According to the FTC, the acquisition could have a negative impact on the millions of American shoppers who now benefit from the head-to-head rivalry between Tapestry and Capri, as well as on the roughly 33,000 workers employed by both companie...

China builds a super Mig-21: The JL-9 advanced trainer jet competes in global market & makes money
J-20 fighter video collection, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ey5s17mjM9w&list;=PLofQNsLszRLJ0g-ppDdxLFY9F_T62XU3p
The JL-9, also known as the FTC-2000 Mountain Eagle, is a dual-seat, single-engine advanced trainer aircraft designed and manufactured by the Chengdu Aircraft Industry Group of China. It is actually based on soviet Mig-21 fighter design, that is the reason many call this aircraft the best Mig-21 in the world. Let’s dive in to find out why it is the most advanced Mig-21 today.
The JL-9 is a fourth-generation fighter-trainer aircraft that is primarily used to train Chinese fighter pilots. It was first introduced in 2003. The aircraft is designed to provide comprehensive training in basic flight skills, air-to-air combat, and ground attack.

At the beginning of 2021, Cambodia's first light attack aircraft was delivered by China in mid-January. It's the FTC-2000G, the export version of the Guizhou JL-9 trainer, also known as the Mountain Eagle. The agreement between Cambodia and China was signed in early 2020. According to sources familiar with the matter, Cambodia has ordered six of these planes in total. All will be handed over between now and 2023.

This Nation as Leading Potential Clients to Purchases China FTC-2000G Light Fighter
China announced on Sunday that FTC-2000G trainer fighter jet has secured its first overseas customer less than two years from the launch of the aircraft.
While the buying nation was identified only as a “South East Asian nation” by the jet's manufacturer, Guizhou Aircraft Industry Corporation (GAIC) chief Wang Wenfei, Cambodia could possibly be the mystery customer going by the close military and economic ties the two countries have forged in recent years.

Myanmar took delivery of its first FTC-2000G aircraft from China
The Myanmar administration placed an order for the purchase of FTC-2000G fighter jets from China in October 2022. Although there is no official statement yet, as reported by The Irradway, the Myanmar administration received the first FTC-2000G warplanes within the air force.
According to the statement, it was stated that 6 warplanes have been delivered so far from the FTC-2000G fighter plane order, which the Myanmar administration has not officially announced. The planes are scheduled to be deployed to Namhsan airbase in Shan Province.
FTC-2000G warplanes can be used as an alternative to second generation F-7 aircraft and A-5 bombers, which are obsolete but still in active military use within the Myanmar Air Force. This new system is at an important point for Myanmar Air Force competence...

JF-17 Thunder & JL 9 | A Direct Derivative from Chengdu - J-7 Fighter Aircraft
China’s People’s Liberation Army Air Force has manufactured indigenous derivatives of the Soviet MiG 21 fighter design since the year 1965 as the Chengdu J-7 and retains around 400 of these platforms in active service today as highly enhanced derivatives such as the J7 G.
From 2006, China would manufacture the JF 17 Block 1 fighter jets - which were loosely derived from the J 7 design. Unlike the J 7, the fighters had a radically redesigned fuselage which appeared entirely different to the MiG 21 - making use of air inlets on the side of the nose cone rather than in the nose cone to host a larger radar in the random. This was largely based on experimental J 7 variants, the J 7-F S and J 7-M S, which made use of inlets under the chin.
Alongside the JF 17, a more direct derivative of the ...

China's Super Mig-21: Success or Failure? Why JL-9 trainer can't fly like an advanced fighter?
In early 21st century, China designed and built a fighter trainer aircraft, it is described as a super Mig-21, possibly the most powerful Mig-21 in the world.
China Air Force video list: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2uYlcS-a_HI&list;=PLofQNsLszRLKAqgLS90Cn_hzZjg_IuSWm
The plane is called JL-9 trainer. It is an advance trainer or light attack aircraft, later it entered service in both Chinese Air Force and Navy. The plane is quite controversial, some people claim Chinese military wasted resources on a design way behind current technology, others argue JL-9 is reliable and can serve the military without relying on any imported engine or key components.
The design is based on FTC-2000 fighter, and closely resembling a two seat Mig-21 trainer jet except nose section.

One of the key features of the JL-9 is its advanced avionics system, which includes a modern cockpit display, multifunctional displays, and a digital flight control system. That is the main reason it is the best Mig-21 so far. This advanced technology enables the aircraft to simulate a wide range of realistic combat scenarios and makes it an ideal platform for training the next generation of Chinese fighter pilots.
The JL-9 also features an advanced radar system that provides real-time information about the aircraft's surroundings, including other aircraft, ground targets, and potential threats. This allows pilots to stay aware of their surroundings and react quickly to any potential threats.
The JL-9 carries a variety of weapons systems, including air-to-air missiles, air-to-ground missiles, and bombs. This makes it a versatile aircraft that can be used for both training and combat missions.
In terms of performance, the JL-9 can reach a maximum speed of 1,050 km/h and can fly at an altitude of up to 14,000 meters. The aircraft has a range of 1,000 km and can operate in a variety of weather conditions.
Another notable feature of the JL-9 is its ejection seat system, which is designed to protect the pilot in the event of an emergency. The system is capable of ejecting the pilot safely from the aircraft in less than two seconds, even at high speeds and altitudes.
In terms of training capabilities, the JL-9 is equipped with a sophisticated training system that includes simulation software, real-time data collection, and post-flight analysis tools. This allows instructors to evaluate a pilot's performance and provide feedback to help them improve their skills.
The aircraft also has a relatively low operating cost compared to other advanced training aircraft, making it an attractive option for countries looking to upgrade their training capabilities without breaking the bank. Additionally, the JL-9 is highly adaptable and can be configured to meet the specific needs of different countries and organizations.
In recent years, the JL-9 has undergone several upgrades to improve its performance and capabilities. These upgrades include the addition of a new engine, improved avionics, and an upgraded weapons system. These upgrades have further solidified the JL-9's position as one of the most advanced and versatile trainer jets in the world.
The JL-9 has been exported to a number of countries, including Sudan and Myanmar, and is quickly gaining a reputation as a reliable and cost-effective training aircraft. The aircraft's low cost and ease of maintenance make it an attractive option for countries that are looking to upgrade their training capabilities.
In conclusion, the Chinese JL-9 Trainer Jet is an impressive aircraft that showcases China's growing capabilities in the field of aviation. Its advanced technology, versatile weapons systems, and impressive performance make it an ideal platform for training the next generation of Chinese fighter pilots, as well as for use in combat missions. The JL-9's low operating cost, ease of maintenance, and adaptability make it an attractive option for countries looking to upgrade their training capabilities. We can expect the JL-9 to continue to play an important role in the Chinese military and to be a competitive option in the global market for advanced training aircraft.

This new system is at an important point for Myanmar Air Force competence.
The FTC-2000G is a multi-role training and combat aircraft designed and manufactured by GAIC (Guizhou Aviation Industry Corporation) under the supervision of the Chinese state-owned aerospace and defense firm AVIC (Chinese Aviation Industry Corporation). The aircraft is an export version of the Guizhou JL-9 (FTC-2000) training/combat aircraft in service with the People's Liberation Army Air Force (PLAAF) and PLAN (People's Liberation Army Navy).
As Airforce Technology reported, the FTC-2000G, which was produced by the Chinese state with domestic facilities, made its first flight in September 2018 and took its place in the international arena. The aircraft can seamlessly switch between fighter and trainer roles based on pilots' mission requirements. The aircraft can be used in pilot flight training, surveillance, patrol duties, reconnaissance, electronic warfare, close air support and air escort missions.
The fixed-wing aircraft has an overall length of 15.4 meters and a height of 4.8 meters, with a wingspan of about 10 meters. The ammunition range of the aircraft is wide and can be equipped with a wide variety of missiles, bombs and rockets. It can carry 3 tons of ammunition in a single operation. The FTC-2000G can reach a maximum speed of 1,470 km/h (1.2 Mach). It has a flight range of 1,650 km and an altitude of 15 km. The normal take-off weight of the aircraft is 8,000 kg and the fully loaded takeoff weight is 11,000 kg.

Alongside the JF 17, a more direct derivative of the J 7 and MiG 21 was the JL 9 fighter plus trainer, which also made use of side air inlets. The aircraft retained fourth-generation combat capabilities and saw its first flight in 2003. The platform entered service in the P L A Air Force and P L A Navy in 2014 and 2015 respectively. The aircraft is in many ways similar to the JF 17 thunder, although it was not designed for high-end air to air combat in the same way and is considerably less costly. Instead, the design prioritizes attack and training roles and inherits the low cost of the J 7 both to manufacture and operate.

The key difference is that JL-9 can house a small size pulse-doppler fire-control radar in the nose radar dome. It has upgraded avionics, can perform supersonic training missions, and has limited air defense and ground attack capability.
The JL-9 has an in-flight refueling probe. And it is fitted with double-delta wings to improve the aircraft’s angle of attack. However this plane’s flight performance can not possibly get close to J-10, J-11 or J-15. However, the JL-9 is 100% Chinese made, it has a very old WP-13F turbojet engine, while its main competitor, the L15 advanced trainer jet relies on Ukrainian turbofan. This means the JL-9 went into mass production, while the L15 trainer struggled for year, even though on paper it is the only suitable jet for today’s Chinese military.
The first JL-9 prototype took flight in December 2003. An upgraded version of the JL-9 equipped with a stability control augmentation system, and a microwave landing system. A naval version of the aircraft, incorporated with a tail hook, is now one of the main trainer for Chinese aircraft carrier pilots.
The JL-9 features an all digital cockpit, with three multifunctional displays, a head-up display, a radar warning receiver, electronic countermeasures and an electronic flight instrumentation system. It is equipped with databus that supports multiple types of weapons, including guided ammunitions. The plane can use medium range air to air missiles, and air to ground guided missiles.
Even though the JL-9 flight performance is at the same level as the Mig-21, but it is reliable and accessible, that is the reason it is now one of the key players in Chinese Air Force and Navy.

Myanmar Air Force received the first six FTC-2000G Mountain Eagle light combat aircraft from China's Guizhou Aircraft Industries Corp., which is an export combat-capable version of the JL-9 advanced jet trainer used by the Chinese PLAAF and PLAN. These FTC-2000G is expected to replace the Chinese-Pakistani Karakorum K-8 trainer jets, which is said to have performed less than expected.
Myanmar is the first export market for the FTC-2000G light combat aircraft variant, although Sudan has been operating the FTC-2000 trainer aircraft, which is the export designation of the JL-9. Chinese sources claim that the FTC-2000G Mountain Eagle is the most affordable jet-powered combat aircraft in the global market, with a unit cost of around US$8.5 million.
