In 2003, Clarkson released her debut album, Thankful, which was a commercial success and established herself in the pop music industry. The release of its first single, "A Moment Like This" (2002), broke The Beatles' record for the biggest leap to number one, from 52, in the history of the Billboard Hot 100 chart. After parting ways with her management, Clarkson developed a more rock-oriented music with the release of her critically acclaimed sophomore album, Breakaway (2004), which sold more than 12 million copies worldwide and which garnered Clarkson more worldwide success as a pop rock artist. The album's single, "Because of You" (2005), became the best-selling single by an Idol contestant worldwide. In 2007, Clarkson took full creative control for her third album My December, which had a more rock-inspired sound and was met with controversy and moderate success. Clarkson later returned to a more pop-oriented sound with All I Ever Wanted (2009), which became a commercial and critical success. The album's lead single, "My Life Would Suck Without You" (2009), surpassed "A Moment Like This"'s record for the biggest leap to number one on a single week in the history of the Billboard Hot 100 Chart, a milestone it still holds today. Furthermore, it also became her first number one single in the United Kingdom. Clarkson's fifth studio album, Stronger, was released in 2011, containing elements from synthpop, R&B and country music. The album's single, "Stronger (What Doesn't Kill You)" (2012), became her longest number one single and eventually became her best-selling single in the United States.

Thomas Crimmins is a new warder, or guard, in an Irish prison. He is young, naive, and idealistic, determined to serve his country by his part in meting out justice to criminals. His superior, Regan, however, realizes that even prisoners are human beings, and Regan is sick of the eye-for-an-eye attitude that leads the state to execute condemned men, or "quare fellows." Crimmins begins to see that not all is black and white in his new world, and when he becomes involved with Kathleen, the wife of one of the condemned men, his attitude begins to change. When new evidence arises to suggest that Kathleen's husband may not deserve his fate, Crimmins is torn between his duty and his humanity.

She's a black hearted woman
I know the devil is her man
She's a black hearted woman
And she'll take you for all she can
Stay away from me woman
You cause me so much pain
I make my mind up to leave you
But I come crawling back again
She's only fooling you
I've got to get away
You won't know what to do
But I've got to get away
I sold my soul to that girl
I bought a ticket straight to hell
And for me there's no return
I'm imprisoned by her spell
She's only fooling you
I've got to get away
You won't know what to do
But I've got to get away
Keep away from woman
You cause me so much misery
Get you back to the devil
And get your hands off me
She's a black hearted woman
I know the devil is her man
She's a black hearted woman
And she'll take you for all she can
She's a black hearted woman
I know the devil is her man
She's a black hearted woman
And she's gonna take you for all she can

I never knew it could be this way
Hey I'm going to finally do it my way finally know
it's ok to take care of me you can love me or love
me not that don't really bother me cause now I'm trading
in my fears and insecurities gonna let my self forgive
and free myself to live and it feels so good
Chorus
And I never knew that it could be this way
And I never thought that I could believe that this
is real and I never thought that I could ever feel
the way I feel no I never thought that I would out
live the lonely years but now I'm smiling you see the
light in me and it feels so good

First time Kelly kissed a boy
Glow in the dark arrow in the heart
First time Kelly kissed a boy
Economy broke down
We work on a lost hour
First time Kelly kissed a boy
Glow in the dark arrow in the heart
First time Kelly kissed a boy was an
Echo in smiles and a virgin blue love letter
At a dead end
That's why I'm out minding my own
All the colors in may
Found it boring and left
(Need a new order)
No, no better
Feel rush far beyond
All that happiness feels
Like spring of our loneliness
First time Kelly kissed a boy
Tinted dreams and ambulance
First time Kelly kissed a boy
Talk hit a dead end
Crucifix crossed it
At a dead end
That's why I'm out minding my own
All the colors in may
Found it boring and left
(Need a new order)
No, no better
Feel rush far beyond
All that happiness feels
Kelly and I meet secretly
We stay out of sight
When we're in each others arms
We know it isn't right
We are so in love
But he loves you too
How can I tell my best friend
That I'm in love with you
He's told me of your sweet caress
And of your lovely eyes
Just how long can we go on
Telling him all these lies
We are so in love
But he loves you too
How can I tell my best friend
That I'm in love with you
Oh, Kelly, please, please tell me
We gotta find a way
Tell me what can we say
Oh Kelly
He's coming home tomorrow
He's been gone so long
We could get away tonight
To run would be so wrong
We are so in love
But he loves you too
How can I tell my best friend
That I'm in love with you
Oh Kelly, please, please tell me
We gotta find a way
Tell me what can we say
Oh Kelly
Oh Kelly
Oh Kelly
