Foxtel Footy Festival

The Foxtel Footy Festival celebrates all that is brilliant about Melbourne! Showcasing the best Melbourne has to offer in food, music, movies, and of course, footy.

All fans are invited and it’s free to attend, because you make the game! Located in Yarra Park outside Gate 3 of the MCG and running for 4 days from Wednesday 30 September until Grand Final day on Saturday 3 October.

Bring the family and come celebrate the greatest time of the year, Finals time. Included activities are outlined below: 

2015 TOYOTA AFL GRAND FINAL PARADE PROUDLY SUPPORTED BY CITY OF MELBOURNE

The Toyota AFL Grand Final Parade proudly supported by City of Melbourne, taking place on the 2nd October 2015 from 12pm, provides a chance for supporters of all age groups to see their favourite players who will take to the field in the Grand Final.

Marching bands, roving entertainment and many others will join the cavalcade of Toyota HiLuxs carrying the two Grand Finalist teams along the route from the Old Treasury Building to the Toyota AFL Grand Final Live Site.

 

 

The centerpiece of the Foxtel Footy Festival will be the Live Site, featuring a number of sponsor activities, live broadcasts, player appearances and kids activities. The 2015 Toyota AFL Grand Final will be shown live on big screens throughout the Live Site on Saturday.

The AFL Women’s Style Lounge is a fun-filled marquee fully catered to the female AFL fan, where women can enjoy great music, pampering, sweet treats and an opportunity to mingle with fellow fans – all free of charge.

Try out OPSM's state of the art hand/eye coordination testers, where footy fans can measure their reaction skills and see how they measure up in the high performance stakes.

Not to mention the opportunity to test their skills against some current AFL Stars. There will also be a "Where's Penny the Pirate" activity to test out how good their eyesight really is. Keep an eye out for the OPSM staff roaming the site offering a free glasses cleaning service and cleaning cloth giveaways.

 

13CABS

Come and visit the 13CABS crew to have a go at 'Buckball'. A handball/kicking skill testing game for kids. Participants will each get four tries and they have to handball/kick their balls into (and stay in) buckets to win instant prizes and every ½ hour the ‘horn’ is sounded and the top scorer wins a $25 13CABS Cabcharge Gift Card.

 

SPORTSEARS

SportsEars are doing demonstrations for the public throughout the day to simulate the experience the fans have using SportsEars at an AFL game - being able to listen to the umpires and television or radio commentary all live at the game!

 

COATES HIRE

Fans can join in the fun of the Coates Hire Goal of the Year by trying to kick a footy into a mini excavator bucket.

Fans can upload footage of their big kick via social media to share and "like" for a chance to win big. The most "likes" by the end of Saturday will win.

 

HERITAGE

The Australian Voices are a gold medal winning choir from all over the nation, they will be performing all 18 AFL club anthems in their own unique style on the main stage exclusively for Foxtel Arts.

NUSSY

A fun and refreshing sound with a strong pop sensibility, Nussy is a prolific songwriter, gifted vocalist, fashionable pop icon and killer DJ. Since the release of her debut single, Dizzy, and self-titled EP in July 2014, quirky Melbourne pop starlet Nussy has been making waves in the Australian music scene. The up-beat, self-titled EP was a strong debut for Nussy.

It was recorded and produced by Michael Paynter and Michael DeLorenzis at MSquared Productions and mastered by Tom Coyne (Robyn, MSMR, Taylor Swift, Adele) at Stirling Sound in NYC. The video for Dizzy was directed by Jarred Osborn and Julian Lucas from Lips (winners of Tropfest 2015) and filmed at Paris End Studios.
