Nigel Ravens: Welcome to the 20th century!
I dreamt a palace in the sky
It's silver doors were open wide
And though I longed to see within
I did not dare to go inside
For there were ravens circling all around
Ravens settling darkly to the ground
Staring wishing me away
'Til at last they saw I was not staying
I dreamt of children in a field
Their silver voices filled the sky
And though I longed to dance and play
I did not dare to even try
For there were ravens circling all around
Ravens screaming 'til the joy was drowned
Laughing as they beat their wings
'Til the children had to cease their singing
I dreamt a lover by a lake
His silver arms were open wide
And though i thought my heart would break
I did not sit down by his side
For there were ravens circling in the air
Ravens casting shadows on his hair
Staring down from up above
Common fortune seeks us all
And slips our binding rings
We'll turn our heads and make us reel
We'll bare our arms as wings
Before our feet a feather drifts
Beyond us it will fall
'Cause time will bid and make us rise
Make ravens of us all
My love, he breathed the air of kings
Yet fell beneath his luck
And in his heart a yearning yet
Before his time, time shook
All the gifts that God had given
Owned by fate denied
Gone to where all treasures laid
And where the raven flies
Oh, there are places I agree
Where I'm yet to roam
The Egyptian field, the Arctic Sea
Where shadows haunt and moan
But none but sky I have to go
Should I return to thee
Gone to where the feather flies to eternity
But for a time I got more time till I a raven be
'Cause time will bid and make us rise
Make ravens of us all
And time will bid and make us fly
Make ravens of us all
And time will bid and make us fly
Two Black Birds
Flying To The North
On The Sky So High
I Can See
Like Black Arrows They Fly
Through The Clowds Of Sky
With Winds They Fly
Through The Sky
When I Have Spilled Enough
Blood Of My Enemies
I Will Follow Those Birds
Harbinger Birds
Those Birds With Black Eyes
And Black Feathers
From The Great Halls
Of Valhalla
Raven
Harbingers
They'll Lead Me To My Goal Of Destiny
Raven
Harbingers
I Go For The Battle
From Battle To Battle
Raven Harbingers
They'll Lead Me To My Destiny
I Wait For The Enter
The Gates Of Valhalla
Two Raven Harbingers Will
Lead Me Through Those Gates
When It's Time To Leave
My Weapons Behind
To Take My Helmet Off
To Leave My Armour
I Will Follow Those Birds
Through The Majestic Gates
After Final War
For Myself
On The Battlefields
I Fight Til Death
To Reach My Destiny
To Enter The Gates Of Valhalla
I Will Fight
Til My Time Has Come To Die
Then Those Ravens Will Hear
All of my candles have a deep and dark
Blood red coloured flame
They turn deeper and darker every day
Today every piece of my body has
Become flammable
You quiet me down
After you criticised me so many times
That it makes me wanna hang myself
You said that this was the broken hope
I would rather call it bleeeding love
Ravens! Let's get together!
It's time to have some fun, some madness.
Now! Let's fly together!
Violence, we need violence
The pigeons were so friendly
They set upon my shoulders
And whispered sweet chirps in my ear
Late last night, about a quarter to twelve
In the middle of an awful storm
I took fright at the terrible sight
Of a raven flying into my room
My blood ran cold, my heart stood still
As I pulled the covers over my head
A minute dragged by as I opened my eyes up
To find her at the end of my bed
Then she spoke in a devilish croak
About herself being one of a score
And I felt sick at the very idea
Of dealing with nineteen more
She said, ";look out your window";
I see a skyfull, I pull a rifle on them all.
Pink sunrise in the wintry skies
All warm on the wings of a dove
She sinks and lands on the back of my hand
And sings with the voice of love...
";Thoughts made flesh can be beautiful things
As I am one of the same,
Fed so well on the best of your dreams
And the beauty found within
But those black beasts that you see in the east
Are scratching on the orchard floor
At split, sweet fruits and the writhing worms
That you keep behind the straining door
Go to the cellar!
I see the beasts and they're eating
Feasting on it";.
Fill my head with small white flowers
Help the sweetness heal the sour
Draw on high religious power
