Bobby Jindal responds to criticism from Muslim activists (Mediaite) Gov. Bobby Jindal (R-LA) has generated controversy for himself, yet again, by proposing that the U.S. government reform immigration laws to actively exclude Muslims who might potentially “want to come and try to impose some variant of Sharia law.” On Wednesday evening, Fox’s Megyn Kelly pressed the governor a bit on whether such ideas violate fundamental American principles. In recent months, Jindal has described Muslim immigration as an “invasion” of sorts. His recent suggestion on federal policy, however, has drawn the ire of Muslim-American advocacy groups alleging that he is attempting to “pander to society’s margins” to regain points in GOP primary polling. “America’s built on religious liberty,” the governor told Kelly tonight. “We don’t discriminate against anybody of any religion and certainly there are many Muslims that are proud patriotic Americans. That’s great. It’s also true there are radical Muslims — Muslims that want to treat women as second-class citizens, those who want to use our freedoms to manager others.” Kelly pushed back on the governor a tad. “Members of ISIS may be a different story,” she said, “but just to say that if you are a radical Islamist or, more specifically, if you believe in Sharia law, then you won’t be allowed into the United States is controversial.” She then asked: “Who decides how far into Sharia law you have to be? Who decides who’s a radical Islamist and who’s just an Islamist?” Jindal replied that Americans have the right to hold many bigoted beliefs, but “you don’t have the right to come here and say for example you think women should be treated as second-class citizens.” Sensing an inherent contradiction there, Kelly asked of the governor: “Why don’t you have that right? Why not? This is a country with lots of crazy beliefs… [A]re we going to start banning everybody who doesn’t treat women or children or criminals for that matter the way we like?” Jindal, in return, pivoted to comparing the United States to Europe, claiming that those countries have “second- and third-generation [citizens] that don’t consider themselves part of that society.” video footage caught on tape cellphone camera surveillance raw dash cam air live on tv share comment like most popular

D'Souza attended non-denominational Calvary Chapel from 2000 at least until 2010. D'Souza says that his Catholic background is important to him, but he is also comfortable with Protestant Reformation theology; he identifies as a nondenominational Christian. He often writes and discusses Christian apologetics and has debated against prominent atheists and skeptics, including Dan Barker, Christopher Hitchens, Peter Singer, Daniel Dennett, Michael Shermer, and Bart Ehrman. In a Christian Science Monitor article, he stated, "the moral teachings of Jesus provide no support for – indeed they stand as a stern rebuke to – the historical injustices perpetrated in the name of Christianity." D'Souza often speaks out against atheism, nonbelief, and secularism. He elaborated his views in his 2007 book, What's so Great about Christianity. In 2009, he published Life After Death: The Evidence, which attempts to use scientific and philosophical arguments to support the concept of the afterlife. He also relies on theoretical physics to support the concept of God and the fine-tuned Universe, and to refute atheist arguments. The book earned praise from atheist Christopher Hitchens for Dinesh's argumentative skills. In 2012, D'Souza published Godforsaken, which addresses questions of how a benevolent God could allow evil and suffering in the world. D'Souza says "living creatures are the products of intelligent design," but he is not a proponent of the intelligent design (ID) movement, as he does not consider ID to be a satisfactory alternative to the theory of evolution by natural selection. He argues that belief in the afterlife and in a supreme being are reasonable conclusions given the evidence available, and that atheists have misrepresented the case for Christianity on many fronts. In a Catholic Education Resource Center article, he shared his belief on the separation of church and state: "Groups like the ACLU, with the acquiescence if not collusion of the courts, are actively promoting a jurisprudence of anti-religious discrimination. In a way the Supreme Court has distorted the Constitution to make religious believers of all faiths into second-class citizens." D'Souza argues that current jurisprudence unfairly promotes secularism.[38] More clearly, D'Souza states, "Today courts wrongly interpret separation of church and state to mean that religion has no place in the public arena, or that morality derived from religion should not be permitted to shape our laws. Somehow freedom for religious expression has become freedom from religious expression. Secularists want to empty the public square of religion and religious-based morality so they can monopolize the shared space of society with their own views."[39] D'Souza stated that he has studied radical Islam for several years[40] and read the Qur'an.[41] D'Souza debated Robert Spencer about Islam at the 2007 Conservative Political Action Conference and labelled Spencer an "Islamophobe". D'Souza said Spencer was "an effective polemicist" in his writings on Islam. D'Souza has appeared on numerous national television networks and programs.[47] On November 30, 2007, he debated Tufts University professor Daniel Dennett at Tufts on whether or not God was a man-made invention.[48] Six days after the September 11, 2001 attacks, D'Souza appeared on Politically Incorrect hosted by Bill Maher. He disputed the assertion that terrorists were cowards by saying, "Look at what they did. You have a whole bunch of guys who were willing to give their life; none of them backed out. All of them slammed themselves into pieces of concrete. These are warriors." Maher agreed with D'Souza's comments and said, "We have been the cowards. Lobbing cruise missiles from two thousand miles away". Maher's comments ultimately led to advertisers ending their support and his show being cancelled.[49] During an interview on The Colbert Report on January 16, 2007, while promoting his book, The Enemy At Home: The Cultural Left and Its Responsibility for 9/11, D'Souza maintained that liberals had some responsibility for the September 11 attacks. He says liberals' "penchant for interference" had a decided effect in convincing the Carter administration to withdraw support from the Shah, which brought on Muslim fundamentalists control of the Iranian government. He also said that the distorted representation of American culture on television is one source of resentment of the United States by Muslims worldwide. D'Souza believes that traditional Muslims are not too different from traditional Jews and Christians in America. Towards the end of the interview, he admitted that he and Islamic militants share some of the same negative beliefs about liberal Americans. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dinesh_D%27Souza
I believe this new model of women occupying the highest positions in politics and as freedom fighters on the front line against ISIS poses important challenges to feminist peace theorising. We need to examine the political context, and the outcome of conflicts on women and their futures. In the case of Kurdish women, taking up arms and fighting on the front line is perhaps their best option. To refuse to become slaves, to be raped, killed or ruled by Islamic Sharia law under ISIS is only viable through armed resistance. We still do not know about the fate of hundreds of Yezidi women who were captured by ISIS when they invaded Shengal in Iraqi Kurdistan. This new figure, the female freedom fighter in the heart of a revolutionary culture, provides hope. Most of the time we hear them repeat that they don't want to remain in traditional family relations or just bring up kids; they want to live freely, and to be independent. These statements are extremely important in terms of rejecting marriage as a form of domesticating women and relegating them to second-class citizens in traditional societies. They are well aware that these ambitions cannot be obtained if they are still under threat from ISIS. Therefore, they armed themselves and occupied important positions in politics and social life. They have won the trust, admiration and respect of people not only in Kurdistan but worldwide. The fact is they are up in arms against the most reactionary, misogynist and sexist mind-set of the Islamic terror group ISIS. The reality is that their struggle is a universal one; they are fighting ISIS on behalf of all of us. Despite the threats from ISIS, Assad's regime and Turkey—who are allied with ISIS—people in Kobanê are determined to defeat ISIS. Kobanê and people in Rojava are our only hope in defeating a new form of Islamo-fasicm that our region has been infected by for a long time. Ever since Islam came to existence, the killing, rape, sex slavery and selling of women and exchanging them as well as capturing them as spoils of war has been a feature in this region. I would argue that there is no moderate Islam. There is one form of Islam using different masks and utilizing ancient and modern techniques to maintain power. It is about time ordinary Muslims question their religion, and start to think how many more centuries they should endure religious oppression. This same religion and its Sharia law has confined women and relegated them to an inferior position in family and society. One important and indeed glorious side of this struggle against political Islam is that it is women who are up in arms against its dictates. Kurdish female fighters are fighting on behalf of all women in the Middle East who have suffered for many centuries and continue to suffer under Islamic regimes and their Sharia laws. I would say it is about time that women in Middle East, North Africa and the world over to show their solidarity, support and share their struggle. Political Islam's genocide against women and men should be countered and fought against in Kobanê style. https://sellfy.com/MalcolmX https://sellfy.com/MalcolmX According to what we were taught from the white man’s textbooks in school, the Revolutionary War and the Civil War were two wars fought on American soil, supposedly for freedom and democracy. But if these two wars were really fought for freedom and human dignity of all men, why are 20 million of our people still confined and enslaved here in America by second-class citizenship? The truth is that the Revolutionary War was fought on American soil to free the American white man from the English white man. The Revolutionary War was never fought to provide freedom and democracy in this white country for the black man. Our people remained slaves here in America even after the Declaration of Independence was signed. In fact most of the white Founding Fathers who signed the Declaration of Independence were slave owners themselves. It is sheer ignorance, insanity, for our people to celebrate the Fourth of July as Independence Day, while white America denies us the first-class citizenship that goes with independence. And it is nothing but hypocrisy on the part of the American white man to pretend that the Revolutionary War was truly a war of independence as long as 20 million black people here in America are denied the privileges of an independent people. The Civil War was fought on this continent, but not to free the black slaves as is commonly taught in the white man’s schools. The Civil War was actually fought to preserve the Union, to keep the country intact, for white people. The American white man fought the Revolutionary War to get this country for himself. He then fought the Civil War to keep this country intact for himself, and today he will now fight a race war to keep from having to share this country on an equal basis with anyone else but himself. Especially on an equal basis with his 20 million former slaves. The black masses are crying out, “What have we to lose but our chains? What have we to lose but the hell that we experience every day living in these rat-filled slums that we’re relegated to?” The worst housing conditions in America always exist in the so-called Negro community. Yet the white liberals, who own these run down houses, force us to pay the highest rent. Faced with this high overhead, we are forced to take in roomers in order to help make up our rent. Our apartments are filled with both relatives and strangers. Our communities soon become overcrowded. These overcrowded conditions under which our people are forced to live eliminates all chances for a normal life, a clean life, or a healthy life. Because our children grow up in this overcrowded atmosphere, the lack of much needed privacy destroys their sense of shame. It lowers their moral standards and leaves them exposed to every form of indecency and vice imaginable. Our young girls, our daughters, our baby sisters become unwed mothers before they are hardly out of their teens. Our community has thousands of unmarried mothers, mothers who have no hope of ever getting a husband. And our community has tens of thousands of little babies who have no father to act as their provider or protector. In fact the only provider any of our children know is the white welfare agent or the white social worker. Many of our children actually mistake the welfare agent or the white social worker for their father. And ofttimes this is true. Our people in the Negro community are trapped in a vicious cycle of ignorance, poverty, disease, sickness, and death. There seems to be no way out. No way of escape. The wealthy, educated black bourgeoisie, those uppity Negroes who do escape, never reach back and pull the rest of our people out with them. The black masses remain trapped in the slums. And because there seems to be no hope or no other escape, we turn to wine, we turn to whiskey, and we turn to reefers, marijuana, and even to the dreadful needle—heroin, morphine, cocaine, opium—seeking an escape. Many of us turn to crime, stealing, gambling, prostitution. And some of us are used by the white overlords downtown to push dope in the Negro community among our own people. Unemployment and poverty have forced many of our people into a life of crime. But the real criminal is in the City Hall downtown, in the State House, and in the White House in Washington, DC. The real criminal is the white liberal, the political hypocrite. And it is these legal crooks who pose as our friends, force us into a life of crime, and then use us to spread the white man’s evil vices in our community among our own people. https://sellfy.com/MalcolmX

How to Succeed in the U.S. Military: Women's Army Corps Manners, Etiquette, Hair, Make-Up (1970) Women have been involved in the U.S. military since 1775, but more in the civilian fields of nursing, laundering and mending clothing, and cooking. In 1917 Loretta Walsh became the first woman to enlist. But it was not until 1948 that a law was finally passed that permanently made women a permanent part of the military services. In 1976, the first group of women was admitted into a U.S military academy. According to statistics only 15.6 percent of the U.S. Army's 1.1 million soldiers are female. Women serve in 95 percent of all army occupations. In a one-year span, some 40,000 American military women were deployed during the Gulf War operations Desert Shield and Desert Storm. But not one woman was able to take on any form of combat. In 1994 a policy prohibits women from being assigned to ground combat units below the brigade level. A study conducted by Matthews et al. 2009 to examine the attitudes of West Point cadets, Reserve Officer Training Corps (ROTC) cadets, and non-military-affiliated students from civilian colleges toward a variety of roles that women may serve in the military. The results showed that military cadets were less approving of women being assigned to certain military jobs than non-military students. New opportunities are starting to open up for female soldiers. Almost twenty years later, in 2013, an order was passed that allowed women the same opportunities as men in the combat arms. Female U.S Army soldiers are being asked to partake in a new training course. The training course was designed by Combined Joint Task Force Paladin, which is specifically designed for Female Engagement Team members. The course will help female soldiers in training such as training in unexploded ordnance awareness, biometrics, forensics, evidence collection, tactical questioning, vehicle and personnel searches, instructions on how homemade explosive devices are made and how to recognize if a device is homemade.[26] It is rumored that women may begin Army Ranger training by mid-2015. This change will open up hundreds of thousands front-line positions for women, some positions possibly even leading to elite commando jobs for women. This will end the policy of no women in units that are tasked with direct combat. Jobs opportunities will not be available all at once, but with each branch examining the new lift on the ban, jobs will be available as they see fit. The goal is 2016 for all assessments to be complete and have women fully integrated into all roles in the army.[27] In light of recent job opportunities opening up to females, a new movement has been created. The women of the army call it Sisters in Arms. This group was developed in hopes of helping the many female soldiers find their individual voice in the army. The program has spread throughout the Army worldwide.[23] On January 24, 2014, the US Army announced that 33,000 positions that were previously closed to women would integrate in the upcoming month of April,[28] though it still has yet to be determined if and when women may join the US Army's Special Operations community.[28] Some people think having women in a combat unit would hurt unit cohesion, because men could not trust them. There are worries about romantic or sexual relationships developing, potentially inappropriate fraternization, or that a woman might get pregnant to avoid combat. Some people are not willing to accept the risk of women being captured and tortured and possibly sexually assaulted, which happened to then-Major Rhonda Cornum.[29] Some argue that there is a shortage of male combat soldiers and that women should not be treated as second-class citizens in the military.[30] However, according to Lt. Col. Dave Grossman, author of On Killing: The Psychological Cost of Learning to Kill in War and Society, Israeli soldiers reacted with uncontrollable protectiveness and aggression after seeing a woman wounded. Grossman also notes that Islamic militants rarely, if ever, surrender to female soldiers, lessening the IDF's ability to interrogate prisoners. On the other hand, Iraqi and Afghan civilians are often not intimidated by female soldiers. However, in such environments, having female soldiers serving in a combat unit does have the advantage of allowing for searches on female civilians. Children and women are more likely to talk to female soldiers than to male soldiers.[31] A more insidious issue is the rape of women in the military by their own. Some have alleged that a woman in the military is three times more likely than a woman in the general population to be raped,[32] and in Iraq are more likely to be attacked by one of their own than an insurgent.[33] There is currently a lawsuit in the US military in which the plaintiffs claim to have been subjected to sexual

Press TV 2015-04-10Second-class citizen is an informal term used to describe a person who is systematically discriminated against within a state or other political jurisdiction, despite their nominal status as a citizen or legal resident there. While not necessarily slaves, outlaws or criminals, second-class citizens have limited legal rights, civil rights and economic opportunities, and are often subject to mistreatment or neglect at the hands of their putative superiors. Instead of being protected by the law, the law disregards a second-class citizen, or it may actually be used to harass them. (see police misconduct and racial profiling) Second-class citizenry is generally regarded as a violation of human rights. Typical impediments facing second-class citizens include, but are not limited to, disenfranchisement (a lack or loss of voting rights), limitations on civil or military service (not including conscription in every case), as well as restrictions on language, religion, education, freedom of movement and association, weapons ownership, marriage, gender identity and expression, housing and property ownership.

request every other day i try to avoid it and everything i say it just reminds me more and every other way i try to approach it it all ends up the same as the ones before and i don't want to know your name in the end its all the same just the other day i got a little nervous and i should have walked away instead i turned and ran thought i was brave but i must have been mistaken i think its safe to say i wont make that mistake again and i don't want to know your name in the end its all the same all i want is everything i don't think that's much to ask i'll pretend i'm listening cause all i want is everything you have to call your own it might sound crazy but can you blame me looks like there's no one home this is my last chance don't make me have to ask all i want is everything i don't think that's much to ask i'll pretend i'm listening cause all i want is everything you have
sometimes when you're around i can't remember what day it is and sometimes when i see you smile my knees start to quiver and they almost give and i don't think you know if you did it would never show and i stumble on my words when i'm around you you don't know all the things that you put me through sometimes i feel i could look at you for hours til i fall asleep and sometimes when i feel strong you have the power to make me weak and my biggest fear is that you're a dream someday i'll wake up and i stumble on my words when i'm around you you don't know all the things that you put me through sometimes you are all i see sometimes you are all i need i stumble on my words when i'm around you
so i hear that you've been asking your friends about me hoping they'll tell you i am bitter now well don't flatter yourself cause you were never worth it and i just want to know do you find i hard to sleep at night does it make you pull your hair wondering if you were wrong or right knowing i don't fucking care just the other day i saw you at the mall with your new boyfriend he didn't look like much to me you didn't look to happy hanging on to his arm like some little girl do you find i hard to sleep at night does it make you pull your hair wondering if you were wrong or right knowing i don't fucking care so i've learned not to dwell on yesterday so i've learned no to dwell on yesterday now you find it hard to sleep at night and you pull out all your hair knowing you were wrong and i was right and i still don't fucking care
And after all this time I still remember, and you're always on my mind but I cant stay here Cause so long, I've been waiting for so long For everyone to stop and just leave me alone Somehow all the things I am is everything you fear And I cant be the one to say those words you want to hear And the lessons that I've learned, I take them with me, and the bridges that I've burned are some of my best memories and so long, I've been waiting for so long For everyone to stop and just leave me alone Somehow all the things I am is everything you fear And I cant be the one to say those words you want to hear Tell me why, tell me why cant you see Close your eyes there is no one here but me, let go, let go and I wont... so long, I've been waiting for so long For everyone to stop and just leave me alone Somehow all the things I am is everything you fear And I cant be the one to say those words you want to hear Tell me why, tell me why cant you see Close your eyes there is no one here but me, let go, let go and I wont...
There's gotta be more to life than this, sitting at home with my best friend Praying you'll still want me in two weeks time Watching the phone when I'm at home, thinking of you when I'm alone Counting down the days until you're mine I'm all alone, wish you were here Lying awake now in my room, thinking about who's with you Do I cross your mind when you go out at night Staying faithful to the words that we said that night I'm so scared now that it may not turn out right Double standards and all that's in between, keep me hangin, hangin on by a string i'm sure you're out with all your friends, hitting the same old scene again will you be here or there in two weeks time I'm all alone, wish you were here Lying awake now in my room, thinking about who's with you Do I cross your mind when you go out at night Staying faithful to the words that we said that night I'm so scared now that it may not turn out right In two weeks time will I cross your mind, in two weeks time will you be mine In two weeks time will the words you said still ring inside your head I'm all alone, wish you were here Lying awake now in my room, thinking about who's with you Do I cross your mind when you go out at night Staying faithful to the words that we said that night I'm so scared now that it may not turn out right

another day another opportunity for her to associate herself with someone else no one particular just someone new that she can use for a while then put back on the shelf here we go again i'm getting closer to getting over but this time she says it will be different i'm getting closer to getting over but this time she says it will be different for her and when the next best thing has all been but exploited then she'll find her way back to that shelf looking for something that can fill this temporary void at least until she's temporarily ok here we go again i'm getting closer to getting over but this time she says it will be different i'm getting closer to getting over but this time she says it will be different for her i'm finding out without a doubt that its quality not quantity and i'd rather be all alone i'm getting closer to getting over but this time she says it will be different i'm getting closer to getting over but this time she says it will be different for her
