EXPAND and READ this description Vanuatu is a small chain of islands in the South Pacific not to far below the equator. In this village the village Chief talks about how their ancestors would kill, through strangulation, and eat people that commit crimes against them. This often happened during times when tribes were fighting or having wars. The natives quit head hunting when religion and western culture invaded the islands. Two of the chiefs showed us their village church. Here in a village of 10 or 20 people, they built a special hut for a church. They no longer eat people. Their society is just as civilized as your own, and may even be more civilized than what you consider acceptable. These are a very happy and relaxed people. I am amazed at how much dialogue this video has created. It has been educational for me to learn about the culture in Africa from users Armunaekti1 and DisposableName. Many of the comments question if I love or hate America. America is ONE of the best places to live on the planet, but a country that was founded on freedom is slowly losing it through minute regulations imposed by small groups of people. My Home Owners Association just passed a rule that kids can not play in the street. They passed the rule without the consent of the community, and then defended it as "protecting the children". They used fear to maintain the rule, and no one wants to fight a rule that is "to protect the children". The real reason behind the rule was that one of the committee members did not like the neighbors kids walking on their grass to retrieve their football. I post these videos to help inform you about what there is in the world. I had no idea what was out here till I left the states. You are probably the same way. Get out and see the world. Talk to your military friends who have lived in other countries and learn about how things are done there. Don't let your life revolve only around us, U.S., us. Learn what is good, and what is bad, about the rest of the world. Only then you will have a true appreciation for the freedom you have, and despise those who seek to take it away from you. Long live the freedom so many have fought for. Don't give it away NikTheCat

Jamala performing "Cross-Fire". Music produced by JB & recorded at Zoeanne Studios. Filmed at Beautiful Expressions of Nature (BEN) Art Studio. Video directed by Matthew Taiki. CROSS-FIRE LYRICS Verse 1 Yeah. Watch out. Watch out.Enemy come for the kill like a thief to steal and destroy ya. But the King came to give life in abundance to live and enjoy yeah.I aint looking at flesh. Woah. I’m redeemed and blessed. So. We tell it like it is to a love deficit world looking for da popular spit. Like blah.blah.blah. Life and death in the power of the tongue better learn respect. Never be a people pleaser. Faith without work is dead. It aint step by step. It’s faith to faith and glory to glory. Everyday when I run my race I be looking at Christ and the gospel story. To the captive nations. To the Christians living life too complacent. Like they wanna serve God but then they ashamed to be seen ina public places. Whatever your thoughts and plans. Forget it. We consider it foolish means. Like what? Vital necessities. Social status. World peace. Watch out. You in dat crossfire. God first or your desire. Put your life in His hands. Delight in His plan. Just lift that cross higher. Sound too farfetched. Well. What you expect. Religion is common sense. Nah. But then we go beyond infinity when we commune with God as friends. Hook Watch out. Stay focused man. You in dat crossfire. Watch out. Stay focused man. Just lift dat cross higher (x2) Chorus From the rising of the sun tila when it set me bless ya name. And upon the ocean to the mountains hear dem people give ya praise. Hear creation tell ya goodness. See dem all declare ya fame. Great is ya love for all ya people Lord. Now tongue cannot explain. Sing blessing and honour. All glory and the power. All majesty. Praises to the King of all Kings (x2) Verse 2 No doubt. I’m fully persuaded God will supply me whatever I need. So please. My Creator got gold like dirt. Aint nothing they could offer me. I’m sold. Bought with a price. Check my tag. The blood of Christ redeemed me. I know by His stripes I’m healed. Now I’m free from sickness and all diseases. Now I’m doing my victory dance. Raising my hands with a champion stance. I’m more like an overcomer. God my shield and reward and my life is in His hands. Knows my name. Knows my frame. Got an ear to my voice when I call His name. And I call Him the Good Shepherd. I be the sheep when I’m weak His grace is all that I need. I’m free. Free from a sinful man with a carnal life and the foolish ways. And as for me and my house we serve the Lord for all our days. Now thanks be to God. In Christ He always leads us into triumph. We bringing that sweet fragrance and Life in a world of lost and dying. Vanuatu Travel - Vanuatu , officially the Republic of Vanuatu is an island nationlocated in the South Pacific Ocean. The archipelago, which is of volcanic origin, is some 1,750 kilometres (1,090 mi) east of northern Australia, 500 kilometres (310 mi) northeast of New Caledonia, west of Fiji, and southeast of the Solomon Islands, near New Guinea. Vanuatu was first inhabited by Melanesianpeople. Europeansdiscovered the islands in 1605 with the arrival of a Spanish expedition led by Queirósin Espiritu Santo. In the 1880s Franceand the United Kingdomclaimed parts of the country, and in 1906 they agreed on a framework for jointly managing the archipelago as the New Hebridesthrough a British-French Condominium. An independence movement arose in the 1970s, and the Republic of Vanuatu was created in 1980.History Main article: History of Vanuatu The prehistory of Vanuatu is obscure; archaeological evidence supports the commonly held theory that peoples speaking Austronesian languagesfirst came to the islands some 4,000 years ago. Pottery fragments have been found dating back to 1300--1100 BCE. The Vanuatu group of islands was discovered by Europeans in 1606 when the Portugueseexplorer Pedro Fernandes de Queirósworking for the Spanish Crown, arrived on Espiritu Santo, and called it La Austrialia del Espiritu Santoor The Southern Land of the Holy Spirit, thinking he had arrived in Terra Australisor Australia. Europeans did not return until 1768, when Louis Antoine de Bougainvillerediscovered the islands. In 1774, Captain Cooknamed the islands the New Hebrides, a name that lasted until independence. In 1825, trader Peter Dillons discovery of sandalwoodon the island of Erromangobegan a rush of immigrants that ended in 1830 after a clash between immigrants and Polynesian workers. During the 1860s, planters in Australia, Fiji, New Spain, and the Samana Islands, in need of laborers, encouraged a long-term indentured labor trade called blackbirding. At the height of the labor trade, more than one-half the adult male population of several of the Islands worked abroad. Fragmentary evidence indicates that the current population of Vanuatu is greatly reduced compared to pre-contact times. It was in the 19th century that both Catholic and Protestant missionariesarrived on the islands. Settlers also came, looking for land on which to establish cotton plantations. When international cotton prices collapsed, planters switched to coffee, cocoa, bananas, and, most successfully, coconuts. Initially, British subjects from Australiamade up the majority, but the establishment of the Caledonian Company of the New Hebrides in 1882 soon tipped the balance in favor of French subjects. By the turn of the century, the French outnumbered the British two to one. The jumbling of French and British interests in the islands brought petitions for one or another of the two powers to annex the territory. In 1906, however, France and the United Kingdom agreed to administer the islands jointly. Called the British-French Condominium, it was a unique form of government, with separate governmental systems that came together only in a joint court. Melanesians were barred from acquiring the citizenship of either power. Challenges to this form of government began in the early 1940s. The arrival of Americansduring World War II, with their informal demeanor and relative wealth, was instrumental in the rise of nationalism in the islands. The belief in a mythical messianic figure named John Frumwas the basis for an indigenous cargo cult(a movement attempting to obtain industrial goods through magic) promising Melanesian deliverance. Today, John Frum is both a religion and a political party with a member in Parliament.[3] The first political party was established in the early 1970s and originally was called the New Hebrides National Party. One of the founders was Father Walter Lini, who later became Prime Minister. Renamed the Vanuaaku Patiin 1974, the party pushed for independence; in 1980, amidst the brief Coconut War,[4][5]the Republic of Vanuatu was created.[3] During the 1990s Vanuatu experienced political instability which eventually resulted in a more decentralized government. The Vanuatu Mobile Force, a paramilitary group, attempted a coup in 1996 because of a pay dispute. There were allegations of corruption in the government of Maxime Carlot Korman. New elections have been called for several times since 1997, most recently in 2004. ( source Wikipedia ) Enjoy Your Vanuatu Travel!

We spent 12 wonderful days on Espiritu Santo, the largest island in the Vanuatu archipelago. Diving, hiking, caving, canyoning, kayaking and snorkelling are just some of the activities available in this South Pacific gem. Impressive as its natural attractions may be, it's the charming, relaxed Ni-Vanuatu who make it such a great place to visit.
This was definitely a great way of seeing Port Villa and Efate Island. Journeying through the city centre, beach, villages, farmland, we certainly got more than we bargained for. Our guide Matino was extremely helpful as was the taxi driver Sam. http://buggyfunrental.com.vu/home/ Check out my other videos for more travel vlogs.

Hope you enjoy our holiday video. Vanuatu is an amazing place and we would highly recommend it!
Vanuatu is a Y-shaped archipelago in the South Pacific and is made up of some 80 islands, with a group of islands stretching over a distance of 900 kilometres. Being located on the Pacific rim of fire, Vanuatu consists of a young chain of rugged volcanic islands. There are several permanently active volcanoes here, and they are easily accessible, so it makes for an unforgettable holiday experience. Vanuatu has a population of around 220,000 with the majority being of Melanesian origin. It has a blend of intact travel community infused with a rich English and French influence. The people of Vanuatu are extremely friendly, and with the Happy Planet Index voting it the happiest country on Earth, once you visit there, it is easy to see why with the laid back lifestyle and abundance of smiles everywhere you go. Vanuatu is easily accessible by air and is situated very close to Australia, New Zealand and Fiji. It's a very safe and amazing destination with so much to see and do. There are many exciting adventures and activities for every kind of traveller. Its pristine white sand beaches give way to an amazing underwater playground with wrecks from World War II, the islands of Vanuatu are a diver's dream come true. Most of the islands offer all kinds of water activities due to the perfect water temperature year round and the huge array of fish and sea life. Above the water, you can experience Vanuatu however you like. You could choose a horseback ride along the beach, zip from village to market in an open buggy, or leave it to one of the many fantastic tour companies who can guide you to waterfalls and trek through lush rainforest. The choice is endless. Finding accommodation in Vanuatu is all so simple. Whatever your budget, you can definitely find something to make this your perfect escape. If you're after a private, relaxing getaway, many islands offer beachfront bungalows with whimsical water views, or you could choose to stay at one of the many three, four or five star resorts. Don't worry if that is a little out of your price range, there are many smaller resorts and apartments to choose from, even backpackers and the newest style of accommodation, flash backers. Vanuatu is a must see destination and all the family will have a great time here. It's the perfect place to chill out by the pool, mix with the locals or even go on an all-out adventure. Mystery Island was one of the real surprises on a recent visit to New Caledonia on board the Celebrity Solstice. The Island is basically a sand bar with a grass runway on top of it but it's beauty is unmatched in the area. The views of the bay were stunning and the pictures & footage I managed to grab were nothing short of exceptional! Wow, what a day!

noodls 2015-04-10Vanuatu (English i/ˌvɑːnuːˈɑːtuː/ vah-noo-AH-too or /vænˈwɑːtuː/ van-WAH-too; Bislama IPA: [vanuaˈtu]), officially the Republic of Vanuatu (French: République de Vanuatu, Bislama: Ripablik blong Vanuatu), is an island nation located in the South Pacific Ocean. The archipelago, which is of volcanic origin, is some 1,750 kilometres (1,090 mi) east of northern Australia, 500 kilometres (310 mi) northeast of New Caledonia, west of Fiji, and southeast of the Solomon Islands, near New Guinea.
Vanuatu was first inhabited by Melanesian people. The first Europeans to visit the islands were the members of a Spanish expedition led by Portuguese navigator Fernandes de Queirós who arrived in Espiritu Santo in 1605. In the 1880s France and the United Kingdom claimed parts of the country, and in 1906 they agreed on a framework for jointly managing the archipelago as the New Hebrides through a British–French Condominium. An independence movement arose in the 1970s, and the Republic of Vanuatu was created in 1980.
