We offer free one-to-one career advice appointments and occasional group seminars to help you explore study options to reach your full potential.
Career advice is useful to help you:
- explore education and training opportunities that will build on your current skills, knowledge and experiences
- learn how to research courses and careers and consider labour market trends and changing work roles
- identify your interests, abilities and values and how these will influence your future career decisions
- set short term and long term goals and develop a career action plan that reflects your needs.

Book a free career advice appointment to debrief your current situation and research appropriate educational pathways including options for postgraduate study.

- set timelines for achieving your professional goals.
Who the appointments are for
Our one-on-one appointments are ideal for future students who are:
- young adults ready to start a career
- parents returning to work/study
- changing career direction
- currently working and wanting to progress their career
- reskilling to re-enter the workforce.

Explore your study options - Return to study seminars
Our Return to Study seminars are ideal for future students who want to develop further skills to re-enter the workforce and/or establish a new career direction.
The seminars will cover topics such as:
- understanding the Australian Qualifications Framework
- the differences between Vocational Education and Higher Education
- direct applications and applying via VTAC
- fees and scholarships
- Special Entry Access Schemes (SEAS)
- applying for course credits (Advanced Standing)
- how to make a smooth transition in your return to study.

Our staff work closely with career practitioners in high schools to make sure our future students still in school can receive the most relevant and up-to-date information about our courses. We recommend that you make an appointment to see your career practitioner in your own school, and ask them about courses at Victoria University.
