Salary range £22,937 - £27,123 p.a.

Hours 37 per week - Temporary contract to the end of March 2017

Based at Worthing Town Hall, or within the Adur District and Worthing Borough Council services as may be required

Are you a confident, articulate and creative communications professional with at least two years’ experience in a busy press or media role?  Are you able to turn out an engaging copy, hunt out great content and hold your own with the press? Can you always see a new angle on a story and find new ways in which to tell it?

If so, you could be one of the two people Adur and Worthing Councils are looking for to help deliver a challenging communications strategy.

Under the leadership of the Head of Communications, you could be working across the authorities, Members, Officers and Partners to tell stories positioning Adur and Worthing as great places for investors, businesses and families. You’ll need an eye for an image, an ear for an interview and a great sense of how to tell stories that matter, whether that’s through a press release, video, social media campaign or event.

As someone who is confident in working with a wide range of individuals and media, this is your opportunity to be a part of a rapidly changing, dynamic organisation at a unique point in its history.
