Interesting feedback regarding prices and on the orangutan exhibit. We got the membership this year after having gone once or twice/year over the past few summers. The membership makes sense if you live in the Indy area, have young kids, and can go several times/year. There are probably better Zoos within a couple-hours' drive, and more cost-effective family entertainment options in the Indy area. Made sense for us, but it's not for everyone. I was a little put-off by the orangutan exhibit at first. Agreed, it's a little sterile. If you just don't care for the exhibit, that's one thing. You are a consumer, and have a right to complain about a product/service for which you have paid to experience. After all, this is America. However, it is trollish to complain about putting the orangutans in a glass enclosure because it's not the best for the animal. If you paid money to go to a zoo, and you are not a zoologist, you've lost your credibility in complaining about their habitat. They are in a Zoo. They are there for us mouth-breathers to gawk at whilst drinking watered-down Mountain Dew from refillable cups. It shouldn't matter if they are in a 'tropical' enclosure, a glass enclosure, or a replicated set from 'Any Which Way But Loose'. You gave someone money to see animals in captivity. As long as they are safe and cared for, what does it matter? Most of these creatures never knew the wild anyway. If you watch ANY of the other animals, they don't look happy or engaged. Especially that lion. So smug.

I can't comment on the hotel as I've only been to the water park. I'm going to say I'm not impressed with the process of getting into the park or getting dressed. It took forever and not enough room to say the least but I am giving 5 stars to the lifeguards manager for doing his job and more. This man saved a little boys life without hesitation and was calm and alert the entire time. I'm not sure if this boy just fell or fell into the water but I do know for sure this tiny little boy was completely lifeless, he wasn't breathing or moving, I thought he was dead. This man kept it calm directed his lifeguards as to what to do next, directed the mom and others without skipping a beat, literally as he performed cpr on this baby. After about 3 minutes of fear and complete silence from a pack water park, the little boy started to move but was rushed by ambulance to the hospital. I doubt I'll ever know what happened to that little boy but I know that the manager in charge of the lifeguards on 3/27/15, is a hero in my eyes and needs to be acknowledged for saving this little boys life. I have four children and they seen the same thing. This was a scarey reminder that in an instant something so precious as life can be taken from us and you don't have to be doing anything wrong. This was so innocent just a little boy playing while his mother watched. I'm just so thankful and grateful that this man was scheduled to work yesterday, you are heaven sent sir, and your actions did not go unnoticed! I hope the best for this little boy and his mother as well. So this place isn't the most organized or cleanest but your kids are safe and they take water safety very seriously as everyone should and I'd go back and recommend this place to you and all my friends. Thank you to the lifeguards manager in the light blue shirt a khaki pants, for saving that little boys life, making sure his mother was okay, and keeping track of your crew and everyone else.
