Cardiovascular diseases remain the biggest cause of deaths worldwide, though over the last two decades, cardiovascular mortality rates have declined in many high-income countries. At the same time cardiovascular deaths and disease have increased at an astonishingly fast rate in low- and middle-income countries. Although cardiovascular disease usually affects older adults, the antecedants of cardiovascular disease, notably atherosclerosis begin in early life, making primary prevention efforts necessary from childhood. There is therefore increased emphasis on preventing atherosclerosis by modifying risk factors, such as healthy eating, exercise, and avoidance of smoking.

US Science Panel Endorses Aspirin for Cancer, heart health
The U.S. Preventive Services Task Force issued draft recommendations this week on the use of low-dose (81 mgm) aspirin for primary prevention of cardiovascular disease (CVD) and colorectal cancer (CRC) among adults aged 50-69 with an elevated risk of (but no prior history of) CVD, and for that same age group for prevention of CRC. However, the panel pointed out that the possible benefit for lowering one's risk of CRC only kicks in after 10 years of regular use.

Heart disease is the leading cause of death in the US. The good news is heart disease can be prevented, in most cases, by adopting an active lifestyle and following a heart healthy diet. Here are 4 simple changes you can make to be a little kinder to your heart:

Bad Effects of Sunflower Oil
Saturated Fat Content
Sunflower oil contains 14 percent saturated fat. While it isn't one of the oils highest in saturated fat, other oils, including almond, walnut, flaxseed, hazelnut and canola oils, are lower in saturated fat. Saturated fat is one of the less healthy types of fat because it can raise your cholesterol and your risk of heart disease.
Omega-6 Content
Polyunsaturated fats, which consist of omega-3 and omega-6 fats, are healthier choices than saturated fats. Most Americans, however, get way more omega-6 fats in their diet than omega-3 fats. Having a high omega-6 to omega-3 ratio may increase your risk of certain chronic dis

Following a strict diet plan to lose weight requires you to count every calorie you consume. Peanut oil has 45 calories per 1 tsp. serving, which can add up quickly if you don't measure your servings. If you're using it for cooking or drizzling it on your plate, measure it ahead of time to avoid consuming too many calories, decreasing your risk of weight gain. Peanut oil has a strong flavor, so you probably won't need to use much of it.
Effects of Fat
All of the calories in peanut oil come from fat, but the fats are good heart-healthy fats. Peanut oil is full of monounsaturated fat, which has several benefits when you consume it in place o

Cholesterol Levels: Unlike many other vegetable oils, peanut oil is actually free of any cholesterol, which is one of the major contributing factors to complicated heart conditions such as atherosclerosis, which is basically clogging of the arteries. Since cooking oil is used in many different ways, eliminating this dangerous cholesterol from your body can help prevent a variety of health complications. Furthermore, not only does peanut oil lack cholesterol, it can actually reduce your current levels of cholesterol due to the presence of plant sterols. These phytosterols actually compete for cholesterol absorption in the stomach and gut, whic

A groundbreaking book showing the link between Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) and adult illnesses such as heart disease, autoimmune disease, and cancer—Childhood Disrupted also explains how to cope with these emotional traumas and even heal from them. Your biography becomes your biology. The emotional trauma we suffer as children not only shapes our emotional lives as adults, it also affects our physical health, longevity, and overall wellbeing. Scientists now know on a bio-chemical level exactly how parents’ chronic fights, divorce, death in the family, being bullied or hazed, and growing up with a hypercritical, alcoholic, or mentally ill parent can leave permanent, physical “fingerprints” on our brains. When we as children encounter sudden or chronic adversity, excessive stress hormones cause powerful changes in the body, altering our body chemistry. The developing immune system and brain react to this chemical barrage by permanently resetting our stress response to “high,” which in turn can have a devastating impact on our mental and physical health. Donna Jackson Nakazawa shares stories from people who have recognized and overcome their adverse experiences, shows why some children are more immune to stress than others, and explains why women are at particular risk. Groundbreaking in its research, inspiring in its clarity, Childhood Disrupted explains how you can reset your biology—and help your loved ones find ways to heal.

You often hear vague claims in the news that "sugar is bad for you" or that "wheat and gluten are bad for you", but do you truly understand what these foods do to your insides?
Most people DON'T understand the reasons... and the fact is that some of the foods I listed in the article title above can not only DESTROY your hormones and metabolism, but may also CAUSE you to get heart disease, type 2 diabetes, Alzheimers, and even cancer.
Not only that, but as you'll see below, there's a common plant-based food that you probably eat in restaurants frequently (I bet you ate this at least ONCE in the last week), and this common plant food is proven to CAUSE heart attacks! You'll see what I mean as you read the article below.
We'll also show you exactly what you need to understand to eat in a way that BOOSTS your metabolism, balances hormones, PREVENTS heart attacks, STOPS cancer from forming in your body, and assures that you NEVER get type 2 diabetes, regardless of your "bad genetics".

Previous medical studies have linked Vitamin D deficiency to osteoporosis, cancer, muscle weakness, heart disease and even asthma in children. A newly conducted study has found a correlation between vitamin D deficiency and onset of dementia and Alzheimer's disease. The debilitating cognitive function ailments are expected to rise among the adult population worldwide as current medical research has limited or no treatment for the condition.

Having a high omega-6 to omega-3 ratio may increase your risk of certain chronic diseases, including arthritis, asthma, cancer and heart disease, according to an article published in Experimental Biology and Medicine in June 2008. Sunflower oil contains 7 percent polyunsaturated fats, all of which consist of omega-6 fats. If you use sunflower oil, make sure to eat plenty of omega-3-rich foods as well, such as seafood, flax and walnuts.
As with any food, get too much sunflower oil in your diet and you could set yourself up for weight gain. Like other fats, sunflower oil contains 9 calories per gram, meaning each tablespoon has 124 calories. Although sunflower oil contains mostly healthy monounsaturated fats, you'll still want to use it in moderation, keeping your total fat intake to no more than 35 percent of calories and your saturated fat intake to no more than 10 percent of calories each day.
Best Type of Sunflower Oil
Avoid hydrogenated or partially hydrogenated sunflower oils, as these contain the least healthy type of fat -- trans fats. Trans fats increase your risk of cancer, heart disease and other health problems. You should look for high-oleic versions of sunflower oil instead, as these contain more of the heart-healthy monounsaturated fats.

All of the calories in peanut oil come from fat, but the fats are good heart-healthy fats. Peanut oil is full of monounsaturated fat, which has several benefits when you consume it in place of "bad" trans and saturated fats. Monounsaturated fats, or MUFAs, can help improve your blood cholesterol, thus decreasing your risk of heart disease, explains the Mayo Clinic. This good fat may also help stabilize your blood sugar levels,
Allergic Reaction
One of the negative effects of peanut oil is that peanuts are a highly allergenic food. Having a peanut allergy can cause a rash, swelling in your throat and difficulty breathing, just by being exposed to the smallest amount. If you have a peanut allergy, ensure that the food you eat when you order out is not cooked in peanut oil. Refined peanut oil may not affect your peanut allergy since the highly allergenic proteins are removed during processing, the Peanut Institute reports. Check with your physician before using peanut oil if you have a peanut allergy.
Antioxidant Effects
Peanut oil is rich in vitamin E, which acts like a powerful antioxidant in your body. During normal metabolism or exposure to carcinogens through smoke, free radicals form in your system. Free radicals travel in your blood and scavenge through your body, reacting with healthy cells. This leads to increased oxidative stress, upping your risk of chronic diseases, including cancer, dementia, diabetes and heart disease. Vitamin E from peanut oil helps ward off free radicals before they cause damage, decreasing your risk of chronic illness

These phytosterols actually compete for cholesterol absorption in the stomach and gut, which can lower your cholesterol levels by 10-15%!
Heart Health: Lowering your chances of atherosclerosis, as explained above, can reduce your chances of heart attacks and strokes. However, peanut oil also contains monounsaturated fatty acids, like oleic acid, which increase the levels of “good cholesterol”, called HDL, in the blood. This beneficial cholesterol actually helps to scrape off and reduce bad cholesterol (LDL) and lower your chances of coronary heart disease and strokes.
Cancer Prevention: Peanut oil also has high levels of polyphenol antioxidants, including resveratrol. This compound works to eliminate free radicals, which are the dangerous byproducts of cellular metabolism that are responsible for a huge range of diseases in the body, including cancer. Studies have shown that switching to a vegetable oil high in resveratrol, like peanut oil, can decrease your chances of developing cancer thanks to this powerful antioxidant.
Blood Pressure: Resveratrol has another important function in the body. It interacts with various hormones in the body that affect blood vessels, like angiotensin, which constricts vessels and arteries. By neutralizing the effects of that hormone, resveratrol helps to decrease blood pressure, which reduces stress on the cardiovascular system.
Cognitive Boost: Alzheimer’s disease is one of the most widespread and tragic conditions that affect people as they get older, but resveratrol, that multi-functional antioxidant, has also been shown to eliminate or slow the onset of cognitive disorders like Alzheimer’s disease and dementia. Free radicals are responsible for the breakdown of neural pathways in the brain, so antioxidants like resveratrol can slow or stop that process very effectively.
peanutoilinfoSkin Health: Peanut oil, like many vegetable oils, is quite rich in vitamin E, which is an essential vitamin for human beings. It is particularly important in the maintenance and health of the skin, protecting it from the effects of free radicals that cause wrinkles, blemishes, and other signs of premature aging. The vitamin E in peanut oil will keep your skin looking young and healthy as you get older.
Immune System: A final benefit of the impressive levels of resveratrol in peanut oil is the improvement of your immune system. Viral and fungal infections are particularly susceptible to this antioxidant, so adding peanut oil to your diet can keep you healthy in yet another way, by stimulating your white blood cell production to fend off any foreign agents in your body.
A Final Word of Warning: Although the types of fatty acids in peanut oil are generally beneficial, they are only healthy in moderate amounts. Remember, they are still technically fats, and therefore are high in calories. Don’t go overboard when cooking with peanut oil, as it can lead to weight gain. Obesity has a whole range of associated health risks, so be careful and enjoy your meals responsibly!

New study proves atherosclerosis is early form of scurvy
Scientists at the Dr. Rath Research Institute in California have published a groundbreaking study in the American Journal of Cardiovascular Disease proving that heart disease is an early form of the vitamin C deficiency disease scurvy. Building on a discovery made by Dr. Matthias Rath in the early 1990s, this publication deals a major blow to the cholesterol theory of heart disease and the pharmaceutical industry’s associated $30 billion annual sales in patented cholesterol-lowering statin drugs.

Heart disease is a problem of modern times.Improper lifestyle, faulty diet and negative thinking play an important part in triggering heart disease. Vedic wisdom in Yoga lays emphasis on four aspects that have a direct bearing on health - Aachaar, Vichaar, Vyavahaar and Aahaar. Any imbalance in any of these four aspects proves detrimental to our health. Mental relaxation through meditation and Yoga contributes immensely in offsetting arteriosclerosis.

PRESS RELEASE: End of heart disease now possible –
