In a protest at Casselden Place (DIMA head office in Melbourne) called to coincide with a convergence on Canberra for the first sitting of the new Parliament, mock coffins were set up in the forecourt in memory of (nameless) detainees who had met their death in Australian centres – the spelling was a bit shaky in places, but the message was clear. The protest was also addressed by a refugee recently released from detention.
