The Nevada Statistical Analysis Center (SAC) is located in at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV) and is administered by the Center for Crime and Justice Policy (CCJP), which is in the Department of Criminal Justice. The objectives of CCJP are to advance public policy, improve professional practices, and educate students in research methods. CCJP and the SAC capitalize on the expertise of academic faculty who specialize in scientific inquiry, policy development, and statistical methodologies. Primarily grant funded, CCJP and the Nevada SAC are involved in a variety of research projects including prisoner reentry, school violence prevention, body-worn cameras, and SMART Policing. Additionally, the SAC maintains the Research in Brief program, which reports on various justice-related topics of interest to Nevadans.
The Nevada SAC is also affiliated with the Crowd Management Research Council (CMRC) - one of the few research entities in the United States that works to improve crowd management techniques and strategies.

Evidence-Based Practices Toolkit
JRSA, in partnership with the National Criminal Justice Association (NCJA) and the Bureau of Justice Assistance (BJA), has produced the second in a series of "toolkits" on promoting the use of evidence-based practices in State Administering Agencies (SAAs).
The second toolkit, Implementing Evidence-Based Practices, includes a Briefing Paper, an
Executive Summary, and a
PowerPoint Slides. The slideshow can be tailored by SAAs to highlight their own efforts in promoting evidence-based practices in their state.
