KP Solidarity is an an Australian-based group operating in solidarity with the struggles of the farmers of Kulon Progo in Yogyakarta, Indonesia, whose life and culture are currently under threat by a joint Australian-Indonesian iron-ore mine. Kulon Progo Regency is one of the four regencies of the Yogyakarta Special Region, Indonesia. The name stems from the fact that it is located at the west (in Javanese kulon) of Progo River. The capital is Wates. The biggest part of population in Kulon Progo works as farmers. The area is 586.27 km².
