It's back with a vengeance. I forgot how much fun this deck is. Got hit so badly after the whole Dragon Ruler incident, banned Stream, limited Tidal, limited Diva, limited Dragoons... the hit was real. But now we have Prince and all our inconsistency problems have magically been solved. Somewhat. And most likely only for a short while because that guy is going to get hit like no tomorrow. Now, hypothetically speaking, this deck can take on almost any situation. It has all the cards to deal with anything it's weak against, for example: -Vanity, Macro and Skill Drain - Ice Edge and Lost Blue Breaker -Djinn Nekroz - Atlantean Infantry -Dark Law, Cyber Dragon Infinity - Tidal, Nekroz Unicore and so on. Only problem is getting the right cards, which requires a bit of luck. Now, that probably wouldn't be that much of a problem, if only Tidal were not limited, because the deck now relies on having the opponent destroy either Skreech or Nimble Sunfish by battle. But whatever. For the card choices, Dragon Ice deserves a shout out. It's such a good tech, allowing me to activate Infantry on my opponent's turn more easily to kill whatever ghastly thing they just spammed out. Amazing. I also decided to include Mermails in this build simply because they make rank 7s and 4s more possible, serve as floaters, and because Pike and Turge are so good. Pike searches either your Ice Edge or Lost Blue Breaker to deal with any backrow and Turge adds back your Infantrys and Diva. Abusing that Diva is so important. And Nekroz because style points. No, they're actually really good. I was hesitant about them at first, because screw pendulums, but Zefra Saber acts as a Ritual Spell while still being a monster so it synergises perfectly with the deck. Originally, Brio and Valk were stuck into the side deck because this deck is particularly vulnerable on the opponent's turn (with the whole lack of Traps and whatnot), so Valk was good for stopping OTKs. But, in the end, I sucked up and threw Saber in there. And a Trish, because style points for getting a completely random and unexpected Trish out. Other than that, the deck is pretty much the same. The previous build before the hit was actually a 60 card deck, due to how well it actually worked, so I had to take a lot of techs out. You'll find most in the side deck of the video but ones not included are: -Fog King - rank 7 material -Sea Lancer - to get back banished stuff (though this stops Treeborn) -Mother Grizzly - to summon out Sea Lancer or Rage of the Deep Sea more easily -Gishki Shellfish - I was always a bit meh about this, but it can be useful to topdeck certain cards -Penguin Archetype - should be self explanatory -Frog Archetype - also self explanatory -Shock Troops of the Ice Barrier - anti Water decks and can be searched by itself or Pike -Atlantean Attack Squad - easy beatstick or rank 3 material -Imairuka - some extra draw power or mill and doesn't care if it's destroyed by battle or effect -Leo, Keeper of the Sacred Tree - good first turn summon with Diva - Prince - Child Dragon -Herald of the Pure Light - Good enough to have a second copy -Gachi Gachi Gantetsu - alternative rank 2 option -Ghostrick Dullahan - an alternative rank 1 option And that's about it. For the record, yes, I could have stuck in an Abyss-sphere or any of the Abyss-Scales but I chose not to purely for the purpose of this video and the whole concept of a no Spell/Trap deck.
