He blended reggae and funk influences with topical commentary and displayed a terse, though fluid rap style that was sometimes satirical, sometimes tough, and sometimes silly. Redman returned in 1994 with his second album, Dare Iz a Darkside, which was a harder album than his debut. Muddy Waters, Redman's third album, followed in 1996; he returned two years later with Doc's da Name. The 1999 album Blackout! was a collaboration with Method Man while 2001's Malpractice was another solo effort. Soundtrack appearances, acting (most notably a starring role in the film How High), and collaborations (including an appearance on Christina Aguilera's hit single "Dirrty") kept Redman away from his solo career until 2007, when Red Gone Wild arrived. ‌‌ Bohemia After Dark is a channel for music lovers that remember the alternative, grunge and hip hop music from the late 80’s and early 90’s. In 1992 they began airing on KPDX Portland and then they move to KWBP in 1994. In 1995 they began airing on 22 Network One affiliates. In 1997 Network One shut down and the service moved to KOIN and in 2001, the service moved back to Phoenix, airing on KASW, then in 2002, moved to KPHO-TV. In 2003 they got their own station, KPHE-LP, at the time broadcasting on channel 19 in Mesa, Arizona, and changed their name to Bohemia Visual Music. KPHE moved to channel 44 in Phoenix in 2005.[2] Bohemia Visual Music changed their name to 24-7 Videos for a few months from mid-2005 to early-2006, then reverted to Bohemia Visual Music. http://www.vladtv.com - Redman has worked with many acts like Eric Sermon, Christina Aguilera and Kool Moe Dee, but in this VladTV exclusive, the rapper speaks on his records with the late Tupac Shakur and how he got in the booth with Shaquille O'Neal. Tupac's "Got My Mind Made Up," from the All Eyez On Me album was originally a Das EFX record, but the rapper's return from jail changed the lineup. Instead, the track was sent to Pac attached with verses from Redman, Method Man, Daz Dillinger and Kurupt. Because of the changes in the track, Redman says he never got to work with the rapper directly, but there was no hard feelings. Since Red and the other east coast acts represented themselves well on the record, there wasn't an internal 'east coast v. west coast' battle on the song. During his worldwide touring days with Eric Sermon, the rapper speaks on living from couch to couch at the age of 20. He explains how different the grind was from the 90's to now, and says many acts from the time dealt with homelessness before making it big. Redman also gives props to fellow New Jersey native Shaquille O'Neal for his ability to sell rap records and play basketball. The rapper says Shaq went the underground route when it came to his music career. Taking the now NBA analyst under his wing, Shaq was able to achieve gold and platinum status. http://www.vladtv.com - Last year Ja Rule spoke to VladTV about an epic battle that he had with Redman back in the day, but the "Da Rockwilder" rapper told VladTV correspondent Leyla Stacked that he doesn't remember the incident. After admitting that he watched the clip, Redman said, "Damn Ja, I don't remember that. I don't even think you remember that." The Newark native then shared stories of other battles that he remembers going down, including a scene at a jail where Redman claims he had to battle a whole line of guys that were waiting on him. However, the craziest battle story came about when Redman and Method Man took on 30 guys in Oakland at an in-store event, which took about 2 hours. We also got Redman's thoughts on battle rap today and if he would ever battle, which you can hear about in the above clip.

He was also a member of the Def Squad in the late 1990s. In 1990, Reginald "Reggie" Noble made his world debut on the EPMD album Business as Usual, appearing on tracks "Hardcore" and "Brothers On My Jock". In 1997 Redman was featured on Platinum Producer Frankie Cutlass Solo Gold Album title "Politic's & Bullshit". Whut? Thee Album & Dare Iz a Darkside (1990–95) In 1992 Redman released his debut album, Whut? Thee Album, which Allmusic noted for blending "reggae and funk influences" with a "terse, though fluid rap style".[1] The album peaked at number forty-nine on the Billboard 200 and was certified gold. He was named "Rap Artist of the Year" by The Source. Redman followed this up with his 1994 album, Dare Iz a Darkside. The first single, "Rockafella", samples Leon Haywood's "I Want'a Do Something Freaky to You" and George Clinton's "Flash Light", two of the most sampled songs in hip hop. Redman's second album was notable for having most of the tracks produced by the artist himself (later on Redman would let other producers make most of his beats). During this time he used former mentor Erick Sermon to produce his records, including "Pick it up" and "Whateva Man" from Muddy Waters. Muddy Waters (1996–97) On December 10, 1996 Redman released his third album Muddy Waters, which was highly praised by critics.[3][4] The album featured two Billboard Hot 100 singles, "Whateva Man" and "It's Like That (My Big Brother)". The song "Do What You Feel" also appeared on the soundtrack to the popular video game Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories. The album was certified gold by the RIAA on February 12, 1997. During this time, with new found friendships with Method Man and Tupac, they both appeared on Tupac's double album "All Eyez on Me" on the song "Got my Mind Made Up". Doc's da Name 2000 & Blackout (1998–99) In 1998 Redman released his first collaboration album El Niño with group Def Squad. His fourth studio album Doc's Da Name 2000.[5] was a top seller, shipping platinum in sales and exceeding his previous record of gold. It peaked at #11 on The Billboard 200 and had three songs ("I'll Bee Dat", "Da Goodness", "Let Da Monkey Out") that charted. With his new formed close partnership with labelmate Method Man who, with him, made a featured appearance with him on the Doc's Da Name 2000 record on the song "Well All Rite Cha". In 1999 Method Man and Redman released a collaborative album called "Blackout!", Originally, the record was supposed to be advertised as "Amerika's Most Blunted", but changed to a more commercially friendly title called Blackout!. Malpractice (2001) In 2001 Redman released his fifth studio album Malpractice. It reached #4 on The Billboard 200 and was certified Gold by the RIAA on July 21, 2001.[6] It boasted two singles "Let's Get Dirty (I Can't Get In Da Club)" and "Smash Sumthin'". Mixtapes, Collaborations & Production (2002–2006) Since the release of Malpractice, he has kept his fans happy by independently releasing the Ill At Will mixtapes, which feature various members of his new record label Gilla House members under Redman's Gilla House imprint include Saukrates, Icarus, Ready Roc, E3, Young Heat, and Melanie. Redman had his best-known international hit with Christina Aguilera, when he was featured on her 2002 single "Dirrty". Around this time he was also featured on a popular remix of Pink's track Get This Party Started. He is cited in the song 'Till I Collapse as rapper Eminem's favorite rapper, beating out Jay Z, 2Pac, and Notorious B.I.G., among others. Rockbox -Apollo Kids is the ninth studio album by American rapper and Wu-Tang Clan-member Ghostface Killah, released on December 21, 2010, by Def Jam Recordings. Guests on the album include several Wu-Tang members and affiliates, as well as Redman, Black Thought, Busta Rhymes, Joell Ortiz, and Game, among others. Apollo Kids is the follow-up to Ghostface's R&B-oriented; Ghostdini: Wizard of Poetry in Emerald City (2009) and serves as a return to the characteristic "Wu-Tang Sound". Ghostface Killah recorded the album at Red Bull Studios and Stark Studios in New York City. He conceived it as a mixtape for Def Jam after having recorded Blue & Cream and opting not to release it with the label. Although it only charted at number 120 on the Billboard 200, Apollo Kids received acclaim from music critics, who praised its gritty aesthetic and Ghostface Killah's unfiltered rapping.
