian, Michigan, were conducted in 1998. Kay reports of world events and our current global scenario.
During these interviews Kay Griggs exposes a long history of patent wrongs, which include:
- homosexual initiation rites in the U.S. military-
-particularly within the Marines;
- well-documented instances of both
- homosexual and
- hetero pedophilia, often as brazen rape, amongst
U.S. military figures and notable senior statesmen,
Henry Kissinger being named loudly by Mrs. Griggs.
Griggs, in her videotaped interviews recently, discovered her husband's diary and was suitably horrified at what she read.
She then began asking questions of her friends in the military wives club, and many of them confessed to the same dirty little secrets.
Her candor on video is both disturbing and compelling: the woman has come to grips with the fact that this "culture," as she calls it, is rife within senior U.S. military, and that the stain of being called out as a queer is what keeps the men quiet - to the arms - and drugs - running that are a vital function
of Our Military.
Pastor Rick Strawcutter had a pirate radio station which was shut down in the early 2000s. Kay Griggs had been urged by friends to call in to his show, and did so in 1998. Pastor Strawcutter kept her on the air for an hour, and invited her to come to Michigan for a longer interview. Kay felt strongly that her experiences and stunning knowledge of how our country is run needed to be known, so she agreed.
Download this full interview and keep a local copy as reference. You will never find such revelation of the truth at the top levels of the US Military anywhere else.

US Aircraft Carrier Documentary - Monster Warship Of The Sea - Military Channel
An attack aircraft carrier is a battleship with a full-length flight deck and centers for bring, arming, setting up, as well as recuperating aircraft that acts as a seagoing airbase. Normally, it is the resources ship of a fleet, as it permits a naval force to project air power worldwide without depending on regional bases for staging airplane procedures. It is incredibly costly to build as well as crucial to shield. Warship have advanced from converted cruisers to nuclear-powered warships that bring various competitor aircrafts, strike plane, helicopters, as well as various other sorts of airplane.
There is no solitary meaning of an "carrier", as well as modern navies need numerous versions of the kind. These variants are in some cases classified as sub-types of attack aircraft carrier, as well as occasionally as distinct kinds of marine aviation-capable ships. Attack aircraft carrier might be classified baseding on the type of airplane they carry as well as their operational assignments. Admiral Sir Mark Stanhope, previous head of the Royal Navy, has stated that "To put it merely, nations that aspire to critical international impact have warship".

History[edit]
Main article: Military history of the United States

The National Security Act of 1947, adopted following World War II and during the Cold War's onset, created the modern U.S. military framework; the Act merged previously Cabinet-level Department of War and the Department of the Navy into the National Military Establishment (renamed the Department of Defense in 1949), headed by the Secretary of Defense; and created the Department of the Air Force and National Security Council.
The U.S. military is one of the largest militaries in terms of number of personnel. For the period 2010-14, SIPRI found that the United States was the world's biggest exporter of major arms, accounting for 31 per cent of global shares. The United States was also the world's eight largest importer of major weapons for the same period.[11] The U.S. Armed Forces has significant capabilities in both defense and power projection thanks to its advanced and powerful equipment and its widespread deployment of force around the world.
History[edit]
Main article: Military history of the United States

The U.S. Armed Forces as a whole possess large quantities of advanced and powerful equipment, along with widespread placement of forces around the world, giving them significant capabilities in both defense and power projection. As such, it is widely accepted that the United States Armed Forces constitutes the most powerful military in the world.[10]
The U.S. has the world's largest defense budget. In fiscal year 2010, the Department of Defense had a base budget of $533.8 billion. An additional $130.0 billion was requested for "Overseas Contingency Operations" in the War on Terrorism, and over the course of the year, an additional $33 billion in supplemental spending was added to Overseas Contingency Operations funding.[17][18] Outside of direct Department of Defense spending, the U.S. spends another $218--262 billion each year on other defense-related programs, such as Veterans Affairs, Homeland Security, nuclear weapons maintenance, and the State Department.
By service, $225.2 billion was allocated for the Army, $171.7 billion for the Navy and Marine Corps, $160.5 billion for the Air Force and $106.4 billion for defense-wide spending.[19] By function, $154.2 billion was requested for personnel, $283.3 billion for operations and maintenance, $140.1 billion for procurement, $79.1 billion for research and development, $23.9 billion for military construction, and $3.1 billion for family housing.[20]
In fiscal year 2009, major defense programs also saw continued funding.

- homosexual initiation rites in the U.S. military-
-particularly within the Marines;
