The Universe is all of spacetime and everything that exists therein, including all planets, stars, galaxies, the contents of intergalactic space, the smallest subatomic particles, and all matter and energy.[1][2][3][4][5][6] Similar terms include the cosmos, the world, reality, and nature.
The estimated diameter of the observable universe is about 93 billion light years or 28 billion parsecs.[7] Scientific observation of the Universe has led to inferences of its earlier stages, which appear to have been governed by the same physical laws and constants throughout most of its extent and history. The Big Bang theory is the prevailing cosmological model that describes the early development of the Universe, which is estimated to have begun 13.798 ± 0.037 billion years ago.[8][9]
Scientists remain unsure about what, if anything, preceded the Big Bang. Many refuse to speculate, doubting that any information from any such prior state could ever be accessible.[citation needed] There are various multiverse hypotheses, in which some physicists have suggested that the Universe might be one among many, or even an infinite number, of universes that likewise exist.[10][11]
The universe is composed of 4.9 percent atomic matter, 26.6 percent dark matter and 68.5 percent dark energy[12] Observations of supernovae have shown that the Universe is expanding at an accelerating rate.[13] There are several competing theories about the ultimate fate of the universe.

The year 2015 marks an important milestone in the history of physics: the 100th anniversary of Albert Einstein’s General Theory of Relativity (published November 25, 1915), which redefined human understanding of space, time, and gravity. The Einstein Centenary is being celebrated as the International Year of Light 2015, and to help build public understanding of relativity and its impact on our lives, astrophysicist/educator Dr. Jeffrey Bennett has embarked on a yearlong “relativity tour.” The tour formally opened with three sold-out shows at Fiske Planetarium in Boulder. This video shows Dr. Bennett's presentation at Fiske from March 6, 2015.
Discussing the goals of his tour, Dr. Bennett says, “Most people assume that Einstein’s theory of relativity is beyond their comprehension, so they find it empowering to realize that it’s actually based upon simple ideas that anyone can understand. Moreover, the ideas of relativity change the way we view ourselves as human beings in a vast universe, so learning these ideas opens your mind in new and unexpected ways. I’ve chosen to embark on the tour during this 100th anniversary of general relativity, because I believe it’s time to take Einstein’s ideas out of the realm of obscure science and into the realm of general public consciousness.”
Dr. Bennett’s tour presentations are based on his book What is Relativity? An Intuitive Introduction to Einstein’s Ideas and Why They Matter (Columbia University Press, 2014).
If you would like to book Dr. Bennett for a “relativity tour” event (e.g., at your college, science museum, or theater), please contact him directly; see the links at http://www.bigkidscience.com/relativity-tour/.
The tour is sponsored by Big Kid Science, Columbia University Press, Fiske Planetarium, and Story Time From Space.

110 years ago Albert Einstein published a theory that revolutionized the way we think about the universe. In this video I'll show you how to prove its two postulates using easy-to-understand real-world experiments, and how even the simplest understanding of quantum mechanics can be used to wrap your mind around why time must slow down the faster an object moves.
I wrote, filmed, edited, and created the visual effects and motion graphics for this video.

The Road to General Relativity Nov 4th, 1915
In 1915 Albert Einstein revealed in his general theory of relativity that gravity is not a force so much as the by-product of a curving universe. In other words, what we think we know about gravity from everyday experience is wrong.

Theory of relativity
The theory of relativity, or simply relativity in physics, usually encompasses two theories by Albert Einstein: special relativity and general relativity.
Concepts introduced by the theories of relativity include:
Measurements of various quantities are relative to the velocities of observers. In particular, space contracts and time dilates.
Spacetime: space and time should be considered together a

Special relativity explained in under three minutes
In November 1915, Albert Einstein completed his general theory of relativity and transformed the world of physics. This theory took Einstein’s earlier theory of special relativity, which applied only to objects in a constant state of motion, and generalized it to account for acceleration (hence the name general theory of relativity).

Why Albert Einstein's General Relativity Changed the World
Nearly 100 years after Albert Einstein presented the final version of general relativity to the Prussian Academy on November 25, 1915, his name remains synonymous with genius, and his face is still recognized worldwide. Einstein’s discovery of the photoelectric effect, which earned him the Nobel Prize in physics in 1921, provided proof of the existence of the atom and laid the foundations for wha

In addition to learning all about Einstein's important contributions to science, from proving the existence and size of atoms and launching the field of quantum mechanics to creating models of the universe that led to the discovery of black holes and the big bang theory, young physicists will participate in activities and thought experiments to bring his theories and ideas to life. Such activities include using dominoes to model a nuclear chain reaction, replicating the expanding universe in a microwave oven, creating blue skies and red sunsets in a soda bottle, and calculating the speed of light using a melted chocolate bar. Suggestions for further study, a time line, and sidebars on the work of other physicists of the day make this an incredibly accessible resource for inquisitive ch

Best known for his general theory of relativity and the famous equation linking mass and energy, E = mc DEGREES2, Albert Einstein had a lasting impact on the world of science, the extent of which is illuminated--along with his fascinating life and unique personality--in this lively history.

Relativity Max reactive coverstock is Brunswick's next progression in our performance enhancing coverstock technology. Relativity Max coverstock provides strong hook with maximum versatility on a variety of oil patterns for all types of physical styles. This new formulation produces outstanding usability.
The new Melee Low RG symmetrical core features a curvilinear design to provide maximum energy retention. The new core shape revs quicker producing maximum performance and drilling versatility.
With its 2000 grit Siaair Micro Pad Finish, the Melee Hook revs strong in the mid-lane and retains plenty of axis rotation for the backend to produce a wider area of forgiveness to the pocket. The Melee Hook will provide better traction on a variety of lane patterns with its chemically designed surface texture.
Core Type: Melee Low RG Symmetric
Coverstock: Relativity Max Reactive
Color: Midnight Blue Solid
Finishing Steps: 500, 2,000 Siaair Micro Pad
Weights: 12-16 Pounds
RG Max: 2.537, RG Min: 2.487, RG Differential: .050
The Melee Hook can be drilled using the standard drilling techniques developed for symmetric core bowling balls.
At Brunswick, the unique core shape of each individual ball is used for weights from 14 to 16 pounds. This approach to lightweight ball engineering provides bowlers with consistent ball reaction characteristics across this weight range. At 12 and 13 pounds, Brunswick uses a generic core shape with a RG-differential that is close enough to the 14 to 16 pound shape so the same drilling instructions can be used.

Starting with the same equation einstein did, I use only proven equations to determine tine dilation on a rotating body. Einstein used the same equation I did then supposed that the speed of light is constant which was a false supposition. We know that light travels different speeds through every medium which einstein didn't know.
Anyway I use proven physics to determine time dilation is 1/omega (angular velocity) on a rotating body. The proof for this is atomic clocks at any altitude on earth will not experience relative time dilation; ie: they will all keep time perfectly relative to each-other. The only difference would arise if clocks were on airplanes or satellites that had different angular velocities than the earth.

Spacetime: space and time should be considered together and in relation to each other.

Nearly 100 years after Albert Einstein presented the final version of general relativity to the Prussian Academy on November 25, 1915, his name remains synonymous with genius, and his face is still recognized worldwide. Einstein’s discovery of the photoelectric effect, which earned him the Nobel Prize in physics in 1921, provided proof of the existence of the atom and laid the foundations for what would become the field of quantum mechanics. And Einstein’s founding paper on relativity, the special theory of relativity, transformed our understanding of the nature of space and time.

For many people, Einstein’s General Theory of Relativity lies hidden behind an impenetrable wall of complicated mathematics, superposed upon the widespread misconception that only those smarter than the average bear, with a penchant for doing long sums, can possibly understand it. However, the truth differs widely from the syllabus. Although mathematics is unnecessary for an understanding as to why cosmology is both logically inconsistent and disconnected from reality, cosmologists routinely resort to mathematical mysticism in their attempts to justify and impose their demonstrably false dogmatic beliefs. In his presentation, Stephen Crothers shall reveal the sacred secrets of tensor calculus and its accoutrements in order to see through the mathematical smoke and mirrors of Einstein and his followers. Anybody with high-school knowledge of the calculus is more than well prepared to deal with these matters. Perhaps this is the most frightening truth cosmologists must face. After all, calculations themselves are mere mechanical operations that impart no knowledge of their purpose in relation to physics. Curiously, neither Einstein knew nor his followers know how to do their sums right. That they don’t add up is sufficient to render them a form of numerology, which, like sympathetic magic and phrenology, does not lead to knowledge.
Steve Crothers is a preeminent mathematician, counted among the most competent critics of modern cosmology (including both the General Theory of Relativity and popular theory of the Big Bang). He has also gained much attention for his systematic unraveling of standard Black Hole theory, showing that the mathematical model of a Black Hole follows neither from observation nor from any logical reasoning from Einstein’s General Theory of Relativity.
