Plot
Walter Black ('Mel Gibson') is depressed and sleeps most of the day. It's driving his family crazy, and his wife Meredith ('Jodie Foster' (qv)) kicks him out. Walter starts carrying a beaver puppet and tries to commit suicide (unsuccessfully). He uses the puppet to talk to himself, trying to bolster his spirits, and is trying to rebuild his life. Through the beaver, the family begins to learn about Walter's history and problems, and as he continues rebuilding, the beaver shows us all a way to cope.

Confident from the success of his prior scams, Clark quickly became well known and highly respected among Boston's elite and used his purported high society status to charm his way into the life of Sandra Boss (Stringfield), a millionaire with a Harvard MBA and a partner at the prestigious management consulting firm, McKinsey & Company. Following a whirlwind courtship, the two married and had a daughter, Reigh (Emily Alyn Lind, Eastwick) before their rocky 12-year union ended in divorce, leading Clark to abduct his beloved daughter after losing custody to Sandra. PHOTOS AND VIDEOS Paula Deen's Second Apology Paula Deen Apologizes More Photos and Videos In the wake of revelations that Deen admitted to having used the N-word in the past, the Food Network has cut ties with Deen and a spokesperson for Smithfield Foods also distanced itself from her. The home shopping channel QVC said it was reviewing its business relationship with her. Deen stressed that her "Today" appearance was not intented to stop the financial bleeding, saying that she wanted people to "know who I am." "Would I have fired me? Knowing me, no," she said. Deen, 66, was originally slated to appear on "Today" last Friday amid the height of the N-word controversy sparked by a deposition in a court case, but canceled last minute. She posted two online video apologies hours later begging for forgiveness from her fans for having used racial slurs. In one of the YouTube videos, Deen apologized to Lauer for having been "physically unable" to make the "Today" interview. Deen has been under fire since a former manager of a Savannah, Ga., restaurant owned by Deen and her brother filed a $1.2 million lawsuit against the pair. Lisa Jackson claimed she was sexually harassed by Bubba Hiers and that Deen used the N-word around her. Dolezal stepped down as the head of the Spokane chapter of the NAACP, after her parents alleged she was caucasian and had been misrepresenting her race. “I did feel that at some point I would need to address the complexity of my identity,” she told Lauer in her first major interview since the revelation. Dolezal had stormed away from a question about her racial self-identification over the weekend. When asked whether Dolezal had done anything to alter her skin color, which appears noticeably darker than a blond-haired, blue-eyed photograph circulated by her parents, Dolezal said, “I certainly don’t stay out of the sun.” Lauer also asked about an African-American man she had identified to others as her father. Dolezal said she believed that man to be her “dad.” “Every man can be a father,” she said. “Not every man can be a dad.” Rachel Dolezal told NBC's TODAY show she began identifying herself as black as early as the age of 5 years old, drawing pictures of herself with dark, kinky hair and dark skin. "I identify as black," she said. She said her hair style and light brown skin -- "I didn't stay out of the sun" -- prompted people to assume she was black. She acknowledged that she didn't correct people who made the assumption. It was her first interview since news stories went viral last week detailing how Dolezal's parents say she is white. On Monday night, Dolezal's parents told CNN that when she was growing up, she gave no indication that she might want to take on a new racial identity.
