It's extremely basic and full of bugs. I still do not understand why it tells you when you have missed a call from somebody, yet the call doesn't even show up and you cannot accept it. It also just eats the battery away and it takes way too long to send a message in the background with the app closed. Disappointing. You'd think a company as large as Facebook would be able to put more quality into their work. This app needs major work before I ever see it as a reliable app.

They took the facebook app, which was good ad it was, and made it after this update I just had require another separate app just to be able to text to my friends on there, which I could already have done on the old version. I've also noticed that unlike the old version neither facebook nor messenger close when you tap the back button.this means they they continue yo run after they should have been closed leaving me to need to hold it down to bring up tabs and closing it that way. And if I didn't then it'll continue to use and heat up my phone even when it is in sleep mode. I'd honestly love to just go back to the old facebook version because it works, and I'd rather put a few more seconds into going to my chat page through that than having something stay open after it should have closed that takes me straight to the chat page.

You really should put the feature where you can put groups of photos together and send them, second of all you cant even send videos you've already recorded! You have to record whatever your doing that very moment.... I still prefer the Android/Apple version.

Battery killer

App is very slow and drains lot of battery, WhatsApp will open very fast if we open it when it's minimized but in messenger its very slow. Please update it

For a "simple messaging app," messenger sure knows how to drain my battery. I can't even turn background tasks off to conserve battery life.

Bad. You can't call or anything on it. Its extremely slow with notifying you when you have a new message. It also freezes on me and shuts me out of it. When it does that I have to uninstall it and reinstall it again and again. Almost everyday. Please make an update 😒

This app is not complete yet. These features must be present for a perfect messenger app. 1)improve notification. 2)facebook call & video chats 3) pop-up notification or notification in which we need not to open the app to send a mesg.(for windows 10).

Installed on my phone, went to open it and gives me error 602 which is related to the app's programming. I was never actually able to log into this app
