Plot: Yadvinder Singh and his brother Tinku are career criminals in Bombay, India. They have always managed to elude the police, and continued with their way of life. Then one day, they receive a letter from a blackmailer, who claims that there is evidence that can send them to jail for a long time unless and until they go to a village named Kashipur and protect a boy named Rahul and other villagers from being killed by a gang of bandits led by Raja Sunder Singh. Fearful of being apprehended by the police, the duo decide to follow the blackmailer's instructions. They travel to Kashipur and tell the villagers that they are police officers in plainclothes sent to protect them against bandits. The simple-minded villagers accept this explanation, and both are accepted into the community. They find out that Rahul knows of a truck that contains millions of rupees of arms and ammunition, and it is for this reason that Raja Sunder Singh has been threatening them. At first they attempt to protect Rahul and the villagers against Raja's men, but eventually greed takes over and they agree to negotiate a deal with Raja for a large sum of money, little knowing that they are putting themselves under attack at the hands of the blackmailer. But Yadvinder and Tinku have a master plan - a plan that will change theirs' and the villagers lives forever.

Plot: After the death of his wife, Savitri, former bandit, Suraj Singh, decides to go straight, and with the help of a Catholic Priest, Father John, goes to work in a small hillside community along with his young son, Raju. Suraj is afraid that his former partner, Zalim Singh, may come hunting for him and hence changes Raju's name to Johny. Years pass by, Johny has grown up and is in love with Seema, the daughter of his employer, Colonel. Suraj talks to Johny to give up the idea of marrying someone so rich and wealthy - with considerable success. An embittered Seema agrees to marry anyone her grandfather chooses, which is Amar, who has returned from London. Before that could happen, Johny has an encounter with Zalim, who is subsequently arrested by the Police, found guilty and jailed for life. Then Amar arrives with his sister, Sheela, and instantly approves of Seema. What they family is not aware of is that the real Amar and Sheela have been killed and their place has been taken over by Zalim's son, Shakti, and his girlfriend, Julie. Watch what happens when Zalim breaks out of prison and lets out the secret that Savitri had not died a natural death and had been killed by none other than her very own husband, Suraj; the impact this has on the Colonel and his family - and as well as on Johny.

The movie opens up with a teenage girl named Gauri(Nutan) loosing her parents. After their tragic death Gauri moved with her uncle named Kashinath and his family. Her aunt abused her, ill-treated her and made her do all the household work. She is forced to work as servant in other houses for mere and minimum wages. Her aunt takes all her earnings away. One day, police called Kashinath informs that Gauri is accused by her employer named Bankelal for stealing a necklace. Kashinath took the responsibility to look after her. Seema had grown up with a peculiar complex in her. She believed that anybody who loved her would not survive. "So had happened to my mother and my father", she told Rajni, her friend, would laugh it out saying "If it were true, I would have died first, since I love you the most". . Then came a handsome tall young man in her life-and he did love her. She stunned him. But he was not a man of easy clay. The moment he learnt of her complex, he took her to one of the tribal Mandirs and married her. . He died in less than a weeks time. Seemas doubts became a stunch superstition. Her complex became a sure conviction. . By the time she overcame the grief of her lover, she was the mother of a child. Any child would get attached to her mother, and so did hers . Seema feared the fate again. She knew the child would not survive if he got attached to her. She decided to keep the child away from her, but what of her own attachment for the child. She suffered and bore the tortures of the complex but how she survived the superstition inspite of her sons attachment for her, is the story of Seema.

The movie opens up with a teenage girl named Gauri(Nutan) loosing her parents. After their tragic death Gauri moved with her uncle named Kashinath and his family. Her aunt abused her, ill-treated her and made her do all the household work. She is forced to work as servant in other houses for mere and minimum wages. Her aunt takes all her earnings away. One day, police called Kashinath informs that Gauri is accused by her employer named Bankelal for stealing a necklace. Kashinath took the responsibility to look after her. But Gauri manages to escape from her uncle and tried to beat Bankelal who accused her of stealing. The police catches her again and place her in an orphanage called Shree Satyanand Anarthalaya, run by the manager named Ashok(Balraj Sahani). Gauri is placed in isolation there and imposed with many rules and regulations. In revolt to them she breaks all the furniture and windows. One day she manages to escape from the orphanage, to beat Bankelal and then returns back to the orphanage. After that Ashok with his associate Murlidhar finds out that Gauri is innocent and Bankelal framed her into this. They call police and make Bankelal confess his crime. After all this Gauri gets free to go away from orphanage but she insists to stay and promises to obey Ashok. Then Ashok gets a heart attack and he ask her to leave and get married to Murlidhar. But she refuses and proposes to look after Ashok. The question persists, what she will do? Will she keep her promise or will she disobey Ashok?

SYNOPSIS

Then Ashok and his associate Murlidhar find out that Bankelal had framed Gauri, and they inform the Police, who make Bankelal confess. In this way, Gauri gets a pardon, and is asked to leave the orphanage, but she refuses to do so and stays on after promising that she will always obey Ashok. When Ashok has a heart attack, she proposes to stay and look after him, but Ashok wants her to leave and get married to Murlidhar. The question remains, will Gauri disobey Ashok or keep her promise and get married to Murlidhar?
