http://sspx.org/ - The recent Popes have participated and even organized many Ecumenical events. Yet, ecumenism raises both doctrinal and pastoral problems. This is what we intend to explain in this video.
Ecumenism denotes the search for worldwide religious unity. As in the case of religious liberty, Catholicism and modernism each approach ecumenism in different ways based on their divergent understandings of truth.
Modernism believes that religious knowledge emanates from the individual. This knowledge arises from within as a subjective impulse of the conscience. All religions, therefore, are more or less good and praiseworthy since they all, in different ways, manifest and signify man’s inborn religious instinct. There are thus as many different understandings of God as there are men. All these various notions of truth and of the divine deserve respect, for they are all legitimate expressions of the human spirit. Through mutual dialogue, different religious come to understand and respect one another, and this in turn promotes healthy peace and compromise.
Catholicism, on the other hand, teaches that it is the one true religion revealed directly by God. Only the Catholic faith can bring lasting happiness and true peace, not only between men in this life, but between man and God for all eternity in heaven. Since God wants every human being to possess this truth and happiness, the Catholic Church has a duty to spread its teachings and manifest its presence as far and wide as possible. These teachings come directly from God Himself and are thus free of all falsehood, and the Church, therefore, must lovingly encourage all souls, for their own good, to abandon error and embrace the truth.
This is why Jesus, entrusting this mission of converting all souls to the Church said:
“Going therefore, teach ye all nations; baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost.” (Matt 25, 32)
Catholicism upholds the rights of God and promotes conversion while modernism pursues dialogue and compromise. This new idea of dialogue and of ecumenism is one of the most confusing novelties introduced by the Second Vatican Council - despite the condemnations of the Popes of the XIX century. This new doctrine flourished with repeated ecumenical ceremonies - as with the prayer meeting in Assisi; but these ceremonies truly are an offense to Jesus, our unique Savior, and to non-Catholic people who are thereby left in error without encouragement to be saved.
For further understanding and insight on this question, we recommend reading Archbishop Lefebvre’s book, or listening to the Audiobook: “Open Letter to Confused Catholics”, which can be found at Angeluspress.org
Another great source we recommend is to read “From Ecumenism To Silent Apostasy” and “Catechism of the Crisis” also available at Angeluspress.org

A channel dedicated to exposing the false Signs and Wonders Movement. We are also exposing the current Holy Ghost movie as another spirit and another Jesus, not the true Holy Spirit. Beth Moore or any of these other teachers calling for a great endtime, outpouring, awakening etc.. in scripture are very deceived and do not rightly divide scripture. . But rather Jesus states in Matt 24 that there would be great deception. Yes the Holy Spirit is poured out as stated in the book of Acts. But He but is poured out on people as they hear the gospel and are saved. A New Testament reference to this verse from Joel provides help in understanding this statement. In Acts 2:15-17 Peter is preaching on the Day of Pentecost: “For these people are not drunk, as you suppose, since it is only the third hour of the day. But this is what was uttered through the prophet Joel: ‘And in the last days it shall be, God declares, that I will pour out my Spirit on all flesh.’”
In this sermon, Peter connects Joel’s prophecy with the Holy Spirit’s coming and the commencement of the church. Not every detail of Joel’s prophecy is yet fulfilled, but the “pouring out of the Spirit” began on the Day of Pentecost. From that time, the Holy Spirit indwells all those who come to faith in Jesus Christ.
This event marked a notable difference in the Spirit’s role from Old Testament times. The Spirit had previously only empowered certain individuals and sometimes only for a particular period of time. On the Day of Pentecost, the 120 followers of Jesus in the Upper Room not only experienced the Holy Spirit’s power but His abiding presence (cf. John 14:16). Three thousand people believed and were baptized that day. These converts all received the Holy Spirit into their lives that same day (Acts 2:38).
One of the surprising outcomes of Joel’s prophecy was that even non-Jews were filled with the Spirit. In Acts 10:45 we read, “The believers from among the circumcised . . . were amazed, because the gift of the Holy Spirit was poured out even on the Gentiles.” God was lavishing His Spirit on everyone who believed in Jesus, regardless of their culture, nationality, or ethnicity. “All people,” as Joel had said, were offered this gift.
In the future, the Holy Spirit will play an active role in end-time events, bringing to pass the other aspects of Joel’s prophecies in Joel chapters 2 and 3 (Revelation 1:4, 10; 2:7, 11, 17, 29; 3:1, 6, 13, 22; 4:2, 5, 6; 14:13; 17:3; 21:10; 22:17). However, the initial fulfillment of this prophecy has already begun, as noted by the apostle Peter, allowing all who follow Christ today to experience the blessing of the Holy Spirit living within them and empowering them for Christian service.

Source : http://www.novusordowatch.org/ecumenism.htm
At the heart of the Novus Ordo Church there is Ecumenism, a set of heretical and impious practices and beliefs that--officially--aims to bring about "unity" among all those who claim the name of "Christian." While this sounds like a noble and pious goal, the Catholic Church has always taught that the only way to bring about true religious unity is by non-Catholics converting to Catholicism, for only the Catholic Church is the true and only Church founded by the Lord Jesus Christ, and only the Catholic Church is the Ark of Salvation, outside of which no one can be saved. The Catholic Church has always issued strong rebukes against ecumenical ventures (Popes Pius IX, Leo XIII, St. Pius X, Pius XI, and Pius XII come to mind in particular), warning the faithful that such things lead to the ruin of souls. Now that the Novus Ordo Church has eclipsed the Catholic Church since 1958, and by looking at what has taken place since then, we can see in practice just how bad ecumenism is, what fruits it has wrought, and why the Catholic Church is so adamantly opposed to it.
"Such attempts can nowise be approved by Catholics, founded as they are on that false opinion which considers all religions to be more or less good and praiseworthy, since they all in different ways manifest and signify that sense which is inborn in us all, and by which we are led to God and to the obedient acknowledgment of His rule. Not only are those who hold this opinion in error and deceived, but also in distorting the idea of true religion they reject it, and little by little, turn aside to naturalism and atheism, as it is called; from which it clearly follows that one who supports those who hold these theories and attempt to realize them, is altogether abandoning the divinely revealed religion."
--Pope Pius XI, Encyclical Mortalium Animos, par. 2, January 6, 1928
"I saw many pastors cherishing dangerous ideas against the Church. . . . They built a large, singular, extravagant church which was to embrace all creeds with equal rights: Evangelicals, Catholics, and all denominations, a true communion of the unholy with one shepherd and one flock. There was to be a Pope, a salaried Pope, without possessions. All was made ready, many things finished; but, in place of an altar, were only abomination and desolation. Such was the new church to be, and it was for it that he had set fire to the old one; but God designed otherwise."
--from Life and Revelations of [Ven.] Anne Catherine Emmerich, Vol. 2, pp. 352-353
The True Catholic Attitude of "Reaching Out" to Non-Catholics is this:
"But God forbid that the sons of the Catholic Church ever in any way be hostile to those who are not joined with us in the same bonds of faith and love; but rather they should always be zealous to seek them out and aid them, whether poor, or sick, or afflicted with any other burdens, with all the offices of Christian charity; and they should especially endeavor to snatch them from the darkness of error in which they unhappily lie, and lead them back to Catholic truth and to the most loving Mother the Church, who never ceases to stretch out her maternal hands lovingly to them, and to call them back to her bosom so that, established and firm in faith, hope, and charity, and 'being fruitful in every good work' [Colossians 1:10], they may attain eternal salvation."
--Pope Pius IX, Encyclical Quanto Conficiamur Moerore, par. 9, August 10, 1863 (Denzinger 1678)
Pope Pius XII was very clear:
"Even on the plea of promoting unity it is not allowed to dissemble one single dogma; for, as the Patriarch of Alexandria warns us, 'although the desire of peace is a noble and excellent thing, yet we must not for its sake neglect the virtue of loyalty in Christ.' Consequently, the much desired return of erring sons to true and genuine unity in Christ will not be furthered by exclusive concentration on those doctrines which all, or most, communities glorying in the Christian name accept in common. The only successful method will be that which bases harmony and agreement among Christ's faithful ones upon all the truths, and the whole of the truths, which God has revealed."
--Pope Pius XII, Encyclical Orientalis Ecclesiae (1944), par. 16

“We have come to a time when God's sacred work is represented by the feet of the image in which the iron was mixed with the miry clay...If the government would honor the Sabbath as God has commanded, it would stand in the strength of God and in defense of the faith once delivered to the saints. But statesmen will uphold the spurious Sabbath, and will mingle their religious faith with the observance of this child of the Papacy, placing it above the Sabbath which the Lord has sanctified and blessed, setting it apart for man to keep holy, as a sign between Him and His people to a thousand generations. The mingling of church craft and state craft is represented by the iron and the clay. This union is weakening all the power of the churches. This investing the church with the power of the state will bring evil results. Men have almost passed the point of God's forbearance. They have invested their strength in politics, and have united with the papacy. But the time will come when God will punish those who have made void His law, and their evil work will recoil upon themselves.” {1MR 51.1}
