Hardboiled (or hard-boiled) fiction is a literary style, most commonly associated with crime fiction (especially detective stories), and distinguished by the unsentimental portrayal of violence and sometimes sex. The style was pioneered by Carroll John Daly in the mid-1920s,[citation needed] popularized by Dashiell Hammett over the course of the decade, and refined by Raymond Chandler beginning in the late 1930s.
From its earliest days, hardboiled fiction was published in and closely associated with so-called pulp magazines, most famously Black Mask under the editorship of Joseph T. Shaw. In its earliest uses in the late 1920s, "hardboiled" didn't refer exclusively to a type of crime fiction; it meant any tough and violent fiction, which also included adventure and western stories. Pulp historian Robert Sampson argues that the "Don Everhard" stories by Gordon Young (which appeared in Adventure magazine from 1917 onwards), about a gun-toting urban gambler, anticipated the hardboiled detective stories.
Lauren Ogilvie "Lo" Bosworth (born September 29, 1986) is an American television personality and author. She is best known for her appearances on the MTV reality series Laguna Beach: The Real Orange County and its spin-off, The Hills.
Bosworth was born on September 29, 1986 and grew up in Laguna Beach, CA, before moving to Los Angeles, CA. Bosworth is a graduate of UCLA, where she was a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma Sorority and majored in Art History.
Bosworth first appeared on the MTV reality series Laguna Beach: The Real Orange County alongside best friend Lauren Conrad and former classmates, Stephen Colletti and Kristin Cavallari. Throughout the series, she and her friend's lives were filmed during their senior year of high school, as well as the summer prior to college. She appeared as a regular in the first season, and made a couple of appearances in the second.
After Laguna Beach, Lauren Conrad (Bosworth's best friend since elementary school) went on to star in its spin-off, The Hills. However, the pair were not on speaking terms for the early stages of production. As a result, Bosworth was not added as a secondary cast member until the second season, after she and Lauren had reconciled. This rift in Conrad and Bosworth's friendship was only briefly mentioned on The Hills. The only details given were that the two did not speak for nearly two years due to a fight caused by Jen Bunney, a mutual friend who has made several appearances on the program.

Lyrics by P. Wagner
On a dusty winding road, luck is not for free.
If you did like you were told, you will never see.
Just give me your heartblood...
Can it be a sin to speak in the tongue of freedom?
You will only win if you try the best to be you.
Just give me your heartblood...
Warfare in a sick society.
Out there give it all or leave it be.
No fear! What do you mean 'security'?
Who cares about you? You'll only hear:
Give me your heartblood...
I hope our love lasts, passed our lifetime
although some times, I know we went astray
they say all ways will seperate some day
so let them say, but hell that's not our way
and all I know, and all I know, I know my love's so deep
and all I know, and all I know, you showed a love that's so deep
I feel our hearts bleed into one, bleed into one
damn well I know, there won't be a pair to find
never two of a kind, with just one single mind
but who's to blame, and for whoever cares
our lives too short, our love's forever, yeah
cause all I know, yes, all I know, I know my love roots so deep
cause all I know, yes, all I know, you showed me love that's so deep
I feel our hearts bleed into one, feel our hearts bleed into,
I feel our hearts bleed into one, bleed into one
all I wanna feel
all I wanna feel, all I wanna feel, all I wanna feel, all I wanna feel....
cause all I know, yes, all I know, I know my love roots so deep
cause all I know, yes, all I know, you showed me love that's so deep
I feel our hearts bleed into one, feel our hearts bleed into,
I feel our hearts bleed into one, bleed into one
