Justin Trudeau on Nationalism
JUSTIN TRUDEAU is ANTI-NATIONAL. He is therefore ANTI-CANADA.
Justin says his father's "thought" "evolved" away from "nationalism". It did not "evolve", Pierre Trudeau was ALWAYS anti-national, he was a Communist. He wrote about his anti-nationalism in his pro-Soviet magazine CITE LIBRE as early as April 1962. Read the exclusive English translation: https://nosnowinmoscow.wordpress.com/2013/04/1

Greenpeace activist Priya Pillai was offloaded from her flight to London as her proposed "testimony" before a British parliamentary committee would have been "prejudicial" to India's interests, the Centre has told Delhi High Court. The Centre also said her meeting with the committee would have had a "global cascading effect" which would create a "false image" of the country's "massive" efforts to protect tribals' rights that would only serve the "foreign policy interest of a foreign nation." In its affidavit, the ministry has also said that creation of a "false image" of India's efforts to protect tribal rights could also impact investment by foreignbusinesses in India. The ministry has also said that "in-person testimony of local activists" are used by some foreign nations to "add credibility" to their reports which are used as "instruments of control" to further their "core objective" of "foreign policy masked in the cloak of protecting civil rights". Such "tools" are "heavily biased" against "targetedcountries" as unlike in the United Nations, no opportunity isprovided to the "targeted" nation's local Embassy or HighCommission to record their opinion, the ministry said. The ministry also said the Look Out Circular was not issued to limit all of Pillai's freedom but "was focused only on the proposed activity of her deposing before a foreign parliament". Pillai, who was on January 11 offloaded from a flight to London at the IGI airport in New Delhi, has moved the court seeking permission again to visit the British capital to make a presentation before British MPs on alleged human rights violation at Mahan in Madhya Pradesh. On the last date of hearing, February 6, the court had expressed concern over Pillai not being allowed to visit London and said the government has to draw a line Between "nationalism and jingoism". 37-year-old Pillai in her petition has said that she has challenged her "offloading" and the 'Look Out Circular' issued on her, which had resulted in the stamping of "offload" on her passport by immigration officials.

Read the exclusive English translation: https://nosnowinmoscow.wordpress.com/2013/04/15/the-new-treason-of-the-clerics-pierre-elliott-trudeau/comment-page-1/
Furthermore, the book under discussion in this video snip of Justin is titled "CITIZEN OF THE WORLD" "The Life of Pierre Elliott Trudeau":
http://www.amazon.ca/Citizen-World-Elliott-Trudeau-1919-1968/dp/0676975224
THAT is the meaning of the anti-nationalism of BOTH Pierre and his chip-off-the-old-Red-bloc, JUSTIN, who is equally anti-national and GLOBALIST. Which begs the question, is he, like his father, also COMMUNIST.

The LSE European Institute (@LSEEI) was established in 1991 as a dedicated centre for the interdisciplinary study of processes of integration and fragmentation within Europe. The dust kicked up by the hostile reception to the Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) ministers in North America is refusing to die down. This is primarily because the SAD refuses to accept the writing on the wall - that the anti-incumbency in Punjab is manifesting itself in a much stronger way abroad. Deputy CM and SAD President, Sukhbir Singh Badal, said that these "sporadic incidents" were caused by "anti-India and anti-Punjab" persons. He also said that the opposition from people holding pro-Khalistan flags does not matter. Another Akali leader said that this was the handiwork of the radical elements abroad. Yet, another SAD leader from Delhi hinted at inquiries against those who had sought political asylum in foreign lands. In presuming all this, the SAD leaders are only further isolating themselves from the harsh reality.
The harsh reality is that those opposing the Akalis are not just radicals and separatists who moved out during the militancy period. There is no doubt that many of them sought political asylum but the fact of the matter is that for many of them this was an easy route to seeking economic betterment. Many of the Punjabis overseas opposing the Akalis are the vast majority of those who were forced by circumstances to migrate abroad. Many of them carry bitter memories of joblessness here and this feeling of alienation has been strengthened by the dismal state of things that they see during their visits. Continuing unemployment, power cuts, pollution, sorry state of education and health, road accidents, rampant corruption, nepotism, police highhandedness in dealing with agitators are things that bother them. They compare things in Punjab with their new abodes. Since they are exposed to democratic traditions abroad, they are also aghast at government's insensitivity to issues of human rights. They also rue SAD's action of "inactivity" in pursuing cases against the perpetrators of 1984 anti-Sikh violence, besides many other things. Sukhbir Singh Badal should know that it is these things that make people abroad oppose him and his ilk. Many of us even in India share this feeling. If all this makes them and us all anti-national, it is better to be anti-national than to be a nationalist like Sukhbir.

The University of Oslo and the Norwegian Institute of International Affairs, NUPI, have the pleasure of inviting you to a seminar with Professor Emil Pain:
Russia’s imperial legacy and its impact on Russian nationalism: the Phenomenon of ‘Imperial Nationalism’
What is the impact of Russia's imperial legacy on the development of Russian nationalism? And what are the current political perspectives of Russian nationalism?
Professor Pain argues that a combination of imperial consciousness and Russian nationalism has stimulated the emergence a peculiar form of ‘imperial nationalism’ in Russia. In the lecture, he will explore the history and current standing of this strand of nationalism, as well as the emergence of a new, anti-imperial nationalism in the early 2000s, and discuss current trends and perspectives within this field.
Emil Pain is the Director of the Centre for Ethno-Political and Regional Studies, Moscow, and Professors at the National Research University – Higher School of Economics, Moscow, and is considered one of Russia’s leading experts on ethno-political processes, nationality policy and ethnic conflict.
Chair: Professor Pål Kolstø , University of Oslo.
The seminar is part of the ‘New Russian Nationalism’ seminar series, a series of quarterly presentations on various aspects of Russian nationalism, and part of the research project ‘‘Nation-building, nationalism and the new “other” in today’s Russia’, day’s Russia’, a joint project between NUPI and the University of Oslo funded by the Research Council of Norway under the NORRUSS programme.

Background
Animosity towards African students has been a recurring event since the early 1960s, when scholarships provided by the Chinese government allowed many students from 'China-friendly' African countries to study in Beijing. Background
Animosity towards African students has been a recurring event since the early 1960s, when scholarships provided by the Chinese government allowed many students from 'China-friendly' African countries to study in Beijing. This policy was originally based on the idea of 'third world solidarity' and Mao Zedong's linking of the fight against 'western imperialism' with Marxist class war. Many of these African students were given larger educational grants than native Chinese students, and hostility towards the Africans was a regular occurrence. Most of these students returned to their home countries before reaching the end of their courses due to poor living conditions and the political uncertainties of the Mao era. From the mid-1970s, China allowed African students to study outside of Beijing.
As well as resentment about the larger stipends given to African students, hostility from Chinese students towards Africans also flared up when there was contact between African men and Chinese women. In an incident in Shanghai in 1979, African students were attacked after playing loud music and making sexual remarks to Chinese women. These clashes became more common during the 1980s and sometimes led to arrests and deportations of African students. Cultural differences in dating habits added to the tensions.
Anti-African Nanjing protests of 1988
On December 24, 1988 two male African students were entering their campus at Hohai University in Nanjing with two Chinese women. The occasion was a Christmas Eve party. A quarrel between one of the Africans and a Chinese security guard, who had suspected that the women the African students tried to bring into the campus were prostitutes and refused their entry, led to a brawl between the African and Chinese students on the campus which lasted till the morning, leaving 13 students injured.
300 Chinese students, spurred by false rumors that a Chinese man had been killed by the Africans, broke into and set about destroying the Africans' dormitories, shouting slogans. Part of the destruction involved setting fire to the Africans' dormitory and locking them in. The President of the University had to order the fire department to take action.
After the police had dispersed the Chinese students, many Africans fled to the railway station in order to gain safety at various African embassies in Beijing. The authorities prevented the Africans from boarding the trains so as to question those involved in the brawl. Soon their numbers increased to 140, as other African and non-African foreign students, fearing violence or simply by sympathy, arrived at the first-class waiting room at the station asking to be allowed to go to Beijing.
By this time, Chinese students from HoHai University had joined up with students from other Nanjing universities to make up a 3000-strong demonstration that called on government officials to prosecute the African students and reform the system which gave foreigners more rights than the Chinese. On the evening of December 26, the marchers converged on the railway station while holding banners calling for human rights and political reform. Chinese police managed to isolate the non-Chinese students from the marchers and moved them by force to a military guest house in Yizheng outside Nanjing. The protests were declared illegal, and riot police were brought in from surrounding provinces to pacify the demonstrators, which took several more days.
The African students and their sympathizers were removed from Yizheng to another military guesthouse closer to Nanjing on New Year's Eve, and were returned to their universities the following day.
Aftermath
In January, three of the African students were deported for starting the brawl. The other students returned to Hohai University and were required to follow new regulations, including a night-time curfew, having to report to university authorities before leaving the campus, and having no more than one Chinese girlfriend whose visits would be limited to the lounge area. Guests were still required to be registered.
Anti-African demonstrations spread to other cities, including Shanghai and Beijing.[1] These were smaller than the Nanjing protests, though the Beijing protests were one of the currents that led to the Tiananmen Square protests of 1989.

Andrew Brons was one of the two representatives that were elected to The European Parliament for the British National Party. However most of the limelight was taken by his BNP colleague - Nick Griffin. Nevertheless, Brons's intellect and his record for integrity, honesty, fairness and constancy, together with his unswerving firm ideological stance have meant that he is a Nationalist leader that is almost universally respected - even by our ideological opponents. Aged now 68, he first became involved in politics in 1964 aged 17, went onto become a National Front directorate member in 1974, National Front chairman in the 1980's, and was elected to the European Parliament on the BNP ticket in 2009. He is currently President of The British Democratic Party.

Timothy Colton gives an informative lecture on Nationalism in Russia, explaining the historical background of nationalism and identity of the Russians and how it is different from the Soviet Union times.
He also shares there are roughly three strains of Russian Nationalism, mainly the "Standard Fare, Small Russia", "Big Russia" and "Ethnic Russian, Narrow Russia", and with that he uses Boris Yeltsin (1st Russian President) and Vladimir Putin (current President) to further explains on the strains, and how it affects Russia, and the Putin Regime. Colton also shares on Putin's "Patriotism and Nationalism", names of a few Nationalist Entrepreneurs, and some of the events that reflects opinions of Russians.
Finally, Colton concludes that Nationalism politics in Russia is very complex, and is mostly a mixture and combination of three kinds of politics genre, namely "Pro-system", "Within-system", and "anti-system". He also provides examples to each genre to further explain this.

Pieter Friedrich, South Asian affairs analyst, presents at the OFMI seminar of Religous Persecution in India.
Sikh and Christian leaders hosted a seminar on October 10th at Trinity Anglican, a Christian Church in Marysville, CA to discuss similar persecution facing both communities in India.
Laws restricting religious freedom and the persecution of Christians in India drew national headlines recently as Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited California’s Silicon Valley.
Many stateside Christians and Sikhs protested Modi’s visit based on his anti-conversion legislation that criminalizes religious conversion without government permission. Dissenters protest the laws target non-Hindus and encourage mass “re-conversion” ceremonies known as “Ghar Wapsi” (homecoming), which intimidate individuals into converting to Hinduism under threat of physical violence or the loss of government benefits.
