What will you learn volunteering with Raleigh?
We are looking for enthusiastic and motivated Administrators to join our international expeditions in Malaysian Borneo next January 2016. You do not need previous administration experience for this role but the ability to work well within a team in a busy and challenging environment. Break away from the norm and spend 13 weeks working and living in one of the most bio-diverse places on the planet.
Raleigh International is a sustainable development charity, we believe in the passion and energy of young people from around the world to create long lasting positive change in some of the most poverty stricken communities. Our programmes focus on providing safe access to water, protecting vulnerable environments and building more resilient communities, all whilst developing the skills and confidence of young people. In order to safely and effectively run our expeditions we rely on volunteer managers.
As an Administrator you will;
- Ensure the smooth running of the expedition and be responsible for the day-today management of the expedition office
- Work closely alongside support team to collaboratively run the expedition fieldbase
- Spend some time on any of the community, environment or adventure projects
This is an unpaid voluntary position however when you are in country we will cover;
- All living expenses included during the expedition - food, accommodation, equipment
- Full training and support before and during the expedition
- Travel and medical insurance included
- In country transport
