Michael Anthony Orlando Cassavitis (born April 3, 1944), better known as Tony Orlando, is an American show business professional, best known as the lead singer of the group Tony Orlando and Dawn in the early 1970s.
Discovered by producer Don Kirshner, Orlando had songs on the charts in 1961 when he was 16, "Halfway to Paradise" and "Bless You". Orlando then became a producer himself, and at an early age was promoted to a vice-president position at CBS Records, where he was in charge of the April-Blackwood Music division. He sang under the name "Dawn" in the 1970s, and when the songs became hits, he went on tour and the group became "Tony Orlando and Dawn". They had several songs which were major hits including "Candida", "Knock Three Times", and "Tie a Yellow Ribbon Round the Ole Oak Tree". The group hosted a variety program, "The Tony Orlando and Dawn Show" on CBS from 1974–76, and then broke up in 1978.
Orlando then continued as a solo singer, performing in Las Vegas and Branson, Missouri. Orlando has hosted the New York City portions of the MDA Labor Day Telethon on WWOR-TV since the 1980s but quit in 2011 in response to Jerry Lewis' firing from the Muscular Dystrophy Association.
Tony Orlando and Dawn was an American pop music group that was popular in the 1970s. Their signature hits include "Candida", "Knock Three Times", "Tie a Yellow Ribbon Round the Ole Oak Tree", and "He Don't Love You (Like I Love You)".
Tony Orlando was born Michael Anthony Orlando Cassavitis on 3 April 1944. After almost a decade of singing and with only three Top 40 hits, two in 1961 and another in 1969 as the lead singer for the studio group Wind, he had not had any further successes. He stopped singing entirely, and by 1970 he was a retired demo singer. He began publishing music for April-Blackwood Music, a division of Columbia Records, instead.
Then Orlando received "Candida," a song that other producers and singers had turned down. Orlando was not able to originally lend his name to the song, as he was working for April-Blackwood, and recording under his own name would be a professional conflict of interest. After an insistence by producer Hank Medress that he dub his voice over the male vocals on the original track, the single was released on Bell Records as being performed by the band "Dawn", to protect his position.
Nutshell were a British Christian musical group, active from the early 1970s up to 1981.
The band were originally called 'Jesus Revolution', and the members were Paul Field, Heather Barlow and Pam Thiele (née May). They had changed the name by the time of their first release, In Your Eyes (1976). The following year they released their second LP, Flyaway (1977).
After the second LP had been released Barlow and Thiele left the group, and Field began with two new female vocalists, Annie McCaig and Mo McCafferty. They released two further LPs, Begin Again (1978) and Believe it or Not (1979). After the release of Believe it or Not, the band changed its name to Network 3 and released two singles, "Last Train Home" (1980) and "Dangerous Game" (1981), both of which were produced by Cliff Richard and featured his backing vocals.
The band broke up after this, and a Best of Nutshell LP was released in 1981.
Whilst Barlow and Thiele left the music business, Field built up a successful career as a solo singer, songwriter and producer. McCaig and McCafferty also remained in the music business, providing backing vocals for numerous artists.
In Your Eyes is the first solo EP released by singer/songwriter Gary Hughes from Melodic Hard rock band Ten. Gary Hughes' third solo album Precious Ones, is the album from which the EP is derived from. The compact disc was officially released only in Asian markets.
All songs written and arranged by Gary Hughes.

Ciara (Claudine Barretto) is a senior physical therapist who works for a rehabilitation center in the United States. She has devoted her entire life to her younger sister Julia (Anne Curtis) who was left in her care after the untimely demise of their parents.
After 8 years of separation, Ciara and Julia reunite when the latter acquires her student visa. Storm (Richard Gutierrez), Julia's boyfriend who earns a living as a freelance photographer, joins Julia despite the lack of a definite plan.
In a desperate move for Storm to gain immigrant status, Julia asks Storm to enter into an arranged marriage with Ciara, who is already an American citizen. As Storm struggles to find his place in a foreign land, Julia works hard to chase after her own dream of finishing school, causing the two of them to drift apart.
Meanwhile, time spent together led to an unexpected love affair between Ciara and Storm. When Julia learns about this, Ciara decides to break up with Storm and give up her happiness, like she did so many times before.
"Love in Your Eyes" is a song by American rock singer Eddie Money, from his album Nothing to Lose in 1988 (see 1988 in music). It was released as a single and reached number 24 on the Billboard Hot 100 and number one on Billboard's Album Rock Tracks chart. The song was written by Adrian Gurvitz, David Paul Bryant, and Steve Dubin.
"The Love in Your Eyes" is a song by American musician-singer-songwriter Dan Hartman, released as a single in 1994 from his posthumous album Keep The Fire Burnin'.
One of Hartman's final compositions, "The Love in Your Eyes" was written and produced by Hartman. Following the release of his 1989 instrumental album New Green Clear Blue, Hartman turned once again to producing and writing, mainly for others. By 1993, Hartman began to record a new album of contemporary pop and dance music. While in the studio during 1993, he noted that "So many things have changed in terms of social and political issues, as well as the need for love and personal relationships. All of these things are the reasons why writing and recording new material is most meaningful to me." In the end, a total of two songs were completed; "Keep the Fire Burnin'" and "The Love in Your Eyes". The single was released posthumously after Hartman's death on March 22, 1994, from an AIDS-related brain tumor. Released in America and Europe, the single was not a commercial success and failed to make any chartings. It was Hartman's final single of his career, and succeeded "Keep the Fire Burnin'", which was the lead single from the same-titled album. The Keep the Fire Burnin' album largely featured remixes of Hartman's previous hits.

(chorus)
twas your eyes that confuse me
was your eyes that use me
i miss your very eyes
i miss your smooth white lies
pass me a cigarette
maybe i can't forget...
(chorus)
give me another drink
that honey i can sink
all of these memories
that i can't get out of mind
(chorus)
you won't have to look far
i'm in the nearest bar
i feel so very concerned
i'm feeling so very old
without
(chorus)
