The 17th/18th-century château. Built by François Trudaine as part of a great estate sold to the nation in 1795. Much of the grounds still exist. The entrance and the ground-floor were severely damaged in a fire in 1946. Constructed in red brick and sandstone on a rectangular plan, it has a mansard style roof. The water feature is in its original shape. The château and its domain constitute an interesting example of châteaux of the late 17th century in the region.

While living in Madrid, Spain and working on an M.A. in Spanish literature, she met many folk musicians from the U.K. and Spain, who influenced her songwriting, while performing in open mic circuit in 2012. There she began to write the songs that would eventually become her first self-produced album “Cold Bed”. It is a blend of folk and blues with some Latin influences mixed in.

How many times have you heard others say you are good at what you do but "don´t quit your day job"? Or have you heard, "You have made something good, but it does not follow the rules of the trade (standards)?" Vivian will share a brief musical journey on how the need to express my joys and sorrows gave her permission to assuage doubts and fears. It led her to express my personal truth, regardless of form, structure and genre.
Vivian Garcia is Chicagoan born to Cuban parents. She began singing boleros, and rumba flamenca covers in Chicago in 1999 with local groups and made the bold move to live in Granada, Spain to study flamenco guitar at the Escuela Carmen de Las Cueva.
While living in Madrid, Spain and working on an M.A. in Spanish literature, she met many folk musicians from the U.K. and Spain, who influenced her songwriting, while performing in open mic circuit in 2012. There she began to write the songs that would eventually become her first self-produced album “Cold Bed”. It is a blend of folk and blues with some Latin influences mixed in.
