Camp is a 2003 independent musical film written and directed by Todd Graff, about an upstate New York performing arts summer camp. The film is based on Graff's own experiences at a similar camp called Stagedoor Manor.
The film centers on the experiences of several teenagers at Camp Ovation, a summer theatre camp. The campers are a mishmash of youngsters from different backgrounds and dealing with different issues, but all feel most comfortable while performing. School is out, and the campers reunite as they prepare to board the buses to Camp Ovation. Shy, self-conscious Ellen Lucas happily greets her friends, recovering from an embarrassing situation where she desperately tried to land a prom date, and ended up asking her brother. Nerdy Fritzi Wagner attempts to befriend icy diva Jill Simmons, but ends up toting her luggage instead. Returning camper Jenna Malloran laments that her parents forced her to have her jaw wired shut in order to lose weight. Upon arrival to Camp Ovation, the kids settle in. Ellen converses with her friend Michael Flores, a gay teenager who was violently beaten by his classmates after showing up to his junior prom in drag. The campers are struck dumb with the arrival of Vlad Baumann, a handsome new camper who is, as a staff member marvels, "an honest-to-god straight boy."
Plot
This is the story of the beautiful young Pervirella. Set in the mythical English land of Condon, the grotesque, power-mad Queen Victoria builds a wall around the country and establishes a "Monarchy of Terror." Intellectuals and "pervs" are prosecuted and killed, or driven underground to form the "Cult of Perv." Their leader, the Demon Nanny gives birth to a possible savior, then dies. The infant Pervirella grows to maturity with supernatural speed and shows amazing abilities, including raging nymphomania whenever her magical necklace is removed. Pervirella is sought by various rebels, agents of Victoria, the Cult of Perv, and a trio of witches. Eventually she teams up with Amicus Reilly, a James Bond spoof played to stiff, campy perfection by the late David Warbeck. Wild adventures ensue!

Plot
Based on a true story, this made-for-cable film tells about Barry Seal, a pilot who was a drug smuggler for the infamous Medellin cartel out of Colombia. He was caught by the US Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) and decided to turn over and help the DEA break the cartel. However, he got caught in the middle of the Reagan/Bush administration efforts to topple the Nicaraguan government in the '80s, in which Nicaraguan rebels called "contras" were allowed to smuggle cocaine into the US in exchange for their fighting against the leftist Nicaraguan government. Eventually Seal was murdered by his former Medellin employers, and some critics say it was with the tacit, if not implicit, connivance of the US administration.

Plot
Based on the fact-based novel by Nazi-hunter Simon Wiesenthal based on his 1962 prosecution of the head of a Polish factory whom he learns was a murderous labor camp commandant. To be able to take him to justice, he must find witnesses who can help him. This leads him to Max Rosenberg, a still tormented individual who lost his wife, Helen, in the camps. Initially Max refuses to cooperate, but gradually his story unfolds beginning before the Holocaust.

keep up with me, keep up

fuck the fussing and fighting and arguing to this and that
and “why you bein' mean to me donald?” i never texted back
i know it's comin' quick, wishin' i could fast forward
tell these nice girls they're the reason that i'm an asshole
omega to alpha male because of that dollar bill
when i worked the mail room i ain't have a shot in hell
i called her ass for two months and heard shit from her
these girls couldn't care less when the chips under
the chips are up and on my shoulder, you heard me?
i take it out on girls who don't even deserve it
the girls i tried to hit last year, i still might
karmas a bitch who doesn't suck, but i still like
if we were kids i had the black k-swiss and reebok
if we were kids i wouldn't act like this but we not

[verse 2]

i'm a proud man
they wanna holla when they see your name on soundscan
her name mercedes but she push a brown focus
and she's doing coke in front of me, but act like i don't notice
“there any breakage in that trojan?”
she see what she wanna see
so i make her take plan b in front of me
women talk shit on men like all day
but it's pete wentz, goes both ways
they too busy stabbing hoes like oj
they too busy trapping pros like kobe
the only thing i put before me is do re
if you had told me the truth we'd be ok

Camp
Matt Caplan
Sometimes
Sometimes we learn the hard way
Sometimes I like being lonely
I spend half my days staring out windows
Asking myself when will I?
How could I?
But it feels like camp today
It feels like I'm at camp today
Sometimes
Sometimes we pray for disaster
Sometimes I love her too much
Throw all my thoughts wherever she goes
Asking my thoughts how would she?
How could she?
But it feels like camp today
It feels like I'm at camp today
And I do, and I do, and I do And I do
Understand, understand
And I do understand
But it feels like camp today
It feels like I'm at camp today
It's turkey lurkey time
Tom turkey ran away, but he just came home
It's turkey lurkey time
He's really home to stay, never one to roam
Let's make a wish, and may all our wishes come true.......
A snowy, blowy christmas, a mistletoey christmas
A turkey lurkey christmas to you...
A turkey lurkey christmas to you
It's loosey goosey time
She was a gadabout, but she's back again
It's loosey goosey time
Her time is running out, and we all know when
Let's make a wish, and may all our wishes come true....
A snowy, blowy christmas, a mistletoey christmas
A loosey goosey christmas to you...
A loosey goosey christmas to you
Turkey lurkey, loosey goosey
Some for uncle joe, some for cousin lucy
Everybody gather round the table
Dig in, dinner is being served
Eat all the turkey you are able
Can't you see a partridge in a pear tree?
Climb up and bring it down for me
That's something i would like to see
A snowy, blowy christmas, a mistletoey christmas
A turkey lurkey christmas to you......
I met a boy called Charlie Charlie
On the 4th of September last year
He was 21 and once a teenage star
So sweeten the way he appeared
In the way he appeared
Charlie Charlie
He was a trip into
The wild and the free
Got high on drinks and me
In rock'n roll dreams
We share the days and nights
Till one morning
He showed me
I fell in love with Charlie Charlie
It felt like the right thing to do
With his careless, charmed
And his jaded eyes
I know you would have fall in, too
You would have fall in, too
Charlie Charlie
He was a trip into
The wild and the free
Got high on drinks and me
In rock'n roll dreams
We share the days and nights
Till one morning
He showed me
Charlie Charlie
When for I'm and
At the end of the street
They stole my heart
But if you happen to meet
You tell him I don't want
The morning that he owes me
I just wanna know
What went through him
Cause I could never know
He don't know
I thought I knew him
Charlie Charlie
What are you doing to me
Charlie Charlie
He's got my credit card
And has something seen
He stole my heart
But if you happen to meet
Can tell him I don't want the morning
Outside my house is a cactus plant
they call the century tree
Only once in a hundred years
it flowers gracefully
and you never know when it will bloom
CHORUS:
Hey, do you wanna come out
and play the game?
it's never too late (2x)
Clementine Hunter was fifty-four
before she packed up the pain
Old Uncle Taylor was eighty-one
when he rode his bike
across the plains of China (uh-huh)
And the sun was shining on that day
just like today
CHORUS:
Do you wanna come out
and play the game?
it's never too late
Hey, do you wanna come out
and play the game?
it's never too late
Didn't know how to tell her
for all the thirty years
kept locked up inside himself
and no one saw the tears
and then she went away
and he woke up that day
now he brings roses to his sweetheart
she lives most anywhere
he sees someone suffering
he knows that despair
he offers them a rose
and some quiet prose
'bout dancin' in a shimmering ballroom
'cause you never know when
it will bloom
CHORUS:
Hey, do you wanna come out
and play the game?
They said you wouldn't make it so far aah aah
And ever since they've said it its been hard
But never mind that night you had to cry
Cause you had never let it go inside
You worked real hard and you know exactly what you want and need so believe
And you can never give up
You can reach your goals
Just talk to your soul and say
[Chorus:]
I believe i can (I can)
I believe i will (oh I will)
I believe i know my dreams are real (my dreams are real)
I believe i can (oh yeah)
I believe i will (oh yeah)
I believe i hold it soon man (that's why)
That is what i do believe (ooooh yeah)
Your fools are justes singing, your soul aah aah
And you know that your moves will let them show
You keep creating pictures in your mind
So just believe they will come true in time
It will be fine leave all of your cares and stress behind and
Just let it go
Let the music go inside against the pain
It just start to believe
[Chorus]
[Rap passage]
Never mind what people say
Hold your head high and turn away
With all my hopes and dreams I will believe
Even though it seems it's not for me
I won't give up, i'll keep it up
Looking to the sky
I will achieve on my knees
I will always believe
All:
Father, sister
Verse 1:
Father sister, dearest voices
I have found you, and I don't know how
Father sister, I hear your voices
But am I dreaming, or are you here right now
Can you tell me.
Chorus:
How shall I see you through my tears
(Please tell me)
How shall I see you through my tears
(I need to know)
How shall I see you through my tears
Verse 2:
Father, sister, the gods have spoken
I bring a promise, a holy vow
A world that casts you out forgives you
And those who blame you sing your praises now
Won't you tell me
Chorus 2:
How shall I see you through my tears
How shall I see you through my tears
How shall I see you through my tears
Bridge:
Destiny brings you back to me
(solo) Child I'm so glad I'm here, there's hope for me, this prophecy
(group) Destiny brings you back to me
(solo) A world that casts you out may forgive you now
(group) Destiny brings you back to me
(solo) I've been waiting for a sign to ease my troubled mind
(group) oohs, aahs
Chorus:
How shall I see you through my tears
How shall I see you through my tears
How shall I see you through my tears
(solo) Can you see my tears of sadness
(group) How shall I see you through my tears
(solo) Won't you turn them into tears of gladness
(group) How shall I see you through my tears
tears
tears
I've been wrong
I had plans so big
But the devil's in the details
I left out one thing
No one to love me
And no one to love
For the want of a nail (the world was lost)
For the want of a nail (the world was lost)
For the want of a nail (the world was lost)
For the want of a nail (the world was lost)
For the want of a nail, the shoe was lost
For the want of a shoe, the horse was lost
For the want of a horse, the rider was lost
For the want of a rider, the message was lost
For the want of a rider, the message was lost
For the want of a message, the battle was lost
For the want of a battle, the war was lost
For the want of a war, the kingdom was lost
What's all this talk about horses and war?
Put yourself in the place of the man at the forge
And day after day you live a life without love
Til the morning you can't take it anymore
And you don't get up
Multiply it a billion times
Spread it all around the world
Put the curse of loneliness on every boy and every girl
Until everybody's kickin', everybody's scratchin'
Everything seems to fail,
In the morning and in the evening
When you think you’re alone
Too many hours in your apartment
Has made me hard a stone
I tried to crack you
I told you you’re the one
But you must have though that i was gone
I told you a lot of lies just to get laid
But your heart is hard as a stone
You’re a vicious but i’m a man
I’m gonna do what i can to remain hard as a stone
That little pigeon where did you find it?
I had to break her every bone
Eleven hours in your pool
No wonder i’m hard as a stone
She was delicious now i’m a star
If you wanna be what you are you better be hard as a stone
(the chorus)
You’re mean, but i’m a man
It’s not exactly what i planned but it seems i’m hard as a stone
Would you help me pack my bags?, I might be leaving
I need some sweet assistance while I’m stealing
Some of your time
I hope that’s fine
I got photographs of all you, all I’m needing
Forgiveness if I left you all believing
That I’m the one
‘cause I feel like none
and I need something to direct me to it
Chorus:
‘cause I’m a frequent flyer, notorious liar
but I can’t get close enough
I never get close
I can’t get close enough
I would love to tell my story from the ending
but the story is getting thin from heavy spending
and I need my man
and I need a friend
and I need someone to protect me from the rain
chorus
to the ending
I can’t get close enough ah ahhh
I can’t get close enough to the sun
I can’t get close enough
chorus
Good Times & Bad Times I've seen them all
& My Dear,
Im still Here.
Plush Velvet sometimes,
somtimes just pretezles & Beer,
But Im here
I got trough all of last year
& Im here
Lord Knows atleast I was there
And Im here.
Look Who's Here
I caught you smiling
with pointed teeth
what once was beautiful
has turned bitter and cheap
So now there´s nothing I can do for you
but leave your roses out to die
I misbehaved
I´m in your way
in your way like an elephant
Gentle smiling
with pointed teeth
now there´s a war between
my high hopes and me
So this is how you put an end to things
by cutting throats with a smile
I misbehaved
I´m in your way
in youre way like an elephant
But in the corner of my mind
a little angel saying
"Don´t waste youre love,
I'm not here to harm you
So let me disarm you, you'll see what i mean
I'm yours for you already know me
Stay with me and show me the way to my dreams
Together we can live a life we know is real
We move silently through my room and make me feel
That love can be a place we never have to leave
Be strong, stay with me, never disappear
Deep in my heart i see clearly
We should be revealing our secrets today
Please, don't just stay there, i'm waiting
For the plans you've been making to take me away
Together we can live a life we know is real
We move silently through my room and make me feel
That love can be a place we never have to leave
Be strong, stay with me, never disappear
Together we can live a life we know is real
We move silently through my room and make me feel
That love can be a place we never have to leave
Be strong, stay with me, never disappear
Together we can live a life we know is real
We move silently through my room and make me feel
That love can be a place we never have to leave
Come on baby sing
Of the oddness of the lord
It's about time we sang
Of the strange ways of the lord
The oddness of the lord
The oddness of the lord
Come on baby sing
Of the oddness of the lord
The strange ways of the lord
The sacred and the curst
It's never getting better, no no no
It's only getting worse
Come on people sing
Of the oddness of the lord
Eveybody sing
Of the strange ways of the lord
The oddness of the lord, ah ah ah
The sacred and the curst
It's never getting better, no no no
It's only getting worse
It's never getting better, no no no

Baby brown
I think I need you now
to put me down
and help me lift me up
your shaking bones
in my telephone
no good for anyone
Baby brown
so you think you know me now
you tell me how
and show me everything
your wandering mind
and your restless kind
I want you here to make some sound
Oh, silent night
oh, holy night
Baby brown
now you're more than you mean to be
you're mean to me
you take away form me
my shaking bones
in your telephone
don't you hear that sound
oh, silent night
oh, holy night
oh, silent night
oh, there's a hole in the night
oh, silent night
oh, holy night
oh, silent night
The night is on the edge now
Hanging low against the tide
The world is at its best now
When the loveless ones collide
It’s a long night, a beautiful night
We're the first leftovers of the night
I think about the last times
And the people I had to hurt
I wonder why they couldn’t touch
And why they never gave it up
You weren’t hard to find
You didn’t run and hide
We were the first leftovers of the night
Hide of the night
The silence is a burden
When you don’t really wanna talk
I’m trying really hard now to set
Alight must sleepy heart
We made a pretty sight
It seems we found some pride
In being the first leftovers of the night
Of the night
And everything is alright now
Everything is alright now
Everything is alright
You’re not what I was after
But I’m happy with what I found
To dream of new beginnings
When the end is all around
I think you’re alright
You qualify
For being my supernova
It’s a gambling life
A lonely stride
But I think we’re the best leftovers of the night
Of the night
And everything is alright now
Everything is alright now
I danced for a while
and my moves would make you smile
oh, I loved you then
my dear chemical lover
You veiled me in your haze
like a puppet in your lace
amazing disgrace
from your silverspoon substance
You took me away
amde Monday a Saturday
you stained me with love
and left me in dirty laundry
but I left my ground for a minute
Your body in my veins
your power is what remains
you know I never had
such a bad, bad comedown
You took me away
made Monday a Saturday
you stained me with love
and left me in dirty laundry
but I left my ground for a minute
My, oh my
you took pride in my fuck-up
I've been cursed
and I've been hailed
I have blown it
and I've inhaled
but I never had
such a bad, bad comedown
such a bad, bad comedown
the lonesome texas sun was setting low
and in the rearview mirror i watched it go
i can still see the wind in her golden hair
i close my eyes for a moment, i'm still there
the bluest eyes in texas
are haunting me tonight
like the stars that filled the midnight sky
her memory fills my mind
(where did i go wrong)
did i wait too long
but can i make it right
the bluest eyes in texas
are haunting me tonight
another town another hotel room
another dream that ended way too soon
left me lonley waiting before the dawn
searching for the strenght to carry on
the bluest eyes in texas
are haunting me tonight
like the stars that filled the midnight sky
her memory fills my mind
(where did i go wrong)
did i wait too long
but can i make it right
the bluest eyes in texas
are hauntin me tonight
for every heart you break you pay the price
but i can't forget the tears in her blue eyes
the bluest eyes in texas
are haunting me tonight
like the stars that filled the midnight sky
her memory fills my mind
(where did i go wrong)
did i wait too long
but can i make it right
the bluest eyes in texas
are haunting me tonight
the bluest eyes in texas
are haunting me tonight
the bluest eyes
the bluest eyes
are haunting me
the bluest eyes
Talk: I'd Like To Purpose a Toast.
(Sing)
Here's To The Ladies Who Lunch,
Everybody laugh.
Lounging in their caftans & planning
a brunch, on their own behalf.
Off to the gym,
Then to a fitting, claiming they're fat.
And looking grim, 'cause they've been sitting,
Choosing a hat.
Talk: Does Anyone still wear a hat?
Ill drink to that.
And here's to the girls who stay smart,
Aren't they a gas?
Rushing to their classes in optical art,
Wishing it would pass.
Another long, exhausting day.
Another thousand dollars!
A matinee, a Pinter play!
Perhaps a piece, of Mahler's!
I'll drink to that!
And one for Mahler...
Here's to the Girl who just watch,
Aren't they the best?
When they get depressed it's a bottle of scotch,
Plus a little jest.
Another chance to disaprove,
Another brilliant zinger.
Another reason not to move,
Another vodka stinger.
AHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!
I'll Drink to that.
So heres to the girls on the go.
Everybody tries.
Look into their eyes & you'll see what they know.
Everybody dies.
A toast to that invincable bunch.
The dinasour surving the crunch.
Lets hear it for the ladies who lunch,
Everbody rise!
Rise!
Rise!
Rise!
Rise!
Rise!
Rise!
Rise!
Here's my prayer
I'm getting nowhere
I'm stepping up the stairs
But falling behind, ooh
I'm a one man show
That nobody knows
My body's sure knows
I'm wondering why
I can't go on singing this song
that the angels will not hear
The world is so old
From all that i stole
There is still a little love in here
a few things will last
I did it too fast
But i'm learning to cry
Don't be a stepping stone
Get it all out
Deliver it
Here's my weap
I'm digging too deep
I do believe in lies
As i got eveything to hide, ooh
I'm young, i'm old, i do as i'm told
Cut open unfold
But there's nothing insde
I can't go on singing this song
that the angels will not hear
The world is a hole
From all that i stole
But there is still a little love in here
a few things will last
i did it too fast
I'm learning to cry
each child, get dense real loud
hear his deliberate...(cry)
now I can't go on singing this song
that the angels will not hear
The world is a hole
From all that i stole
But there is so much love in here
a few things will last
I did it too fast
now i'm learning to cry
Don't be a stepping stone
Get it all out
Deliver it
Here's my plead
My never-ending repeat
I'm a circle, a cry baby
With no one to try
I'm a restless mad
infusiontly sad
but If somebody wants to kill me
Go ahead
a life of sanity and dignity
you know it takes two
and what's the use in being a millionaire
if I can't have you
I wanna buy you... a home
I'll pay your friends if you're feeling alone
the pain of losing a guy like you
it's a bigger cost than paying your dues
I can buy you oh yeah oh yeah
but I can't make you do what you don't
and I can hire you oh yeah oh yeah
but I can't make you love me
I can't make you
you say I never go for little
and I always need more
and you're a thousand dollar playboy
that I just can't afford
but I guess you got me oh oh
you got me hanging around for too long
I don't wanna stop it oh no oh no
I bought you a life and it's with me you belong
I can buy you oh yeah oh yeah
but I can't make you do what you don't
and I can hire you oh yeah oh yeah
but I can't make you love me
I can't make you care
so if I can't make you love me
if I can't make you care
what prize can take me there
in this world?
somebody told me cash is king
I didn't mean to force you oh no
but I bet you fortune it's with me you belong
and I can buy you oh yeah oh yeah
but I can't make you do what you don't
and i can hire you oh yeah oh yeah
but i can't make you love me
I can't make you care
I can't take you there
I sing for you
And only you
Where ever I go I find you
You’re in the sound of every hello
In everything I do
You’re the song I was destined to know
And I only sing for you
You went away
I should have known
You leave so many dreams behind you
Thought I’d be fine just being alone
I didn’t have a clue
But my heart had a mind of its own
And would only sing for you
You’re in the sound of rain
Clouds in a winter sky
In a thousand unsaid words
In a thousand crazy reasons why
You were meant to fly
So fly for me
And day by day
I’ll keep hoping your heart reminds you
Nothing but love can stand in our way
But love can see us through
Maybe that’s all I wanted to say
I will always sing for you
Try to remember
But my feelings
Can't know for sure
Tryin' to reach out
But it's gone
Lucky stars
In your eyes
I'm walking the cow
I really don't know
How i came here
I really don't know
Why i'm staying here
Oh, oh, oh, oh
I am walking (walking)
The cow
Try to point my finger
But the wind
Keeps blowing
Me around in circles
In circles
Lucky stars
In your eyes
I'm walking the cow
I really don't know
What i have to fear
I really don't know
What i have to care for
Oh, oh, oh, oh
I am walking
The cow
Lucky stars
Well, you know
And you go
When i'm alone i have no cause
To think about the sheet
We used to know
You made a snow
Well, you came
And you stayed
No one here to raise a toast
Be my guest
And i will be your host
To a rock n roll ghost
A rock n roll ghost
Well, you said:
"She's better off dead"
You think that i'm a ... lot of words
But i was much to young
And much too cool for words
Look at me not
No one here to raise a toast
Take me by the hand
And raise a toast
Oh, the rock n roll ghost
To a rock n roll ghost
We don't know untill we come
There's no one here to raise a toast
I look into the mirror and i see
The rock'n roll ghost
Why can't you just forget about algebra
It's all about you now
And all your talk of logic and formula
Could never help you now
Not anymore
'Cause you were always
On the run
From the darkness
In your heart
So you wear it
On the outside
Of your chest
I have taken the liberty
To tell your ghosts to go
Brighten with sunlight and simpathy
They promise not to show
For a while
'Cause you were always
The little boy
Who couldn't keep it
To yourself
So your heart
Is on the outside
Of your chest
At the speed of love
You moved inside my home
And nothing is alright
If you are still alone
And your heart
Is waiting that
The sound of you and everyone
Is still you're always on the wrong
From the poison in your love
And your heart
Is on the outside
Something's waching over me
There's someone in my house that i can't see
I've asked her many times to leave
She tells me she's not evil
In my hours of confidence
When feeling real and worthy of my friends
When i let go of my defence
She's waiting in a corner
Angel Of Sadness
Leave Me Alone
Save Me Some Hours
To Try On My Own
When The Music Is Over
The Silence Is On
You Know I Will Be Yours Alone
So Pick Me Up And Carry Me On
Life with her is getting hard
It's like i'm not the driver of my own car
I'm not the holder of my credit car
Oh Jesus, make me sober
Misery comes and lovers go
I lose myself and sometimes i don't know
She says "i've always told you so
but i'll stay with you forever"
Angel Of Sadness....
Angel Of Sadness
Angel Of Grief
Save Me Some Hours
So Please Can You Leave
When The Music Is Over
The Silence Is On
I'll Be Completely On My Own
But I'll Work It Out
Here in the dark
I stand before you
Knowing this is my chance to show you my heart
This is the start
This is the start
I have so much to say and I'm hopin'
That your arms are open
Don't turn away, I want you near me
But you have to hear me
Here's where I stand
Here's who I am
Love me, but don't tell me who I have to be
Here's who I am, I'm what you see
You said I had to change and I was tryin'
But my heart was lyin'
I'm not that child any longer
I am stronger
Here's where I stand
Here's who I am
Help me to move on but please don't tell me how
I'm on my way, I'm movin' now
In this life we've come so far
But we're only who we are
With the courage of love
To show us the way
We've got the power to stand up and say
Here's where I stand
Here's where I am
Stand up and be counted, I'm counting on you
If you're with me
We'll make it through
Here's where I stand
Here's who I am
Love me, love me, love me and we'll make it through
Here's where I stand
Baby, baby, baby I'm counting on you
Here's where I stand
Love me, love me, love me and we'll make it through
I'm counting
I'm counting
