English/Nat
XFA
In the first ever bilateral U-S-Croatian amphibious military exercises, U-S and Croat naval forces have simulated a landing operation on an island in the Adriatic Sea in an exercise meant to train the military of the former Yugoslav republic.
Croatia is a new member of NATO's Partnership for Peace programme, which allows the nation to participate in many of NATO activities without being a member of the alliance.
The exercise on Tuesday, dubbed "Phiblex 2000," also testifies to vastly improved relations between Croatia and the United States following the election of a new, pro-Western government there earlier this year.
But the timing of the exercise - two days after elections in neighbouring Yugoslavia - led to speculation that it serves to discourage Yugoslav President Slobodan Milosevic from exerting force to ensure he stays in power.
The U-S-S Austin was just 240 kilometres (150 miles) northwest of Yugoslavia's pro-Western republic of Montenegro for during the U-S-Croat military exercise on Tuesday.
The ship's commanding officer denied claims that the exercise was meant to discourage Yugoslav President Slobodan Milosevic from exerting force to ensure he stays in power, saying it was planned months ago and "has no relation" to the Yugoslav elections.
But he said he was aware of the vote.
Yugoslavia's government has now said opposition presidential candidate Vojislav Kostunica finished first in the weekend presidential elections.
State television said he'll now compete again with Milosevic in a runoff.
Prior to the elections, American officials expressed concerns for the safety of Montenegro's pro-Western leader Milo Djukanovic, who may be targeted by his adversary, Milosevic.
One U-S Marine said both forces would profit from Tuesday's bilateral military exercise.
SOUNDBITE: (English)
"It's a great opportunity for all of us, both Americans and Croatians, to work together on such an exercise, this amphibious assault on the island. Anytime you can get two forces working together everyone profits from it."
SUPER CAPTION: US Marine
About 400 sailors and 200 Marines from the amphibious assault ship U-S-S Austin and 400 Croatian soldiers jumped into Zodiac rubber boats and simulated a landing operation on the Croatian island of Zirje in the Adriatic Sea.
As they approached the largely deserted island, Marines used small flares to disguise the landing spots, while some Croatian soldiers took off from U-S-S Austin in Croatian MI-8 helicopters and landed on Zirje.
Croatian Deputy Defence Minister Zlatko Gareljic watched the exercise from the U-S-S Austin.
The Major General of the Croatian 4th Brigade described the main objective of the exercise.
SOUNDBITE: (English)
"The main objective for us is to check our interoperability and compatibility with United States armed forces, but also with any other forces from NATO countries."
SUPER CAPTION: Damir Kristicevic, Major General of the Croatian 4th Brigade and Deputy Chief of the Joint Staff
It was the largest and most demanding joint Croat-U-S exercise to date.
When asked if his forces would take action if Milosevic exerted force following the Yugoslav elections, the commander of the U-S Marines said his troops were ready to carry out missions as directed.
SOUNDBITE: (English)
"(Q Will your forces take action if things turn nasty in Belgrade after the elections?) The Marines expeditionary unit and the amphibious ready group come to the Mediterranean for six-month
deployments. We are ready to do missions whenever we are directed to. That's what we do for a living."
SUPER CAPTION: Lt Col Paul Brygider, Commander of Marines troops
The country is now seeking full NATO membership.

Croatia - Military parade to celebrate Victory and Homeland Thanksgiving Day and the Day of Croatian Defenders, which marks the 20th anniversary of Operation Storm, Zagreb, 4Aug2015.
Croatia started celebrating its "liberation" with a military parade, with some 3,000 soldiers and war veterans, 300 vehicles and 30 aircraft in the capital Zagreb, gathering thousands of spectators.
Another ceremony, attended by top officials, will be held on Wednesday in the town of Knin, a wartime rebel Serb stronghold that Croatian troops recaptured on August 5, 1995.
"Operation Storm was a turning point (in the conflict), a brilliant military operation, justified and legitimate," Croatian President Kolinda Grabar-Kitarovic said in a speech at a defence ministry ceremony, encouraging citizens to be "proud and dignified" during the festivities.
The Croatian army launched Operation Storm on August 4, 1995, and in an 84-hour offensive it saw 130,000 troops recapture a region that had been in Serb hands since 1991.

★▬▬▬▬▬▬▬★★ About "Lijepa naša domovino" ★★▬▬▬▬▬▬▬★
"Lijepa naša domovino" (Our Beautiful Homeland) is the national anthem of Croatia. It is often referred to as just "Lijepa naša" ("Our Beautiful") in Croatia, which is also a phrase widely used as a metonym for the country.
The original lyrics were written by Antun Mihanović and first published under the title Horvatska domovina (Croatian homeland) in 1835. In 1846, the music amateur Josip Runjanin (1821–1878) composed the music for Horvatska domovina. Runjanin's army bandmaster Josip Wendl adapted his music for a military brass orchestra. It has not been known what was the original form of the melody because the first copy has not been recovered to this day.
The song was scored and harmonized for a male choir by a teacher of singing and organist of the Zagreb Cathedral Vatroslav Lichtenegger in 1861, and after that it started to be performed as the Croatian people's anthem. The title Lijepa naša has been applied since that time. The original anthem has 14 verses. Since then it has come to be known under the slightly longer present title and a few minor adjustments have been made to the lyrics.
The song was not immediately adopted by the Croatian Parliament as the national anthem. In 1907, the Association of Croatian Singing Clubs requested the parliament to do so but received no response, even though the song was used as the anthem in unofficial capacity at ceremonies, including the 29 October 1918 session of the parliament when Croatia formally dissolved its ties with Austria-Hungary.
Between 1918 and 1941, segments of the Croatian national anthem were part of the national anthem of the Kingdom of Yugoslavia and it was unofficial hymn of Croats. During the World War II, in the Independent State of Croatia it was also used as state anthem, albeit with some modifications to the lyrics. Croatian partisans were also using it, for example during ZAVNOH sessions.
The song became the official anthem of Croatia through amendments of the Constitution of Croatia adopted by the parliament of the SR Croatia on 29 February 1972. The anthem was confirmed by constitutions of 1974 and 1990, when its lyrics were slightly modified, and by the Coat of Arms, the Flag and the National Anthem of the Republic of Croatia Act.

"Lijepa naša domovino" (Our Beautiful Homeland) is the national anthem of Croatia. It is often referred to as just "Lijepa naša" ("Our Beautiful") in Croatia, which is also a phrase widely used as a metonym for the country.
The original lyrics were written by Antun Mihanović and first published under the title Horvatska domovina (Croatian homeland) in 1835.[1] In 1846, the music amateur Josip Runjanin (1821–1878) composed the music for Horvatska domovina.[1] Runjanin's army bandmaster Josip Wendl adapted his music for a military brass orchestra.[1] It has not been known what was the original form of the melody because the first copy has not been recovered to this day.[citation needed][2]
The song was scored and harmonized for a male choir by a teacher of singing and organist of the Zagreb Cathedral Vatroslav Lichtenegger in 1861, and after that it started to be performed as the Croatian people's anthem.[3][1] The title Lijepa naša has been applied since that time. Croatian
Lijepa naša domovino,
Oj junačka zemljo mila,
Stare slave djedovino,
Da bi vazda sretna bila!
Mila, kano si nam slavna,
Mila si nam ti jedina.
Mila, kuda si nam ravna,
Mila, kuda si planina!
Teci Dravo, Savo teci,
Nit' ti Dunav silu gubi,
Sinje more svijetu reci,
Da svoj narod Hrvat ljubi.
Dok mu njive sunce grije,
Dok mu hrašće bura vije,
Dok mu mrtve grobak krije,
Dok mu živo srce bije!
English
Our beautiful homeland,
O so fearless and gracious.
Our fathers' ancient glory,
May you be blessed forever.
Dear, you are our only glory,
Dear, you are our only one,
Dear, we love your plains,
Dear, we love your mountains.
Drava, Sava, keep on flowing,
Danube, do not lose your vigour,
Deep blue sea, tell the world,
That a Croat loves his homeland.
Whilst his fields are kissed by sunshine,
Whilst his oaks are whipped by wild winds,
Whilst his dear ones go to heaven,
Whilst his live heart beats.

Serbo-Croat/Nat
Croatian forces have been moved towards the Serb held area of Eastern Slavonia for a second night running.
In the face of the increased troop movements, the inhabitants of the frontline town of Osijek have been preparing for a renewal of fighting.
For the second night running a large number of Croatian troops and weapons left their army barracks in Zagreb heading eastwards.
Heavy artillery, multiple rocket launchers, armoured vehicles, tanks and engineering units were on the move.
The Croatian Army refuses to make any comment on the movements.
Rebel Serbs, with help from the Serb dominated Yugoslav army, occupied one third of Croatian territory after Croatia declared its independence from Yugoslavia in 1991.
Earlier this year, the Croatian army recaptured most of its territories lost in 1991, leaving Eastern Slavonia the last bit held by rebel Serbs.
They deny Croatian sovereignty and refuse to live in a Croatian state.
Eastern Slavonia is the most eastern part of Republic of Croatia and is only separated from Serbia proper by the River Danube.
Because of the increase in tensions in the area, Eastern Slavonia is high on the agenda at the Dayton peace talks.
The latest troop movements make the possibility of a peaceful reintegration of Eastern Slavonia in Republic of Croatia increasingly difficult.
War fever is present on both sides.
Earlier this week, local Serbs took over deserted U-N observation checkpoints in the separation zone.
Elsewhere Croatian troops are stationing themselves in bunkers and army bulldozers were digging out artillery positions near Osijek.
People in the city of Osijek and the entire region bordering Eastern Slavonia are preparing for a fresh onslaught of fighting.
Fresh shelters made of sand bags have been erected around the city.
The County Prefect of Eastern Slavonia, a Croatian hard-liner, said Osijek was ready for war.
SOUNDBITE:
"We are ready for the military option. It is up to the Serbs to accept the proposed agreement or to refuse it. In case they will refuse it, and it looks like they are not going to accept it, Croatia will have legal right and green light of international community to liberate its occupied territories with its own means and reintegrate those regions with its own power."

Croatian President Franjo Tudjman, who has returned from the peace talks in Dayton, has said he will liberate the area by November the 30th if the current negotiations end in failure.

Abandoned, and still one of the largest underground airports in Europe. Construction of the base began in 1948 and was completed in 1968. SFRJ (Yugoslavia) spent around $6 billion on its construction. It was one of the largest and most expensive military projects in Europe. And in 1992 it was deliberately destroyed and abandoned. Today Željava stands on the border of Croatia (90%) and Bosnia & Herzegovina (10%) near the town of Bihać. (B&H;) There are 4 parts that you can explore: three abandoned aircraft, one Douglas C-47B Skytrain and two Republic F-84G Thunderjets, the military base, 5 runways, and the most interesting, the underground facility KLEK.
If you plan on visiting, THIS IS IMPORTANT!
1. Keep your feet on the concrete or asphalt! Don't walk on the grass!
You could step on a Land Mine!
2. Wear protective clothing like gloves, boots and a mask in the underground object KLEK due to toxic material.
3. Notify the border police on the nearest border crossing about your visit.

Croatian President Franjo Tudjman's ruling Croatian Democratic
Union (HDZ) is the strong favourite to win Sunday's (29/10)
elections for the lower house of Parliament. The opposition parties have been handicapped by the mainly state-run media and face an uphill
struggle to oust a government which has led the country from
communist Yugoslavia to national independence. Tudjman himself is
not up for re-election. But as a charismatic figurehead, his role
of boosting the HDZ campaign has been vital. The HDZ won the first
multi-party elections in 1990 and the first post-independence
elections two years later. It is seen as both nationalist and
right-wing. Tudjman and his party currently enjoy considerable
national popularity because of the Croatian military's recapture
of the Krajina region from rebel Serbs during the summer.
Tudjman's talk of further military action to retake Eastern
Slavonia, the last remaining piece of Croatia still in Serb hands,
if current negotiations for a peaceful hand-back fail have also
helped keep the HDZ at the top of the polls. At an election rally
in the southwestern port city of Rijeka on Wednesday (25/10),
Tudjman was cheered by huge crowds. Shouts of "Croatia, Croatia"
greeted his pledge to win back Eastern Slavonia by force if
necessary. With 90 percent of Croatia's media controlled by the
HDZ, the country's second largest party, the Croatian Social
Liberal Party (HSLS) has been struggling to win support. It was
banned from making television advertisments earlier this month and
an electoral commission running the polls appears relatively
toothless. The minority Serbian People's Party has also attacked
the Government for engineering the election. Spokesman Veselin
Pejnovic said Serbs would be forced to use a different colour
voting slip which would instantly identify them.

Split is the second largest city in Croatia lying on the Adriatic coastline. This is one of the oldest Cities dating back 1700 years to an ancient time where Greeks and Romans ruled.
It's a place of historical monuments and resorts to explore. The old city is an ancient maze of limestone streets with cafes throughout, while the beaches provide some of the cleanest water to swim in.
A transportation hub that brings travellers to sail to the many adjacent islands such as Hvar, another island I explored.
There are adventurous hiking trails that wrap around the peninsula. Courtyards with concerts and events, with an exciting Riva waterfront promenade to stroll and enjoy the cafes and scenery.
Split is one of the most cleanest and beautiful cities I have ever visited.

THE VATICAN'S HOLOCAUST is not a misnomer, an accusation, and even less a speculation. It is an historical fact. Rabid nationalism and religious dogmatism were its two main ingredients. During the existence of Croatia as an independent Catholic State, over 700,000 men, women and children perished. Many were executed, tortured, died of starvation, buried alive, or were burned to death. Hundreds were forced to become Catholic. Catholic padres ran concentration camps; Catholic priests were officers of the military corps which committed such atrocities. 700,000 in a total population of a few million, proportionally, would be as if one-third of the USA population had been exterminated by a Catholic militia (Avro Manhattan).
The Croatian Holocaust
This is the "hidden Holocaust" which, though well-known to scholars, is rarely, mentioned elsewhere, presumably because of the active involvement of the Catholic Church, which used the terror to win an estimated 200,000 to 300,000 new converts. The current lawsuit is on behalf of three groups of victims in the Croatian Holocaust: the Serbs, who were obliged to wear blue armbands marked with a "P" for Orthodox (Pravoslavac), the Jews, who had to wear the Star of David, and the Roma (whose extermination by the Nazis is called the Porajmos). The suit no longer involves the means by which the funds were obtained, only their disposal. However, no serious historian disputes the claimants' account of the origin of the "victim gold":
Serbs, Jews, and the Roma were slaughtered in their villages after unspeakable tortures or burned alive in their churches. Those that were not murdered were expelled to Serbia proper after being despoiled of all their property or forcibly converted to the Roman Catholic faith by Franciscan and Roman Catholic clergy. Many were used as slave labourers. The remaining people were taken to concentration camps where the majority perished.
The Führer (Poglavnik) Pavelic in the military boots beloved of fascist leaders
is surrounded by Franciscans. "Upon the establishment of the Ustasha Regime[led by Pavelic] individual Franciscan priests deserted their vocations and incited attacks on Serb and Roma settlements, tortured, killed and expropriated their victims in dozens of villages in Croatia and Bosnia. [...] OFM [the Franciscans] did not actively seek out and punish most priests associated with the Ustasha during the Second World War despite knowledge of their activities."
And the Vatican did nothing.
From stolen gold and money, the Vatican enabled Nazis to escape to Argentina, buy so-call "ratlines".
Pope John Paul ll declared Aloysius Stepinac beatified in 1998.
During World War II, on 6 April 1941, Yugoslavia was invaded by Nazi Germany, who established the Ustaše-led Independent State of Croatia. As archbishop of the puppet state's capital, Stepinac had close associations with the Ustaše leaders during the Nazi occupation, had issued proclamations celebrating the NDH, and welcomed the Ustaše leaders. Also, he was a military vicar and a deputy of "parliament" of the so-called Independent State of Croatia.
Despite opposition of the international community, the Vatican and Germany were the first to recognize the independence of Croatia, 1991-2. The historical revisionism triumphed in the Balkans.
In August 1995, Croatia expelled the remaining Serbs. The second part of the Ustasha's plan for resolving the Serbian question was fulfilled.

==== ABDH.M | Gorgeous World ===
A fascinating land with a hard-fought history in a complex corner of Europe, Croatia is emerging as one of Europe's top destinations. Sampling the very best of Croatia, we start by exploring the fabled Dalmatian Coast from dramatic Dubrovnik to crusty Adriatic island ports. Heading inland, we hike through Plitvice Lakes National Park and enjoy the thriving capital city Zagreb. Our Croatian finale: the Istrian Peninsula and its enchanting port town of Rovinj.
Croatia (Listeni/kroʊˈeɪʃə/; Croatian: Hrvatska, pronounced [xř̩ʋaːtskaː]), officially the Republic of Croatia (Croatian: Republika Hrvatska About this sound listen (help·info)) is a sovereign state at the crossroads of Central Europe, Southeast Europe, and the Mediterranean. Its capital city is Zagreb, which forms one of the country's primary subdivisions, along with the twenty counties. Croatia covers 56,594 square kilometres (21,851 square miles) and has diverse, mostly continental and Mediterranean climates. Croatia's Adriatic Sea coast contains more than a thousand islands. The country's population is 4.28 million, most of whom are Croats, with the most common religious denomination being Roman Catholicism.
The Croats arrived in the area of present-day Croatia during the early part of the 7th century AD. They organised the state into two duchies by the 9th century. Tomislav became the first king by 925, elevating Croatia to the status of a kingdom. The Kingdom of Croatia retained its sovereignty for nearly two centuries, reaching its peak during the rule of Kings Peter Krešimir IV and Dmitar Zvonimir. Croatia entered a personal union with Hungary in 1102. In 1527, faced with Ottoman conquest, the Croatian Parliament elected Ferdinand I of the House of Habsburg to the Croatian throne. In 1918, after World War I, Croatia was included in the unrecognised State of Slovenes, Croats and Serbs which seceded from Austria-Hungary and merged into the Kingdom of Yugoslavia. A fascist Croatian puppet state existed during World War II. After the war, Croatia became a founding member and a federal constituent of Second Yugoslavia, a constitutionally socialist state. In June 1991, Croatia declared independence, which came into effect on 8 October of the same year. The Croatian War of Independence was fought successfully during the four years following the declaration.
A unitary state, Croatia is a republic governed under a parliamentary system. The International Monetary Fund classified Croatia as an emerging and developing economy, and the World Bank identified it as a high-income economy. Croatia is a member of the European Union (EU), United Nations (UN), the Council of Europe, NATO, the World Trade Organization (WTO) and a founding member of the Union for the Mediterranean. As an active participant in the UN peacekeeping forces, Croatia has contributed troops to the NATO-led mission in Afghanistan and took a non-permanent seat on the UN Security Council for the 2008–2009 term.
The service sector dominates Croatia's economy, followed by the industrial sector and agriculture. wn.com/Best Destination Croatia Pearl Of Adriatic Sea | Full Documentary Hd
==== ABDH.M | Gorgeous World ===
A fascinating land with a hard-fought history in a complex corner of Europe, Croatia is emerging as one of Europe's top destinations.
Tourism is a significant source of revenue during the summer, with Croatia ranked the 18th most popular tourist destination in the world. The state controls a part of the economy, with substantial government expenditure. The European Union is Croatia's most important trading partner. Since 2000, the Croatian government has invested in infrastructure, especially transport routes and facilities along the Pan-European corridors. Internal sources produce a significant portion of energy in Croatia; the rest is imported. On April 3, 1996, United States Air Force Flight IFO-21, a United States Air Force Boeing CT-43A crashed on approach to Dubrovnik, Croatia while on an official trade mission. The aircraft, a Boeing 737-253 built as a Boeing CT-43A navigational trainer, was carrying United States Secretary of Commerce Ron Brown and 34 other people,[2] including The New York Times Frankfurt Bureau chief Nathaniel C. Nash. While attempting an instrument approach to Dubrovnik Airport, the airplane crashed into a mountainside; everyone on board died. Air Force Technical Sergeant Shelly Kelly survived the crash, but died en route to hospital.[3]
The aircraft was operated by the 86th Airlift Wing, based at Ramstein Air Base in Germany. Unlike civilian 737s, the military CT-43A version was equipped with neither a flight data recorder nor a cockpit voice recorder.[4]

Here it is.. Cro Cop Story, an awesome personal look into the life of Mirko Filipović, one of the most infamous K-1/Pride fighters of all time. This special was featured in Croatia on local television sometime in the early 2000's. It was ripped and released online with English subtitles. A few years ago, I went through the translation and edited/fixed many of the subtitles which had structuring issues, timing issues, etc. It isn't perfect, but it's a step above the prior release. Finally got around to uploading my re-edit, so here it is. Enjoy! WARRRRRR!
Mirko Filipović (Croatian pronunciation: [mîrko fǐːlipɔːʋitɕ]; born September 10, 1974) is a Croatian heavyweight mixed martial artist, retired kickboxer, boxer, politician, and law enforcement officer. ilipović is the former 2006 Pride World Grand Prix Open-Weight Champion and the former K-1 World Grand Prix Champion becoming the second fighter in the world to win both an MMA championship and K-1 World Grand Prix Championship, and he is also a former IGF Heavyweight Champion. His nickname, Cro Cop, short for "Croatian Cop", comes from his membership in the Lučko Anti-Terrorist Unit, Croatia's elite Police Special Forces tactical unit. Filipović owed his mixed martial arts success to a combination of elite-level kickboxing and near-impregnable takedown defense, making him one of the most dangerous strikers in history and a prototype for the modern sprawl and brawler. Filipović's signature move was his lightning quick left head-kick, once famously described as "right leg, hospital; left leg, cemetery."[2] Filipović was also a successful amateur boxer. Mirko medalled numerous times in international competition, and was also a member of Croatia's world team when he competed at the 1997 Amateur Boxing World Championships. In his prime he was considered one of the best mixed martial artists, along with Fedor Emelianenko and Antônio Rodrigo Nogueira.

ALIEN CONECTIONS: NIKOLA TESLA AND EXTRATERRESTRIAL SIGNAL
by Matrix World Disclosure Channel
His name is Nikola Tesla. He was born on the night of 9/10 of July, 1856 in the Croatian village of Smiljan, a village near Gospic Lika, (the Krajina, a military district of Austro-Hungarian Empire, now in the Republic of Croatia).
This event took place at the stroke of midnight" with lightning striking during a summer storm. Because of the unusual moment of his birth, the midwife commented that "He'll be a child of the storm," to which his mother answered: "No, of light."
The great man is gone but... he will be remembered forever!
Those who knew him say he was not a normal human, but a superman, either a reincarnated master - or even an ET with superior mental powers placed here to assist in Earth's technological development!
Nikola Tesla could have gone down in history as the man who invented the 20th century. Instead his theories were ridiculed and he died alone in a hotel bedroom.
Mostly, he did not improve on already existing technology, but created prototypes and sometimes entire new industries.
Tesla was the first to attempt to communicate with neighboring worlds using radio waves.
In 1899, he was at his laboratory in Colorado Springs, driving monstrous surges of power into the Earth and also beaming energy outward from the 280-foot tower he'd built. He had instruments to record electromagnetic disturbances anywhere within a radius of 1,100 miles. It was an experiment of Frankensteinian proportions.
During the tests, Tesla began picking up odd data on his instruments. He was sure that this was a signal of some sort.
The signals came periodically, and with such a clear suggestion of number and order that they were not traceable to any cause then known to man.
"The nature of my experiments precluded the possibility of the changes being produced by atmospheric disturbances. . . . Although I could not decipher their meaning, it was impossible for me to think of them as having been entirely accidental . . . a purpose was behind these signals. . . . They are the results of an attempt by some human beings, not of this world; to speak to us by signals..."
"I am absolutely certain that they are not caused by anything terrestrial..."
He claimed he had detected an artificial signal from Mars, or possibly Venus
After informing the world of these signals, he would neither discuss the devices he used nor the signals any further. However, the issue was further researched, according to a report entitled "A Historic Report on Life in Space: Tesla, Marconi, Todd." mentioned by Stanton T. Friedman, a nuclear physicist and the best-known scientific ufologist in North America and probably the world, in his book Captured!: The Betty and Barney Hill UFO Experience".
The purpose of the paper was to examine the original data of Tesla, Marconi and Todd to determine whether or not current science was duplicating the effort made by these men to detect radio frequency communication from extraterrestrial life forms on some distant planet.
Absolute certitude as to the receipt and interchange of messages would be reached as soon as we could respond with the number "four," say, in reply to the signal "one, two, three."
"The Martians, or the inhabitants of whatever planet ad signalled to us, would understand at once that we had caught their message across the gulf of space and had sent back a response. To convey a knowledge of form by such means is, while very difficult, not impossible, and I have already found a way of doing it."What a tremendous stir this would make in the world! How soon will it come? For that it will some time be accomplished must be clear to every thoughtful being.
Something, at least, science has gained. But I hope that it will also be demonstrated soon that in my experiments in the West I was not merely beholding a vision, but had caught sight of a great and profound truth..."
Did Tesla's experiments transmit radio signals to some of our nearer planets?
According to Su-Shu-Huang of the Institute for Advanced Study at Princeton, stars nearly identical to the sun are most likely to have developed life," Stanton Friedman writes in his book.
Had Tesla unintentionally detected signals from another civilization or did he simple make an error...?
Probably, we'll never know. Because of his financial problems, (he was not a good businessman, but a true scientist) the large part of his research notes and other papers were auctioned off after his death.
What happened to his other research papers? How much of Tesla’s work remains hidden and confiscated?
It's unknown and thus, much of his scientific work of great value has been lost for ever.
A great mystery still surrounds him and his genius work! He will never be forgotten!

The Bosnian War, sometimes referred to as the War in Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Bosnian Civil War, was an international armed conflict that took place in Bosnia and Herzegovina between 1 March 1992 and 14 December 1995. The war involved several factions. The main belligerents were the forces of the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina and those of the self-proclaimed Bosnian Serb and Bosnian Croat entities within Bosnia and Herzegovina, Republika Srpska and Herzeg-Bosnia, who were led and supplied by Serbia and Croatia respectively.
The war came about as a result of the breakup of Yugoslavia. Following the Slovenian and Croatian secessions from the Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia in 1991, the multi-ethnic Socialist Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina, which was inhabited by Muslim Bosniaks (44 percent), Orthodox Serbs (31 percent) and Catholic Croats (17 percent), passed a referendum for independence on 29 February 1992. This was rejected by the political representatives of the Bosnian Serbs, who had boycotted the referendum and established their own republic. Following the declaration of independence, the Bosnian Serbs, supported by the Serbian government of Slobodan Milošević and the Yugoslav People's Army (JNA), mobilized their forces inside the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina in order to secure Serbian territory, then war soon broke out across the country, accompanied by the ethnic cleansing of the Muslim Bosniak population, especially in eastern Bosnia.
It was principally a territorial conflict, initially between the Serb forces mostly organized in the Army of Republika Srpska (VRS) on the one side, and the Army of the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina (ARBiH) which was largely composed of Bosniaks, and the Croat forces in the Croatian Defence Council (HVO) on the other side. The Croats also aimed at securing parts of Bosnia and Herzegovina as Croatian. The Serb and Croat political leadership agreed on a partition of Bosnia with the Karađorđevo and Graz agreements, resulting in the Croat forces turning against the ARBiH and the Croat-Bosniak war. The war was characterized by bitter fighting, indiscriminate shelling of cities and towns, ethnic cleansing and systematic mass rape, mostly led by Serb and, to a lesser extent, Croat forces. Events such as the Siege of Sarajevo and the Srebrenica massacre would become iconic of the conflict.
The Serbs, although initially superior due to the vast amount of weapons and resources provided by the JNA, eventually lost momentum as the Bosniaks and Croats allied themselves against the Republika Srpska in 1994 with the creation of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina following the Washington agreement. After the Srebrenica and Markale massacres, NATO intervened in 1995 with Operation Deliberate Force targeting the positions of the Army of the Republika Srpska, which proved key in ending the war. The war was brought to an end after the signing of the General Framework Agreement for Peace in Bosnia and Herzegovina in Paris on 14 December 1995. Peace negotiations were held in Dayton, Ohio, and were finalized on 21 December 1995. The accords are now known as the Dayton Agreement. A 1995 report by the Central Intelligence Agency found that Bosnian Serb forces were responsible for 90% of the war crimes committed during the conflict. As of early 2008, the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia had convicted 45 Serbs, 12 Croats and 4 Bosniaks of war crimes in connection with the war in Bosnia. The most recent figures suggest that around 100,000 people were killed during the war. In addition, an estimated total of 20,000 to 50,000 women were raped, and over 2.2 million people were displaced, making it the most devastating conflict in Europe since the end of World War II.
