The Fist of God

The Fist of God is a 1994 suspense novel by British writer Frederick Forsyth.

Featuring a story set during the Persian Gulf War, the novel details an Allied effort to find a suspected Iraqi nuclear weapon. The story features the brothers Mike and Terry Martin who also appear in Forsyth's 2006 novel The Afghan.

Plot

Dr. Gerald Bull designs a supergun codenamed Project Babylon for Iraq. He believes that it is for launching Arab satellites into space and that it could serve no military purpose because it could fire only once before being located, targeted and destroyed. He comes to discover the true reason only shortly before being assassinated by Israeli agents.

Iraq then invades Kuwait and the British and Americans need top level intelligence on the ground. Major Mike Martin of the Special Air Service is seconded to SIS to work with the Kuwaiti resistance. Not only does Major Martin speak fluent Arabic, but with his black hair and dark complexion, he can actually pass for an Arab. His brother, Terry, an expert in Arab military studies, works with the Medusa Committee, a joint Anglo-American panel on possible Iraqi weapons of mass destruction.

Martyr

A martyr (Greek: μάρτυς, mártys, "witness"; stem μάρτυρ-, mártyr-) is somebody who suffers persecution and/or death for advocating, renouncing, refusing to renounce, and/or refusing to advocate a belief or cause as demanded by an external party. This refusal to comply with the presented demands results in the punishment or execution of the martyr by the oppressor. Originally applied only to those who suffered for their religious beliefs, it is now often used for people imprisoned or executed for espousing a political cause.

Most martyrs are considered holy or are respected by their followers, becoming symbols of exceptional leadership and heroism in the face of difficult circumstances. Martyrs play significant roles in religions. Similarly, martyrs have had notable effects in secular life, including specific figures such as Socrates, as well as in politics and Chinese culture.

Meaning

In its original meaning, the word martyr, meaning witness, was used in the secular sphere as well as in the New Testament of the Bible. The process of bearing witness was not intended to lead to the death of the witness, although it is known from ancient writers (e.g. Josephus) and from the New Testament that witnesses often died for their testimonies.

Grand Masti

Grand Masti also referred to as Masti 2 is a Bollywood adult comedy film directed by Indra Kumar and produced by Ashok Thakeria. The film is a sequel to the 2004 film Masti, and the second installment of Masti film series. It features Riteish Deshmukh, Vivek Oberoi and Aftab Shivdasani reprising their roles from the original, yet the film does not continue and is a new installment. The film also starred Bruna Abdullah, Karishma Tanna, Sonalee Kulkarni, Kainaat Arora, Maryam Zakaria and Manjari Fadnis.Grand Masti released on 13 September 2013. The film received largely negative responses from critics, but was received well at the box office. Grand Masti is the highest grossing Bollywood film with an A (Adults Only) certificate in India, subsequently entering Bollywood's 100 crore club in India. The film was declared a Super Hit in India by Box Office India.

Plot

Three friends – Meet (Vivek Oberoi), Prem (Aftab Shivdasani) and Amar (Ritesh Deshmukh) – are married and don't like their wives. Meet thinks his wife Unatti (Karishma Tanna) is having an affair with her boss, Prem doesn't like it when his wife Tulsi (Manjari Fadnis) doesn't spend quality time with him and Amar hates his marital life because his wife Mamta (Sonalee Kulkarni) is more concerned about their son, Pappu.

Great Grand Masti

Great Grand Masti also referred to as Masti 3 is an upcoming Bollywood adult comedy film directed by Indra Kumar and produced by Ashok Thakeria. It features Riteish Deshmukh, Vivek Oberoi Aftab Shivdasani and Urvashi Rautela in leading roles, yet the film does not continue and is a new installment. The film also stars Mishti, Sonal Chauhan, Pooja Chopra as wives.

Hillary Clinton

Hillary Diane Rodham Clinton (born October 26, 1947) is an American politician and former United States Senator from New York from 2001 to 2009. She co-founded Arkansas Advocates for Children and Families in 1977, became the first female chair of the Legal Services Corporation in 1978, and was named the first female partner at Rose Law Firm in 1979. While First Lady of Arkansas from 1979 to 1981, and 1983 to 1992, she led a task force that reformed Arkansas' public school system, and served on the board of directors of Wal-Mart among other corporations.
