Some times we do things a little bit different! At this year's international trade fair for quality assurance from 5 to 8 May, Hexagon Metrology is focussing on quality automation. That is not just automation for quality control, but automation that is itself quality. It means developing systems that don’t simply automate tasks that can be done already, but instead push the limits, giving our customers unprecedented speed, accuracy and performance. Such innovative and inspiring solutions will be showcased together with highlights from our portfolio, such as stationary coordinate measuring machines (CMMs), portable measuring arms and laser trackers - not to mention vision and multisensor devices, white light systems, hand tools and gauges to sensors and software. Among these highlights we will debut the acclaimed Leica Absolute Tracker AT960 laser tracker, exhibited as part of a portable robotic cell. In fact, the 500 m2 Hexagon Metrology installation features no less than five automated units for inspection and quality control related applications from part-loading through to metrology-guided assembly. We will introduce a new concept for automated sensor exchange on stationary CMMs, while visitors can also experience the powerful feeling of having the facts at their fingertips as they test new software solutions that integrate factory data and produce actionable information to inform better decision making.
