Crucifixion is an ancient method of deliberately painful execution in which the condemned person is tied or nailed to a large wooden cross and left to hang until dead.
Crucifixion was in use at a comparatively high rate among the Seleucids, Carthaginians, and Romans from about the 6th century BC to the 4th century AD. In the year 337, Emperor Constantine I abolished it in the Roman Empire out of veneration for Jesus Christ, the most famous victim of crucifixion. It was also used as a form of execution in Japan for criminals, inflicted also on some Christians.
A crucifix (an image of Christ crucified on a cross) is the main religious symbol for Catholics, Eastern Orthodox and Oriental Orthodox, but most Protestant Christians prefer to use a cross without the figure (the "corpus": Latin for "body") of Christ. Most crucifixes portray Jesus on a Latin cross, rather than any other shape, such as a Tau cross or a Greek cross.
Ancient Greek has two verbs for crucify: ana-stauro (ἀνασταυρόω), from stauros, "stake", and apo-tumpanizo (ἀποτυμπανίζω) "crucify on a plank." together with anaskolopizo (ἀνασκολοπίζω "impale"). In earlier pre-Roman Greek texts anastauro usually means "impale." The word xylon "piece of wood" was also used, but for a gallows, not a stake, as in the Aristophanes comedy The Frogs; "if you stumble, at least you'll hang from a respectable tree."
Charles "Chuck" Missler is an author, evangelical Christian, Bible teacher, former businessman and US Naval officer. He is the founder of the Koinonia House ministry based in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho.
Missler was for several years the chairman, the chief executive, and the largest shareholder of Western Digital. In 1983 he became the chairman and chief executive of Helionetics Inc., another technology company. After teaching for many years at Calvary Chapel Costa Mesa, Missler moved to Coeur d'Alene in 1992 and founded Koinonia House. Through this organization, Missler distributes a monthly newsletter, Bible study tapes, and a radio show, and speaks at conferences.
Missler is a prominent speaker on the subject of bible prophecy. Missler has had numerous programs aired on the Christian television station GOD TV, namely the DVD versions of his biblical studies "Learn the Bible in 24 Hours", "The Book of Revelation", "The Book of Genesis", and "The Book of Daniel".[citation needed] A Los Angeles Times article reported that Missler and co-author Hal Lindsey had plagiarized a portion of Miami University Professor Edwin Yamauchi's 1982 book Foes From the Northern Frontier in their own 1992 book The Magog Factor. A YouTube video in which Missler uses a jar of peanut butter to attempt to disprove evolution attracted media attention in 2007-2008.
Ahmed Hoosen Deedat (Arabic: احمد حسين ديدات; 1 July 1918 – 8 August 2005) was a South African writer and public speaker of Indian descent. He was best known as a Muslim missionary who held numerous inter-religious public debates with evangelical Christians, as well as video lectures, most of which centred around Islam, Christianity and the Bible. He also established the IPCI, an international Islamic missionary organisation, and wrote several booklets on Islam and Christianity which were widely distributed by the organisation. He was awarded the prestigious King Faisal International Prize in 1986 for his 50 years of missionary work. One focus of his work was providing Muslims with theological tools for defending themselves against active proselytising by Christian missionaries.[citation needed] He used English to get his message across to Muslims and non-Muslims in the western world.
Ahmed Deedat was born in the town of Tadkeshwar, Surat, Bombay Presidency, British India in 1918. His father had emigrated to South Africa shortly after the birth of Ahmed Deedat. At the age of 9, Deedat left India to join his father in what is now known as Kwazulu-Natal. His mother died only a few months after his departure. Arriving in South Africa, Deedat applied himself with diligence to his studies, overcoming the language barrier and excelling in school, even getting promoted until he completed standard 6. However, due to financial circumstances, he had to quit school and start working by the time he was the age of 16.
My God, my God! Why hast thou forsaken Me?
Be not far from Me, for trouble is near
For bulls have surrounded Me, they open wide their mouths at Me
I am poured out like water, all my bones are out of joint
My heart is like wax, melted within Me
Dogs have surrounded Me, and nailed my hands and feet
I can count every one of my bones, they look and curse and stare at Me
Mary, why do you weep? For now you see it's Me
I've risen from the dead; the others shall come and see
God gave me the victory over satan and this world
And the night comes again to the circle studded sky
The stars settle slowly, in loneliness they lie
'Til the Universe explodes as a falling star is raised
Planets are paralyzed, mountains are amazed
But they all glow brighter from the brilliance of the blaze
With the speed of insanity then He died
In the green fields a turnin', baby is born
His cries crease the wind and mingle with the morn
An assault upon the order, changing of the guard
Chosen for a challenge that is hopelessly hard
And the only single sound is the sighing of the stars
But to the silence of distance they are sworn
So dance, dance, dance
Teach us to be true
Come, dance, dance, dance
'Cause we love you
Images of innocence charge Him go on
But the decadence of destiny is looking for a pawn
To a nightmare of knowledge he opens up the gate
Binding revelation is laid upon His plate
That beneath the greatest love is a hurricane of hate
And God help the critic of the dawn
So he stands on the sea and He shouts to the shore
But the louder that He screams, longer He's ignored
For the wine of oblivion is drunk to the dregs
And the merchants of the masses almost have to be begged
'Til the giant is aware, someone's pulling at His leg
And someone is tapping at the door
To dance, dance, dance
Teach us to be true
Come, dance, dance, dance
'Cause we love you
Then His message gathers meaning and it spreads across the land
The rewarding of His pain is the following of the man
But ignorance is everywhere and people have their way
Success is an enemy to the losers of the day
In the shadows of the churches, who knows what they pray
For blood is the language of the band
The Spanish bulls are beaten, the crowd is soon beguiled
The matador is beautiful, a symphony of style
Excitement is ecstatic, passion places bets
Gracefully He bows to ovations that He gets
But the hands that are applauding are slippery with sweat
And saliva is falling from their smiles
So dance, dance, dance
Teach us to be true
Come, dance, dance, dance
'Cause we love you
Then this overflow of life is crushed into a liar
The Gentle Soul is ripped apart and tossed into the fire
First, a smile of rejection at the nearness of the night
Truth becomes a tragedy limping from the light
All the canons are horrified, they stagger from the sight
As the Cross is trembling with desire
They say they can't believe it, it's a sacrilegious shame
Now, who would want to hurt such a Hero of the game?
But you know I predicted it, I knew He had to fall
How did it happen? I hope His suffering was small
Tell me every detail, I've got to know it all
And do you have a picture of the pain?
So dance, dance, dance
Teach us to be true
Come, dance, dance, dance
'Cause we love you
Time takes her toll and memory fades
But His glory is broken in magic that He made
Reality is ruined, it's the freeing from the fear
Drama is distorted, what they want to hear
Swimming in their sorrow, in the twisting of a tear
As they wait for a new thrill parade
Yes, the eyes of the rebel have been branded by the blind
To the safety of sterility, the threat has been refined
The child was created, to the slaughterhouse he's led
So good to be alive when the eulogy is read
Climax of emotion, the worship of the dead
And the cycle of sacrifice unwinds
So dance, dance, dance
Teach us to be true
Come, dance, dance, dance
'Cause we love you
And the night comes again to the circle studded sky
The stars settle slowly, in loneliness they lie
'Till the universe explodes as a falling star is raised
Planets are paralyzed, mountains are amazed
But they all glow brighter from the brilliance of the blaze

Crucifixion, Satan's cross
Is he mad or is he God
Trapped alive in your own tomb
Damn the peasants
You know you're doomed
Crucifixion, Satan's cross
Fear the one who'll bring you down
Behold the flame
Of the sorcerer's name
You will rise when darkness falls
Crucifixion, Satan's cross
Is he mad or is he God
Trapped alive in your own tomb
Damn the peasants
You know you're doomed
War!
And rage
Is the curse
Of the wishing well
Fight!
And resist
The pain and sorrow
Of the demon's guilt
Cries come from the grave
Cries come from the grave
Rise from the flames
Strength and power from the grave
Shout and scream
Defend the Reich's infernal reign
Rising from the flames
Rising from the flames
[Solo]
War!
And rage
Is the curse
Of the wishing well
Shout and scream
Defend the Reich's infernal flame
Crucifixion, Satan's cross
Is he mad or is he God
Trapped alive in your own tomb
JESUSGod, forgive them, they don't know what they're doing.
Who is my mother? Where is my mother?
My God! My God, why have you forgotten me?
I am thirsty.
God, I am thirsty.
I am thirsty!
It is finished!
We deny Gods and his rule
We defy his supreme force
Crucified by the dark power
His death was a glory
Forgotten by our mind forever
He's left the churches to torment us
We'll destroy the hegh altar
Until we see the ashes of pain
CRUCIFIXION
We'll show to the world our hate
The priests will have their final torment
We'll spit on the churches, we have an ideal
Black tortures you'll feel
The mankind goes to suicide
Thay have faith in Gods as false as their name
Christ, preacher of goodness and beauty
Gods, preachers of lies and destruction
The Gods grave doors
Is below his brains
Rotenness and dirtyness go out
By a simple prayer of mercy
The treason of his death will be your blame
Your master is buried in the abyss
The dead, they already celebrate his arrival
In the altar of fallen Gods, throne of his own existence
JESUS
God forgive them--they don't know what they're doing
Who is my mother? Where is my mother?
My God My God why have you forgotten me?
I am thirsty
It is finished
They took my body today
I saw them tear it to pieces
They filled my lungs with water
then gave me air again
My flesh was worth nothing
my blood even less
Their words were ice and fire
My answers silent as death
They were blind for my tears
They were deaf for my screams
They didn't know I was watching
They didn't know that I heard
They took my body today
but my mind is still free
They believe that I am dead
