Caracas (Spanish pronunciation: [kaˈɾakas]), officially Santiago de León de Caracas, is the capital and largest city of Venezuela; natives or residents are known as Caraquenians in English (Spanish: Caraqueños).
Caracas is located in the northern part of the country, following the contours of the narrow Caracas Valley on the Venezuelan coastal mountain range (Cordillera de la Costa). Terrain suitable for building lies between 760 and 910 m (2,493.44 and 2,985.56 ft) above sea level. The valley is close to the Caribbean Sea, separated from the coast by a steep 2200 m (7400 ft) high mountain range, Cerro Ávila; to the south there are more hills and mountains.
El Distrito Metropolitano de Caracas (Metropolitan District of Caracas) includes the Distrito Capital (the capital city proper) and four other municipalities in Miranda State: Chacao, Baruta, Sucre, and El Hatillo. The Distrito Capital had a population of 2,097,350 as of 2009, while that of Distrito Metropolitano was estimated at 4,196,514 as of (2008).

José Luis Rodríguez (born February 21, 1951) is a Mexican Luchador Enmascarado (masked professional wrestler) who wrestles under the ring name Dos Caras (Spanish for Two faces). Dos Caras' most active years were in the 1970s and 80s, and achieved his greatest success in Mexico's Universal Wrestling Alliance (UWA) winning the UWA World Heavyweight Championship three times. He has been called "the greatest heavyweight ever to come out of Mexico".
Rodríguez made his debut on January 6, 1970 at the age of 18 after training under Rafael Salamanca and Gory Medina. He adopted the ring name Dos Caras upon his debut, wearing a colorful mask with a figure of a two headed eagle on it to reflect his name. Rodríguez later stated that the name and mask was not inspired by the Two-Face comic book character but as a "two faced cheater" character (called a Rudo or Heel in pro wrestling). Through connections with his older brother who had been wrestling as Mil Mascaras for some years when Dos Caras made his debut he quickly landed a regular job with the professional wrestling promotion Empresa Mexicana de la Lucha Libre (EMLL), the world's oldest and Mexico's largest promotion. In the early years he often teamed with another brother who wrestles under the name Sicodélico in low card matches while gaining experience.

I believe it is doorman discretion, which means, dress your best and don't travel with a bunch of dudes. You get an amazing view of the sun setting over the Hudson River and you get to splash around in the pool if you so choose. I chose this spot because I used to work here and loved it!

This is a non-denominal church and people from all over the world come here for the amazing sermons and not to mention the interior. This Church is a converted theatre and a must see. I will do more in depth videos on neighborhoods like Harlem, Brooklyn, Lower East Side which will include shopping, entertainment, eating, all that :) But for now I hope you find this helpful and excited about exploring NYC. Venezuela is a land of beauty and contrast, a country that contains several unique habitats and is one of the last great natural paradises on Earth. It is also home to the legendary Orinoco, the second largest river in South America that also forms a natural border with Columbia. From Puerto Ayacucho we journey to the remote regions of the State Of Amazonas, the country’s most southerly province. Extending for one hundred and eighty thousand square kilometres and with only a hundred thousand inhabitants it is one of the most sparsely populated areas in Venezuela. A short journey by motorboat takes us to the headwaters of the Rio Ventuari. Because the route leads through an extensive maze of canals it is important that this leg of the journey be taken with an experienced guide who is well versed with the local geography. Following a three hour journey on various tributaries of the Orinoco we arrive at the small village of the Makiritare Indians. The natural variety of the underground world of the Los Roques Archipelago manifests itself in the diversity of the numerous coral reefs that grow there. Apart from a particular fire coral each one of them belongs to a single species that is known as the ‘flower animal’. East of the Venezuelan Andes, in the vast plains of the Llanos, the scenery is entirely different. It is almost reminiscent of America’s Old Wild West. The Llaneros is South America’s version of the legendary cowboy and the use of the Llanos as pasture land was introduced in the eighteenth century and covers a third of Venezuela. It is believed that a number of Andalucian families moved into the plains in 1548 as they were more interested in agriculture and cattle breeding than the Conquistadores who sought only gold. There is almost no other country in the world that contains so many diverse and fascinating landscapes as Venezuela, the land of the Indios and Llaneros and a land full of outstanding cultural contrast and natural splendour.

shaped thatched housed painted with happy colors all over the island. Actually, these kinds of buildings are only typical in Santana and its immediate surroundings.

The steep rocky slopes became a wide plateau at Santana. The terrace fields here are very suitable for vegetable and fruit growing and also a lot of willows are planted here. The twigs cut from them during spring are used for basket weaving. Tourist may believe that they'll see small triangle shaped thatched housed painted with happy colors all over the island. Actually these kinds of buildings are only typical in Santana and its immediate surroundings. The local authorities try to protect this small houses scattered about.
Some of them are already just for tourist purposes with small exhibitions or souvenir shops inside but some are still inhabited. As only boards and weeds are used as constructions materials, there's no bathroom in the house or any kitchen in order to avoid fires. Nowadays these facilities are located in a big tradition to the house. Traditionally the living room and the parental bedroom used to be on the ground floor while the children's rooms were upstairs. Considering the sizes, its not surprising that today, only lonely old people live in this huts. However in the vineyards above Santana these are also used as wine press houses or as weekend houses.
The Casa de Como is used to be homes for the poor, well to do people lived in simple houses. We can see many well houses of this kind even today above the Saint Laurence Fortress and in the old town. The really rich, especially the sugar barons, land owners and vineyard owners live on their property in noble houses arranged around a central court. Interestingly, these are quite similar to the luxurious palaces of the Latin American Sugar barons. Fountains often cooled the shady family in the courtyards, the common premises, the living room, library, music hall and dining hall open from here while from the gallery running around the first floor, the luxuries furnished rooms of the family members could be reached.
Some of these noble lodges called Quintal have been transformed into hotels in our days. The former public buildings represent two styles, the Manuel and the Baroque. The 15th Century when King Manuel the first came into the throne, a new architectural style formed all over Portugal. This was the version of the Gothic in which the most bearing feature was richly huge stone ornamentations. The themes, as they can bee seen in the churches in Lisbon and Agaves, were boating, discoveries and exotic sea creatures. Into this time and also later in constructing churches and public buildings carved wooden roofs and tile decorations of Moorish origin were very typical.
The similar way of exaggerated decorative Baroque followed the manual style. This is especially evident on the gold leaf covered main and inside in the churches and in the facades of the many municipal public buildings. The typical furniture on the island and in the 17th century was made of sugar crates. The sugar loving came from Brazil and was packed in reddish brown, leather hard mahogany boxes. The people on Madeira liked this kind of crates so much that they asked the local masters to make furniture from them. Decorated with rod iron straps and mosaics, today an old piece can cost a fortune. The mountains on Madeira are higher than 1,500—1,600 meters providing a good opportunity for para-gliding to see the best meeting panorama from a birds eye view.
Pico de Aurero, Poca de Neva, Pico de Aussies and Pau de Cera is suitable starting points for this sport as these peaks can be approached by car. The Camacha built on a plateau is famous for several things, the tower on the café on the main square looks like Big Ben in London and this is no coincidence. The English sportsman had the house built, there's a memorial plaque on its wall that the first football game in the island was played in 1975 while this English gentleman was the referee. From the tower and from the New Cap Tower next to it we can have a view all the way to the ocean, above the forest of terrace cultivated bay and eucalyptus trees.
