A sermon is an oration by a prophet or member of the clergy. Sermons address a Biblical, theological, religious, or moral topic, usually expounding on a type of belief, law or behavior within both past and present contexts. Elements of preaching include exposition, exhortation and practical application.
In Christianity, a sermon (also known as a homily within some churches) is often delivered in a place of worship, most of which have a pulpit or ambo, an elevated architectural feature. The word "sermon" comes from a Middle English word which was derived from an Old French term, which in turn came from the Latin word sermō; ("discourse"), although links have been made between the Latin word serere, which means 'to join together', so this leaves the modern Latin definition open to interpretation. The word can mean "conversation", which could mean that early sermons were delivered in the form of question and answer, and that only later did it come to mean a monologue. In contrast to this are examples from the Bible, where sermons are speeches without interlocution: Moses' sermon in Deuteronomy 1-33 [1]; Jesus' sermon on the mount in Matthew 5-7 [2]; Peter's sermon after Pentecost in Acts 2:14-40 [3].

Leaving you on the note that
Knowledge is to know the ledge
Before you fall over the edge
Into the devils so called civilization
Or into despair of ignorance
The difference between that ledge and that edge
Is that that ledge is the tip of the edge
And that edge is the border between life and death
That's all we have left
Shoot skills out your brains before you have breaths

I’m workin’ all night, workin’ all day,
My job is hard and I can’t slip away,
You think it’s over, you think we’re through,
It’s not like that, it just isn’t true.
Suzy let us go to the beach,
Where we can stay out of reach,
Just enjoying the sunshine,
Not to make you misunderstand,
I want to hold your hand,
Suzy I won’t let you down,
I will always be around,
Please believe it’s true, I’m still in love with you.
I need you all night, need you all day,
My life is working many miles away,
A chance to reach you is on the phone,
I hear your voice and i feel so alone.
Suzy let us go to the beach,
Where we can stay out of reach,
Just enjoying the sunshine,
Not to make you misunderstand,
I want to hold your hand,
Suzy I won’t let you down,
I will always be around,
Please believe it’s true, I’m still in love with you.

Oh God, I've done it again
You stare me in the eyes
And I look away
You come around my house
And I'm not home
And If I had a dollar
For every time I sinned against You
Well I'd be a rich man
Why are You still here
When I told You to leave?
Why do the oceans
Never get past my knees?
You lift me out of the water
Every time I loose away from You
You made me a rich man
And If I had a dollar
For every time I sinned against You
Well I'd be a rich man
You lift me out of the water
Every time I loose away from You

[Spoken]
The world belongs to you as much as to the next fella.
Don't give it up, an' try not to be scared of people not
liking you, just try likin' them. Just keep your faith an'
courage an' you'll come out right. It's-It's like what
we used to sing ev'ry mornin' when I went to school, maybe
it's still the same, I don't know...
