Her first leading role in a major film was in the cyber-thriller Hackers (1995). She starred in the critically acclaimed biographical television films George Wallace (1997) and Gia (1998), and won an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress for her performance in the drama Girl, Interrupted (1999).
A Zane Grey story is always a tip for a good hour of thrills and western romance. "The Water Hole" tells the story of the headstrong flirt who follows Randolph, the cowboy, to Arizona to "tame him" and is in turn tamed.
A new feature is involved in making "The Water Hole" a special. Scenes in natural colors lend to make the picture beautiful.
"Scenes in Natural Color"
a place that time forgot
i'm walking in a place forgotten
how did we make it out this far
you cannot tell me that im dreaming
this place is everything i want
i am here with you
i am not without
you take me away
but will you show me the way home
have my footsteps been buried
i know we will not soon forget this
even when we are far from here
this moment only lasts forever in our minds
but i know well be here again
i know i'll miss you in september
but sometimes things just come between
An old cowboy went riding out one dark and windy day
Upon a ridge he rested as he went along his way
When all at once a mighty herd of red-eyed cows he saw
Plowin' through the raging sky and up a cloudy draw
Their brands were still on fire and their hoofs were
made of steel
Their horns were black and shiny and their hot breath
they could feel
A bolt of fear went through him as they thundered
through the sky
He saw the riders comin' hard and he heard their
mournful cry
Yi-pi-yi-ay, yi-pi-yi-o
Ghost riders in the sky
Their faces gaunt, their eyes were blurred, their
shirts were soaked with sweat
He's ridin' hard to catch that herd but he ain't caught
them yet
'Cause they've got to ride forever in that range up in
the sky
On horses snortin' fire, as they ride on, hear their
cry
Yi-pi-yi-ay, yi-pi-yi-o
Ghost riders in the sky
Yi-pi-yi-ay, yi-pi-yi-o
Ghost riders in the sky
The riders rode on by him and he heard one call his
name.
"If you want to save your soul from hell a-riding on
our range,
Then cowboy change your ways today or with us you will
ride
Tryin' to catch this devil's herd
Across these endless skies."
Yippee-yi-ay, yippee-yi-o,
Ghost riders in the sky.
Yippee-yi-ay, yippee-yi-o,
Ghost riders in the sky.
Aquí desnudo por primera vez
así despierto, sin nada
espero el jugo de tu piel
como una gota de gracia
La veo cruzar por la arena
como una ola de calor
destrozando con pasión
el hilo fino de la táctica
De cada atajo, un clavel
nace y vuelvo a buscarte
con el silencio a tu favor
esperando ser verdad
a place that time forgot
i'm walking in a place forgotten
how did we make it out this far
you cannot tell me that im dreaming
this place is everything i want
i am here with you
i am not without
you take me away
but will you show me the way home
have my footsteps been buried
i know we will not soon forget this
even when we are far from here
this moment only lasts forever in our minds
but i know well be here again
