The Western world, also known as the West and the Occident (from Latin: occidens "sunset, West"; as contrasted with the Orient), is a term referring to different nations depending on the context. There is no agreed upon definition about what all these nations have in common.
Though the term originally had a literal geographic meaning and contrasted Europe with the cultures of the Orient or Asia, today the term West does not imply geographic location, as most of Europe and Oceania, major components of the West, lie in the Eastern Hemisphere.[citation needed]
The concept of the Western part of the earth has its roots in Greco-Roman civilization in Europe, with the advent of Christianity. In the modern era, Western culture has been heavily influenced by the traditions of The Renaissance, The Protestant Reformation, The Enlightenment, and shaped by the expansive colonialism of the 16th-20th centuries. Its political usage was temporarily informed by a mutual antagonism with the Soviet bloc during the Cold War in the mid-to-late 20th Century (1945–1991).
Fidel Alejandro Castro Ruz (Spanish: [fiˈðel ˈkastro]; born August 13, 1926) is a Cuban revolutionary and politician, having held the position of Prime Minister of Cuba from 1959 to 1976, and then President from 1976 to 2008. He also served as the First Secretary of the Communist Party of Cuba from the party's foundation in 1961 until 2011. Politically a Marxist-Leninist, under his administration the Republic of Cuba was converted into a one-party socialist state, with industry and business being nationalized under state ownership and socialist reforms implemented in all areas of society. On the international stage, he also served as the Secretary-General of the Non-Aligned Movement from 1979 to 1983 and 2006 to 2008.

A recruitment video from the organization was posted to YouTube over the weekend, referencing members who have joined from Australia, the United Kingdom and other Western nations. Governments officials have expressed concern that if true, the fighters may eventually return to their homelands, bringing jihad with them. Russia may ban car imports from Western nations
Moscow may fully or partly ban car imports if the United States and the European Union impose additional sanctions on the country. The new ban wouldn't apply to foreign automakers' production inside Russia. Imported vehicles accounted for 27 percent of Russia's passenger car sales in the first half of 2014. The US and European countries have imposed a series of sanctions against Russia over the situation in Ukraine. Moscow recently retaliated the measures by banning agricultural imports from countries imposing the embargoes. The ban is estimated to cost European agricultural industries millions of dollars.

Cuban leader Fidel Castro has condemned western nations at a summit in Italy, accusing them of ignoring world starvation.
The Cuban leader is in Rome for the World Food Summit.
While in Rome, Castro will also meet Pope John Paul II on Tuesday morning.
Cuba's President Fidel Castro arrived in decidedly nonsocialist style in a blue Maserati at the U-N Food and Agriculture Organisation (F-A-O) summit in Rome on Saturday.
Security has been exceptionally tight at the conference.
Such is Castro's aura that even delegates wanted his autograph.
The Cuban leader did not pull his punches when it was his turn to speak,

Distress Amongst Nations While The US And Russia Target Preppers In The West
It all started with a sense of promises unfulfilled.
"Russia feels betrayed. … It feels that the supposed détente between Gorbachev and Reagan and the 90s supposed friendship between Yeltsin's administration and that of Bill Clinton was probably going to lead to an alliance between Russia and America," the political analyst told Sputnik.
The partnership never really took shape but major changes were underway. For instance, Russian mainstream opinion drastically transformed in the 90s. Russians no longer perceived the United States and Western Europe as an adversary but the narrative in the West did not follow suit, the journalist asserted.

More Western nations joining China-led Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank
서방
And going back to the China-led investment bank,... Washington′s concerns may be growing... as many Western countries have... and continue to line up to join China′s initiative.
Connie Kim reports.
Concern is growing in Washington as a number of countries are lining up to join the China-led Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank.
Following Britain′s decision to join the AIIB last week, France, Germany and Italy announced that they will also take part in the new institution.
With the decision, a total of 31 nations have now agreed to join, building muscle from the initial 21 nations that signed up from the beginning.
Initially, Australia and South Korea had decided to take a "wait-and-see" approach, but with big European nations jumping on board, Australia now says it′s carefully reviewing its options.
Meanwhile, Seoul is expected to announce its plans within its end-of-March deadline.
Washington is worried Beijing′s new bank could negatively affect U.S.-based institutions.
Watchers say the AIIB, which was launched last year by China,... is a counterbalance to the U.S.-led World Bank and the Japan-led Asian Development Bank.
Not surprisingly, Japan also opposes the AIIB.
Tokyo is one of the biggest shareholders in the ADB, meaning it is permitted to make key decisions.
China, meanwhile, holds about a five-percent share in the ADB.
Chinese President Xi Jinping had said the new bank will improve global financial governance.
Beijing is expected to push to expand its existence in the financial arena, reflecting China′s rising global economic influence.
The world′s second-largest economy also plans to create a New Development Bank that could stand alongside traditional institutions such as the World Bank, and the International Monetary Fund.
Connie Kim, Arirang News.

Western diplomats are preparing a resolution that would put Uhuru's case on hold after the African Union lodged objections to the trial... According to Sources not quoted by the UK based Telegraph the resolution was to avoid a damaging stand-off between the court and African states over charges faced by the president for alleged masterminding the post-election violence that killed more than 1,000 people in 2007-08. Kenyatta maintains he will co-operate with the ICC where his trial is due to start on the 12th of November. An extraordinary summit of the African Union on Saturday issued an ultimatum to the court to stop the case, warning judges that president Kenyatta must and should not be compelled to face trial.

The trial of President Uhuru Kenyatta could be suspended for at least a year under a diplomatic deal to be put to the United Nations.

CHARBEL ABOURAAD: Two Western journalists have been beheaded and tens of thousands of Christians, Yazidis have been forced from their homes, forced to convert or be killed, yet President Obama's response is, "We do not have a strategy yet." Do you think it's time for Western nations to form a coalition in unison with Arab neighbouring countries and launch a full air and ground operation and stop the Islamic State's blitzkrieg offensive?
...
SAM DASTYARI: Look, I just disagree with you, Jonathan, on some of that and, look, where there’s hurt, where there’s suffering, where there’s the potential for genocide and we, within our power, have something we can do about it, we should do something about it. You know, a fortnight ago I was on the Syrian border in a Jordanian refugee camp and I spoke to some people, some of whom had fled Assad, some who had fled ISIS, some of whom had come actually across from Iraq and you hear their harrowing stories and their harrowing tales, and I never supported the Iraq invasion in 2003, but when you think that we are a wealthy middle power on the other side of the world and we have so much opportunity here as a country and you look at the hurt and suffering that's being caused in that part of the world, yeah, we have a responsibility to do something. Now, in terms of the actual ground troops part of your question, I don't think there is a case yet for that and I don't think that case has been made. But so far, in terms of is there a role for Australia, where we can, as a middle power, to get involved, yes and we should get involved.
TONY JONES: So you’re, just to confirm, you're against ground forces but not against air strikes using Australian aircraft. What about air strikes into Syrian territory, which is going to be the next step?
SAM DASTYARI: I think we have to be really careful as a country when we turn around and say just how far are we gonna stretch our resources? Because I tell you what we can do. When we talk about assistance, There are two types assistance. There’s military assistance and there’s humanitarian assistance. I think at the moment there’s some serious kind of some talk about some kind of military assistance so far as Iraq’s concerned. I think with Syria, the first thing we have to do is humanitarian assistance. I got an email two hours ago from this amazing person, Cassie Mathie, who runs Australian Volunteers International in Jordan and I went and visited her and visited all of kind of the young - you know, if you want to be proud of Australia, you go to that part of the world and you see these 20, 30 year old young Australian volunteers that are giving up their safety, their security to go and participate and help people. All of these programs have now been cut. So, frankly, I don’t think we have to be careful about how far we stretch our military resources but certainly we can be doing more on that aid front.
TONY JONES: Okay, I’m just going to quickly bring you back to get an answer to that question though. I mean it’s about the actions, the aerial bombardment will be against Islamic State forces. They can quickly move across the border into Syria and avoid that unless they are bombed in Syria as well?
SAM DASTYARI: Yeah, look, frankly, I don't think the case has been made where in, as opposed to Iraq and Syria, we don't have a reliable partner on the ground and I think that's going to be the big challenge and I think that's where the international community needs to be focussing on. I don't think the case has been made for going across the border yet but certainly, I mean what you're saying is a very valid point. I think it’s going to be debated.

"I had nothing in my life before - no income, no resources, no assets. I was extremely poor. When I was given two female goats by Farm Africa my life changed completely. The goats both had twins soon after I received them and to make some money I sold some of their offspring. With the money I bought an ox and rented some land and bought seed and fertiliser so that I could grow crops and vegetables. From that land, I started to produce more food for my family; wheat, barley and teff (a grain). Previously I could never have imagined doing this because I was unable to even borrow money to start a business or rent land as I had no assets. But now I'm actually being asked to be a guarantor when friends take out loans and they're also coming to me for advice. It's incredible how my life has changed."

This is also because of the training they're receiving. They're now starting to plan for their futures and are building up their assets as they've been taught how to do so. They're also demanding their rights as they're becoming important members of the community - managing their income, their family. They're being seen as responsible members of the community now and are gaining respect - and this is just because of some goats. So, I can honestly say: goats empower women."

The Cuban leader did not pull his punches when it was his turn to speak, condemning the western capitalist system for contributing to world starvation.
SOUNDBITE: (Spanish)
Mr President, Mr Director General of F-A-O, excellencies. The hunger, inseparable companion of the poor, comes from unequal distribution of wealth, an injustice of this world. The rich one know no hunger. (cutaway) Intervention forces are formed to prevent the death of hundreds of thousands of people in eastern Zaire - what is it that we are going to do to prevent the death of one million people each month in the rest of the world? It is capitalism, neo-liberalism, the laws of a wild market, external debt, underdevelopment, unequal exchange, that kills people in the world.
SUPER CAPTION: Fidel Castro, Cuban Leader
Later Fidel Castro met with Italy's Prime Minister Romano Prodi and Deputy Prime Minister Walter Veltroni.
Following weeks of speculation, the Vatican has announced that Pope John Paul II will meet with the Castro at the Vatican on Tuesday morning.
Castro is one of the few leaders the globe-trotting Pope has not yet met in his 18-year pontificate.

Abbott's 'terrorism' laws will also be conveniently used by liberal/labor to continue to destroy the rights, freedoms, interests, of Australian voters and citizens.
Most politicians are motivated by power, control, violence, and money.
The problem is Islam; this is the 3rd 'gulf war' in three decades; 1991 under Bush senior, 2003 under Bush Junior, and 2014 under Abbott, Obama, and Co.
The 1991 and 2003 wars in Iraq and Afghanistan resulted primarily to consolidate Islamic parliaments, controlled by muslim men.
Islam is a very dangerous and violent misogynist Satanic political ideology; at its worst, a war against women, children, and Christians. All political men throughout the world who support 'muslim men', are Satanic, and will burn in hell.
Unfortunately, the 'war machine', is a centuries old ingrained phenomena of political and govt men; if the worlds parliaments where full of women, particularly Christian Women, this war machine would subside.
It's in the best interests of ALL women in Australia, and throughout the world, to contest political elections, to protect women, children, and vulnerable men.
There are many strategies required to remove Islam from Western Nations, and the key to restoring the Christian values of Western Nations, for the safety, well-being, and protection of women and children, is to remove muslim men, confine them to middle east nations, and teach the New Testament in our societies and schools.
As long as their number grow through pro-creation, Islam will always be a danger to Western Nations, values, history, culture, ideals, and people.
We are living in the time of the Book of Revelation, a time of judgement; in the future, muslim men will turn their violence away from the West and towards Israel, but God Almighty of heaven and earth, and His Son Jesus Christ of the New Testament, will protect Israel from her enemies.

While at UIAM, or IIUM, in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, I walked upon a small public gathering protesting how in light of the 100th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide, Turkey is being pressured to admit to being responsible for the genocide by Western nations. Students, while expressing sympathy for the tragedy, argued that Western nations don’t tell the whole truth when it comes to the history of the genocide and blindly pressure Turkey to admit to something that many Western nations are guilty of such as France murdering 1.5 million people in Algeria.

Saudi Arabia and other Sunni Arab nations have launched airstrikes against Shia anti-government rebels in Yemen.
Western countries have expressed support for the bombings. Iran, a Shia Muslim nation, has strongly criticized the airstrikes. The move is raising sectarian tensions in the Middle East.
Warplanes began bombing Yemen's capital of Sanaa on Thursday. The city is held by anti-government insurgents, known as Houthis.
Local media say Saudi Arabia deployed 100 fighter aircraft for the airstrikes. United Arab Emirates and 3 other Gulf states provided 70. Fifteen warplanes from another 3 countries, including Jordan, also took part.

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov accused certain Western nations of using the MH17 plane crash to achieve political aims, on the side-lines of the ASEAN summit in Kuala Lumpur on Wednesday.
Lavrov criticised the West, saying statements from Europe and the United States “pointed the finger to the rebels” the day after the disaster, when few facts were available. He called on those who claim they know who the responsible party is, to submit a report. "Then we will see whether this report is persuasive," he added.
A total of 289 people died when the Malaysia Airlines flight MH17 was brought down over eastern Ukraine en route to Kuala Lumpur from Amsterdam on July 17, 2014.

Reaction as Western nations consider military action over alleged chemical attack
A military confrontation between Syria and the United States and its allies seemed closer on Tuesday as U.S. officials said military hardware was in position to attack, while and Syria vowed to use any possible measure to repel a strike.
The prospect of a dramatic U.S.-led intervention into the chaotic Syrian civil war stems from the western assertion - still not endorsed by United Nations inspectors - that the Syrian government was responsible for an alleged chemical attack on civilians outside Damascus last week.
I believe this thing, if it happened, would be considered as a blow to the United Nations before being a blow to Syria," said political analyst Shadi al-Ahmad, who is also a member of ruling Baath Party.
"The effects of such a military strike will be gone with time but what will be the fate of that international organisation in terms of its role in administering the international world order and its capability to resolve conflict and bring peace?" al-Ahmad said.
Syria's foreign minister said his country would defend itself using "all means available," while British Prime Minister David Cameron recalled Parliament for an emergency vote on Thursday on Britain's response to the alleged chemical assault.
Cameron said the goal of an attack, if launched, would be to prevent further use of chemical weapons.
The Arab League also threw its weight behind calls for punitive action, blaming the Syrian government for the lethal toxic attack and calling for the perpetrators to be brought to justice.
The announcement by the 22-member body, which is dominated by Gulf powerhouses Saudi Arabia and Qatar, provides indirect Arab cover for any potential military attack by Western powers.
Syrian Foreign Minister Walid al-Moallem spoke at a news conference in Damascus and denied his government was behind the attack and challenged Washington to present proof backing up its accusations.
The United Nations, meanwhile, said that its team of chemical weapons experts in Syria has delayed a second trip to investigate the alleged attack near Damascus by one day for security reasons.
The team's convoy had on Monday come under sniper fire.

MALAYSIA: ANNUAL SOUTHEAST ASIAN NATIONS SECURITY FORUM CONTINUES (1)
English/Nat
Discussions at the annual Southeast Asian Nations security forum have been dominated by attempts to secure a common approach to the Cambodian crisis.
Western nations agreed on Sunday that ASEAN (Association of South East Asian Nations) should take the lead in consultations with coup leader Hun Sen aimed at restoring political stability in Cambodia.
But the meeting was also marked by renewed controversy over the decision to admit Burma to the ASEAN group despite its dismal human rights record.
The nine members of ASEAN were joined by other Asian and Western powers for the annual one-day ASEAN Regional Forum (A-R-F) security conference on Sunday.
In recent days the US has been urging ASEAN to back a political settlement in Cambodia - involving free elections and demobilising the coup leader Hun Sen's militia.
But now agreement to let ASEAN take the lead in brokering a Cambodian peace deal is within sight.
Indonesia, Thailand and the Philippines have already been conspicuous in their mediation efforts.
On Sunday the conference endorsed a new initiative by their three ministers to visit Cambodia for fresh talks.
Cambodia's apparent willingness to engage in dialogue with ASEAN delighted Western delegates.
SOUNDBITE: (English)
"We have a very positive statement from the foreign minister of Cambodia who is accepting that the three ministers of ASEAN return to his country to try to intermediate in the present conflict."
SUPER CAPTION: Jacques Poos, EU Delegate
On Sunday, China also came out strongly in favour of ASEAN's peace drive.
Previously Beijing had opposed any interference in Cambodian domestic affairs.
Australian Foreign Minister Alexander Downer emphasised the rarity of the emerging diplomatic consensus.
SOUNDBITE: (English)
"What is particularly interesting is the emergence of a consensus which includes in that consensus countries such as China and the United States."
SUPER CAPTION: Alexander Downer, Australian Foreign Minister
Cambodia's Foreign Minister Ung Huot was mobbed by journalists trying to get his side of the story.
But the man picked by coup leader Hun Sen to be his new co-premier declined to react to Sunday's developments.
The on-going row over the admission of Burma to the South East Asian trading group also forced its way onto the ASEAN agenda on Sunday.
ASEAN has faced increasing criticism in recent days after welcoming Burma with open arms, while crisis-hit Cambodia is forced to wait in the wings.
Conference host, Malaysia's Foreign Minister Abdullah Balawi, tried to explain the Burmese position:
SOUNDBITE: (English)
"The Burma foreign minister did express the point that it's not as easy for them to move ahead because it involves at this stage the problems of deciding on power sharing, but there are many ethnic communities in Burma and these people are still armed and this is one issue that all ethnic communities individually or as a group are very sensitive about. There is therefore this slowdown a little bit."
SUPER CAPTION: Abdullah Balawi, Malaysian Foreign Minister
A spokesman for the Japanese foreign ministry said that there were some encouraging signs coming out of Burma, but accelerated progress was now required.
SOUNDBITE: (English)
"We certainly take this recent contact with NLD (National League for Democracy) as a concrete step. But certainly that's just a small step. So we would continue to ask the Burmese government to make further steps in order to achieve democracy"
SUPER CAPTION: Tanaka Nobuaki, Japanese Foreign Ministry Spokesman
But as far as the US is concerned, the Burmese government still has everything to prove.

SOUNDBITE: (English)

At the Winter meeting of NATO Council in Paris, England's LORD HOME had a bone to pick over SKYBOLT, COUVE DE MURVILLE had his hackles up about France's demand for her own nuclear force, while Sec. of State RUSK was troubled by lack of British support for policies in the Congo. U.S. General LAURIS NORSTAD, NATO's top military man, now about to retire, told the ministers his conventional armies must be strengthened. Germany's SCHROEDER put Bonn's Berlin troubles before the meeting. The variety of problems sent Prime Minister MACMILLAN on the road. First, for talks with DE GAULLE. Then, Macmillan went on to Nassau to meet President KENNEDY to discuss the new crisis in the Congo. But the P.M.'s foremost concern was SKYBOLT, a 1,000 mile air to ground missile that was a disappointment in 5 tests. But after a full discussion of SKYBOLT's value with Pres. Kennedy, Macmillan agreed to its scrapping in return for the POLARIS Missile, as part of a broad new program of U.S. assistance.

I would like to address a few issues:
First, while filming this, I had a lot of my stuff in my hands as well as a backpack. I even dropped my stuff while filming, so a result, I was shaking too much because of it. My apologies for that.
Second, I also have to apologize for the camera angles as a lot of time I tried to turn the camera to make the angle seem wider, but after watching the video, I learned that just made things worse. I also have to apologize as the sound terrible.
Third, there were languages spoken in this video that I myself could not understand, so I unfortunately do not have a translation to put up right now until I get someone to do so, so my apologies for that as well.
Lastly, I’m going to be very blunt about something and this I don’t apologize for. I know a lot of you will watch this with a very close mind particularly because the people are Muslim, and also because it’s a taboo thing to even slightly question anything against the genocide. So that being said, I know how nasty the comments will get so I am just going to block the comments for this video. If you don’t like that, just leave.

With the support of these airstrikes, forces backing Yemen's President Abd-Rabbu Mansour Hadi are said to have recaptured the al-Anad airbase and Aden international airport in southern Yemen on Thursday.
Saudi Arabia's state-run news agency says Hadi arrived in Saudi Arabia on his way to Egypt to attend an Arab League summit from Saturday.

This isn't scaremongering it is science. In Biohistory: The Decline and Fall of the West, Dr. Jim Penman, PhD, details a revolutionary new theory about why civilizations collapse. Fears are growing about the possible involvement of Western fighters with the radical Islamic State of Iraq and Syria. A recruitment video from the organization was posted to YouTube over the weekend, referencing members who have joined from Australia, the United Kingdom and other Western nations. Governments officials have expressed concern that if true, the fighters may eventually return to their homelands, bringing jihad with them. Manila Chan discusses the worrying new possibility with RT's Sara Firth.

President Paul Kagame of Rwanda wanted some western countries he did not name to stop questioning his human rights record and instead concentrate on eradicating terrorism.
Kagame who was leading his people yesterday in marking the 21st anniversary of the Liberation Day in Rubaya, Gicumbi District in Northern Rwanda, warned that Western countries had no mandate to direct the people of Rwanda on what they think its good for them.
NTV's Ouko Okusah attended the celebrations and filed this report.

The trial of President Uhuru Kenyatta could be suspended for at least a year under a diplomatic deal to be put to the United Nations.

Q&A;: Is it time for western nations to form a coalition against ISIS?

SOT, Sergei Lavrov, Russian Foreign Minister (English): "I don't know if the Malaysian government is manipulated. I said only one thing, I can repeat it again: I don't have any suspicions that the Malaysian government sincerely wants to establish the truth. I am sure that is the case for the Dutch government, for the Australian government. But there are also those in Europe and in the West who would like to use this tragedy to achieve also political purposes.
- Reporter (English): Who are these in Europe and the West who are trying to achieve a political purpose?
Lavrov (English): Those who immediately, the next day after the disaster pointed the finger to the rebels. Now these very people say that they want the justice to prevail.
-Reporter (English): Are you referring to the Ukraine?
Lavrov: Well, there were many statements in Europe and the United States. Ukraine, I don't think Ukraine was making any straightforward statements. My point is, people, including those whose countries are the creators of this criminal investigation team, have said that they knew who did it. If you know who did it, you say so, present your report and then we will see whether this report is persuasive. But they also must answer the question why they ignored most of the demands of the Security Council and the original resolution. Doesn't it look fishy?"
SCRIPT

HEADLINE: Clandestine smuggling goes on between Iran, West
CAPTION: Sanctions may have Iran feeling the pinch from Western nations, but in one spot along the Strait of Hormuz, trading goes on much as it always has. Merchants in speedboats move an array of goods between a spot in Oman and Iran. (Jan. 22)
[Notes:APTN]
[Notes:Musandam Peninsular, Oman]
ALONG THE STRAIT OF HORMUZ ... RISING TENSIONS BETWEEN IRAN AND WESTERN POWERS HAVE PEOPLE FEELING THE PINCH OF SANCTIONS.
BUT NOT IN ONE SPOT ...
FOR YEARS, GOODS HAVE FLOWED BETWEEN IRAN AND A ROCKY NUB BELONGING TO THE NATION OF OMAN.
EVERYDAY, SOME 100 SPEEDBOATS CROSS THE 35-MILE SEA CORRIDOR ... CARRYING EVERYTHING FROM TVS TO CLOTHES ... EVEN FRESH-CUT FLOWERS.
THE SMUGGLING IS TOLERATED ... DESPITE OMAN AND THE NEIGHBORING UNITED ARAB EMIRATES BEING WESTERN ALLIES.
BUT RISING TENSIONS WITH IRAN ... MAY EVEN THREATEN THIS TIME-WORN ROUTE.
IRAN IS THREATENING TO BLOCK THE STRAIT ... STEPPING UP PATROLS.
[Notes:NATS UP Farsi]
THIS SMUGGLER SAYS IF WE REACH IRAN AND SEE GUARDS, WE DROP THE GOODS INTO THE SEA. FOR IF WE ARE ARRESTED WE FACE MORE PENALTIES AND PRISON.
AND BUSINESS IS STRUGGLING ON THE IRANIAN SIDE ... A SLUMPING CURRENCY MEANS FEWER CUSTOMERS.
[Notes:SUPER: Dr Theodore Karasik, director or research and development, Inegma]
SOT: the fifth round of sanctions is supposed to be something to affect the government itself, but now, here is what you are seeing is sanctions are hurting every individual and that's when I think sanctions run awry.
FOR NOW, A NETWORK OF SPOTTERS TELL SMUGGLERS ABOUT IRANIAN GUARD MOVEMENTS.
AND THESE MOTORBOAT MERCHANTS WATCH THE SEA ... BECAUSE A TRIP IN CALM WATERS CAN TAKE 90 MINUTES ... BUT ONE IN ROUGH WATERS, FOUR HOURS ... FAR TOO LONG IN SUCH RISKY WATERS.

Kennedy, Macmillan agreed to its scrapping in return for the POLARIS Missile, as part of a broad new program of U.S. assistance.

Sunni Arab and western nations have expressed support for the bombings. Iran strongly criticized the move, and Iraq's Shia-led government expressed concern.

All summer long — including in last month's first presidential debate — Donald Trump has floated above the rest of the Republican presidential field, like a malevolent puppeteer pulling everyone else's strings. On Wednesday night, in an often bludgeoning debate at the Reagan Presidential Library in Simi Valley, the New Yorker was forced earthward by a blast of criticism from most of the rest of the field ... Many of Dabiq’s new residents have taken prominent roles in the legions of Arab and western Muslims who have helped turn Isis into the potent and terrifying ideological force that it now represents....

Migrants — many of them young men — come in such numbers that Western immigration laws are often rendered null and void. Westernnations tend to apply their exacting immigration laws only to the much smaller number of immigrants who obey the law. Sometimes the exoduses are due to poverty, usually brought on by the failure of non-Western governments to provide jobs, security and basic social services....
