Longtime resident George Lybrand, 92, dies

Lybrand, a World War II veteran, founded Southeast Engineering in Ketchikan in 1982. He first entered local politics in 1987, when he won a seat on the Ketchikan City Council. He served four years on that body, as well as a couple terms on the Ketchikan Gateway Borough Assembly.
