Trustus: Do you cuss on your records?::Albert: Yeah.::Trustus: Do you defile women with your lyrics?::Albert: Yeah.::Trustus: Do you fondle your genitalia on stage?::Albert: Whenever possible.::Trustus: Do you glorify violence or advocate the use of guns as a way of solving a simple dispute?::CB4: [pull out guns]::Trustus: Ok! Ok! Final question. Do you guys respect anything at all?::CB4: Not a goddamn thing.::Trustus: You got a deal.
Albert: Man, she ain't nuttin' but a groupie with a pen.::Eve: I hear a pen is all you have in your pants and it's already out of ink.
Video Set Dancer: MC Gusto, you gotta help me get my revenge. It's one thing that they killed him on the toilet but they could've wiped his ass. They didn't have to leave him there like that. That's cold-blooded. They gots to pay. They... got... to... pay!
Euripides: Did you know a black man invented ice cream?::Albert: No, no, no. Now how the hell a black man gonna invent ice cream in hot-ass Africa? Tell me that!
Grandma: Shut up girl. You just think you so smart 'cuz you can read.
Albert Sr.: You ain't tough. There are real some kids out there that are going to kick your narrow ass. You ain't from the street, I'm from the street. And only somebody who wasn't would think it was something to glorify.

Alcestis is the earliest surviving play by the Ancient Greek writer Euripides. Originally produced in 438 B.C. in Athens, the play stands ambiguously between comedy and tragedy. It has a happy ending, as some ancient tragedies did. Certain elements, such as the drunkenness of Heracles and the wrestling-match with Thanatos, are clearly comic. Yet the speeches and emotions of the central characters are deeply serious, and the play takes as its central theme the tragic limitations of human life and love.

Electra by EURIPIDES (484 BC - 406 BC), translated by Gilbert MURRAY (1866 - 1957)
Electra (the Unmated One) is eaten up with hatred of her mother Clytemnestra and stepfather Aegisthus for their murder of her father Agamemnon. Married platonically to a good-hearted but poverty-stricken old peasant, she longs for the return of her brother Orestes to help her wreak vengeance. Orestes finally returns and together they carry out their fated work, but find the result to be as tragically meaningless as the lust for vengeance had been poisonous. Strikingly different from Sophocles, who wrote his “Electra” with full sympathy for the divine ordinance of revenge, Euripides squarely blames the God Apollo for putting an evil commandment on the shoulders of the siblings. He also shows the tragic ambiguity of the entire situation, pleading a strong, emotional case for Clytemnestra and showing her vulnerable motherliness at the moment of her death. Deeper, more human psychologically than Sophocles or Aeschylus, Euripides is compared with good reason in the translator’s introduction to modern playwrights such as Browning or Ibsen. (Expatriate)

This summer Ancient Drama finds a new home, a window to the world at Badminton Theater. Aspiring to approach the unequivocal material of ancient Greek dramaturgy, Badminton Theater presents Euripides Electra from June 12 through September 26, 2015.
Ancient Drama, a milestone of Greek cultural heritage, now has a permanent home during summer months. Together with the local community, visitors from all over the world will have the opportunity to absorb the tradition of Ancient Drama with performances in the heart of Athens.
The demand for a traditional production of high aesthetic value and quality to highlight Greek heritage to the wide audience of visitors to Athens during summer period has now been met with the “Ancient Drama Cycle” at Badminton Theater. It is a rare opportunity for both Greek and international audiences to experience Ancient Greek theater; the myths, the history, the ideals and the spirit of the cradle of civilization of Ancient Greece. Enhanced by translation titles and a program available in several foreign languages, Euripides Electra will be presented in the Greek language.
Under the expertise of the Greek director and academic, Professor Spyros A. Evaggelatos, with original text translation by K.X. Myris and set design by Yiorgos Patsas, the “Melina Merkouri Award” winner Marina Aslanoglou plays the role of Electra together with the highly acclaimed Reni Pittaki and Yannis Voglis and a cast of other renowned actors holding honors in theatrical performance.
Euripides’ Electra constitutes a profound study on the notions of revenge, guilt, repentance and justice; Electra and her brother are destined to kill their mother, Clytemnestra, in revenge for the murder of their father, Agamemnon. The plot centers on the unholy plan of the siblings and focuses on their emotional transitions. This work of Euripides was first noted in 413 B.C. introducing interesting narrative innovations. Its foundation lies primarily on the amazing delicacy in which the author dissects the psyche of the heroes making their ethical dilemmas even today, twenty five centuries later, seem vivid and compelling.
This summer join Badminton Theater as it embraces Ancient Drama, the quintessence of world theatre.

June 12 through September 26, 2015
With foreign language titles

Produced by Paul Leary of the Butthole Surfers and engineered by Stuart Sullivan. Most of this footage is from Sweatbox Studios, owned by Mike Vasquez, who was executive producer for this LP, where they demoed the songs for Mr. Leary. The other footage is from Arlyn studios during the tracking and mixing of the LP. Most of the songs were written and arranged by Dale Scott.
Unfortunately, the LP was never released and for the first time is now available to the public. I like calling it an LP.
