Osterley is an affluent district of the historic parish of Isleworth in west London approximately 9.5 miles (15.3 km) west south-west of Charing Cross and is part of the London Borough of Hounslow. Most of its land use is mixed agricultural and aesthetic parkland at Osterley House (National Trust), charity-run, much of which is open to paying visitor access.
Osterley is on the most elevated soil of the parish, dissected by A4 (The Great West Road) and extends further north than the M4 Motorway. Syon Lane forms the border to the east, while the border with the town of Heston is to the west. Osterley extends to the south of the A4 to at least Church Road based on house deeds, much housing existed before mid 1930's and before the A4, St Marys Church south of the A4 is also in Osterley. Historic map
Most of the land of Osterley is the large ancestral private estate of Osterley Park (one of the largest open spaces in west London) and its mansion. These were formerly owned by the Jersey family and were used during World War II as the home for Tom Wintringham's Home Guard training school. They are now National Trust property. During the inter-war period of the 1930s when the Great West Road was completed ribbon development housing appeared, and this gradually expanded to form the comparatively small residential sections within Osterley.
Osterley Park is a mansion set in a large park of the same name. It is in the London Borough of Hounslow, part of the western suburbs of London.
When the house was built it was surrounded by rural countryside. It was one of a group of large houses close to London which served as country retreats for wealthy families, but were not true country houses on large agricultural estates. Other surviving country retreats of this type near London include Syon House and Chiswick House. The park is one of the largest open spaces in west London, although the M4 motorway cuts across the middle of it.
The original building on this site was a manor house built in the 1570s for banker Sir Thomas Gresham, who purchased the manor of Osterley in 1562. The "faire and stately brick house" was completed in 1576. It is known that Queen Elizabeth visited. The stable block from this period remains at Osterley Park. Gresham was so wealthy he also bought the neighbouring Manor of Boston in 1572.
In DC Comics, Wayne Manor is a fictional American setting, the personal residence of Bruce Wayne, who is also Batman. The residence is typically depicted as a huge mansion on grounds outside Gotham City, maintained by the Wayne family's butler, Alfred Pennyworth. While the earliest stories showed Bruce Wayne buying the house himself, by the 1950s at the latest, retroactive continuity had established that the manor had belonged to the Wayne family for several generations. It was without exception referred to in the 1960s TV series as "stately Wayne Manor."
The manor grounds include an extensive subterranean cave system that Bruce Wayne discovered as a boy and later used as his base of operations, the Batcave. The method used to access it has varied across the different storylines in the comics, movies, and shows. In the comic books, it is typically accessible from a hidden door in Wayne Manor's study behind a non-functioning grandfather clock, which opens to a descending staircase when the hands on said clock are turned to 10:47, the time Thomas and Martha Wayne were killed.

Michelle's London Commute 2 | Travel by Bike Before leaving for Canada we were in a temporary flat and my commute became longer, 26km up from a 14km commute. I had to get myself across London from Tower Bridge out to the Osterley area of London. Lucky for me the new East-West cycling superhighway had just opened making my commute across central London a little easier. Here's what my commute was like for a month in May 2016. If you would like to see where the commute continues from where this video leaves off you can see it here: https://youtu.be/FCNnJTPOqzI?t=6m24s Click to see more: Cycling Across Canada Website: http://cyclingacrosscanada.com Twitter Michelle: https://twitter.com/cycling_woman Instagram Michelle: https://instagram.com/cycling_woman ♫Music By♫ ●Lakey Inspired - Tak...

http://joolzguides.com The True Taste Of Tuscany Comes To Chiswick. In this Joolz Guide Joolz takes his mum for a meal to do the acid test. His mother is Italian so she should know! The Villa di Geggiano has for more than five centuries, under the auspices of the Bianchi Bandinelli family, been renowned for superb hospitality and generosity – as well as delicious food and sumptuous wines. Located in Chianti at the heart of Tuscany and surrounded by vineyards and stunning gardens, it has a history of exporting mouth-watering wines to England – having been possibly the very first to bring Chianti here in 1725. Now, all the elegance, style and – most importantly, flavours – of that region are to be found in Chiswick High Street at the new Restaurant Villa di Geggiano, London. The menu feature...
The Lord Mayor's March takes place every year in the city of London and is a colourful parade of city livery companies and other members of society. Click here for more videos like this: http://joolzguides.com Please subscribe to my channel for more videos! https://www.youtube.com/user/Joolzybaby What I like about he parade is that it is where we get the the expression Sixes and Sevens. Watch the video to find out how this came about! Many people always wonder about the golden grasshopper on top of the Royal Exchange. The royal exchange was founded by Sir Thomas Gresham in order that merchants would have a place to do their business. In this video Joolz explains about this grasshopper and also the emblems outside the buildings on Lombard Street.
Starting at St Paul's Cathedral in Central London, this is a scenic, cross-country time lapse of my car journey across England to Bristol, finishing in Avonmouth and following the length of the A4. The scenic route takes us from the start of the A4 at Fleet Street, westwards out of greater London. We go through several large towns such as Reading before winding through beautiful countryside in Berkshire and Wiltshire, and passing through market towns such as Marlborough and Calne. We then pass right through the centre of Bath and Bristol, and out the other side underneath the Clifton Suspension Bridge and through Clifton Gorge to Avonmouth, where the A4 ends. It's the scenic route westwards from London to Bristol! Music credits: Ludovico Einaudi - Life Ludovico Einaudi - Time Lapse (bo...

Estrella: No me hace bien
Estar
Sin ti
Yahir: Eso lo sé
Tampoco a mi
Juntos: Porque aunque estás en mi sueños no encuentro
Tu mirada al despertar
Siento que mi soledad
Es tan grande como el mar
Coro: 1: No puedo resistir si no te tengo
Me muero por vivir en tus besos
Quiero estar junto a ti
Tocando el cielo
Eternamente porque te quiero
Yahir: Odio sentir
Estrella: Que tu
No estás
Yahir: Uh amo también
Estrella: Tu libertad
Juntos: Aunque te llevo tan dentro y te siento
Si un minuto te me vas
Siento que mi soledad
Es tan grande como el mar
Coro 2: No quiero estar sin ti si no te tengo
La vida se me va en tu recuerdo
Quiero estar junto a ti
Cada segundo
Seguirte más allá de este mundo
(unque te llevo tan dentro y te siento
Si un minuto te me vas)
Estrella: Na, na, na, na, na
(Estrella: Siento que mi soledad)
Estrella: Na-na, na-na, na-na, na, na
