The province is divided into two congressional districts. In October 2006, the first congressional district was split off into a new province, Shariff Kabunsuan. However, the ARMM's Act creating the province was nullified by the Supreme Court in July 2008, on the basis that creation of a province is a function of the Philippine legislature. The area has since reverted to the province of Maguindanao.
Maguindanao is divided into two congressional districts, which elect members to the House of Representatives. For the brief period that the province of Shariff Kabunsuan existed, Maguindanao became a lone-district province. Since the appointment of a new set of provincial officials for the reunified province of Maguindanao by the ARMM Governor in January 2009, the provincial government has reverted to the Sangguniang Panlalawigan setup (coterminous with the restored 1st and 2nd Congressional districts of Maguindanao) from before Shariff Kabunsuan was created.

PNP-SAF Ambushed by MILF and BIFF in Maguindanao (Part 1) January 25, 2015
One Country, One Nation, One Constitution. We are all filipinos
Atleast 50 PNP Special Action Force Massacred By MILF and BIFF Muslim Forces (AFTERMATH Video)
Atleast 50 Members of Philippines National Police Elite Special Action Force (PNP-SAF) Lost there lives in a Clash with the Members of Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF) and Bangsamoro Islamic Freedom Fighters (BIFF) a break away group from MILF, Last Sunday January 25, 2015.
SAF contingent that figured in the encounter were in Mamasapano to search for Malaysian bomb expert Zulkifli bin Hir, also known as Marwan, who is reportedly being protected by the BIFF. and has a Bounty of $5,000,000 From the US FBI
Al-Haq, also spokesman for the MILF’s Bangsamoro Islamic Armed Forces, said the SAF men were also searching for Basit Usman, who underwent training in bomb making in Peshawar, Pakistan and Kandahar, Afghanistan in the late 1980s.
The policemen were trapped and ran out of ammunition during the firefight, another police officer said.
Aftermath Video Taken By MILF forces
According to the MILF spokesman, SAF members didn't coordinate with them as the SAF know that the area is a known Territory of MILF and BIFF's.
Capt. Jo-Ann Petinglay, public affairs chief of the Armed Forces of The Philippine (AFP) Army’s 6th Infantry Division , confirmed yesterday’s encounter.
Local officials in the neighboring Mamasapano, Shariff Aguak, Datu Abdullah Sangki and Datu Piang towns said more than 27 policemen were reported killed in the firefight.
A municipal councilor, who asked not to be identified, told reporters that security forces were still trying to extricate the slain policemen from the site last night.
“It was a police operation. There was no coordination with our troops on the ground,” Petinglay said.
Someone Also Speculate that the motivation for the SAF members and there Commander was the $5,000,000.00 bounty reward.
Alleged MILF ambush Video:
MANILA, Philippines – Two senators on Monday, January 26, withdrew their authorship of the proposed Bangsamo Basic Law a day after the deadly clash between special police forces and Muslim rebels, who were supposedly talking peace with the government.
The move by senators Alan Peter Cayetano and Joseph Victor Ejercito came after Senator Ferdinand Marcos Jr issued a strong statement against the ongoing peace process and suspended scheduled hearings in Mindanao.
The withdrawal of authorship by the two senators means the proposed Bangsamoro Basic Law (BBL) – which seeks to create an autonomous region initially headed by the Moro Islamic Liberation Front – is no longer guaranteed a majority vote in the Senate.
When the proposed BBL was submitted to the Senate, a total of 13 senators signed up as co-authors. This constitutes a majority vote out of 24 senators, ensuring the passage of the law.
But after clashes where the MILF said it was acting on self defense and killed at least 49 members of the elite Philippine National Police Special Action Force (SAF), Cayetano and Ejercito decided to withdraw their co-authorship.
In a statement, Cayetano said he was "disgusted" with what is happening. He questioned what the purpose of the proposed law was if violence in the South would persist.
"What is the BBL for if they don't have control of the area, and they will say that if 50 policemen died, it's because they did not coordinate?" Cayetano said.
"So I’m withdrawing my co-authorship of the BBL and I seriously doubt if this peace agreement will survive," he added.
Ejercito, meanwhile, condemned "in the highest possible terms" what he said was a massacre of troops.
"I signed as a co-author with the desire of giving the BBL a chance to be the instrument of peace in Mindanao. What happened to the PNP-SAF troopers is not a misencounter but a MASSACRE! I am withdrawing my signature as a co-author of the Bangsamoro Basic Law as a result of this carnage. My heart bleeds for our policemen who were mercilessly killed," Ejercito said.
Other senators, including Senate President Franklin Drilon and Senator Miriam Defensor Santiago, believe that discussions on the proposed law should continue despite the incident. (READ: Maguindanao clash casts doubt on peace process)
Marcos' counterpart at the House of Representatives, Cagayan de Oro Representative Rufus Rodriguez, also gave assurances that the House will continue to push for the passage of the law.
In a separate press briefing, government chief negotiator Miriam Coronel-Ferrer said the Bangsamoro bill proposes long-term solutions to the Mindanao conflict and should not be derailed by a single incident.
The proposed law serves as the legal basis from the final peace agreement between the government and the MILF signed in March 2014 after 17 years of negotiations. It needs to be passed in Congress and in a plebiscite before the envisioned Bangsamoro government can be established. – Rappler.com

Someone Also Speculate that the motivation for the SAF members and there Commander was the $5,000,000.00 bounty reward.

Travel video about destination Bagan in Myanmar.
Bagan is a famous royal city in today’s Myanmar that is full of myth and legend. In the days of the legendary Birman monarchy the metropolis covered an area of forty square kilometres and today the numerous majestic buildings of Bagan provide an unforgettable insight into its history. The development of the city was not only influenced by logical planning but was also designed according to religious and mystical ideals and was eventually built to reflect the structure of the Buddhist cosmos. The impressive temple complexes were designed to be a “paradise on earth”, a place that lay between Earth and the realm of the gods. As the first Burmese kingdom expanded the former territories of the Mon Tribe were gradually conquered. However, militarily the Mon Tribe proved to be inferior to that of the rising realm of Bagan. The Burmese troops captured not only many precious cultural and religious treasures but also more than thirty thousand prisoners from the capital of the Mon Thaton. Almost the entire spiritual elite of the Mon were brought to Bagan and the captured monks, scholars, master builders, blacksmiths and stone masons soon determined the character of the Burmese capital. The city’s temple ruins and sanctuaries are still worshipped in today and have a mystical appeal. Although archaeologists and historians have revealed much of the history of this fascinating metropolis it is likely that part of the splendid history of Bagan will remain a mystery forever.

The contrast of the primitive huts, versus our western organised glass house life.
Who is never searching for a lost paradise?
During a stay in Davao City, I tried to reach the mysterious lake, but no one wanted to drive me there! Maybe they were a little frightened. Until, the day before I had to fly back! So, too late.
One day, in Manila's underworld, I met a (too) young girl, who 'operated' in the city with false ID papers. She was born at Sebu. She told me, that I was crazy to go there. 'They' would kill me there, she said.
Later, via internet, she withdrew her statement, it was untrue, and she didn't mean it.
Sebu became a challenge, kind of a secret mission, as the enigmatic Pinatubo Volcano was years earlier.
The next year I reached the mysterious little lake.
Few days before, in the near mountainous region, the Ampatuan Massacre happened.

Simon Reeve leads a team of journalists on a journey of discovery in the Philippines, from the staggering scenery of the mountainous rice terraces in the north, to the war-torn Muslim regions of the south.
In the capital, Manila, population pressure has led to some surprising consequences. The citys largest cemetery has become home to a thriving community, who look after the tombs of the rich but also have their own schools and shops. The country is still in some political turmoil and a long-running communist insurgence has led to allegations of illegal killings by the army. Simon meets a general known as The Butcher.
Simon also has a surreal encounter from the past - an interview with Imelda Marcos, who is marketing a new line in beauty products. Its a stunning country with bizarre wild life and a population of tropical Sea Gypsies whose lifestyle is feeling pressure from the modern world..

Part 1: ride to Lake Sebu, and arrival Dongon Falls.
http://www.lulu.com/spotlight/mutadis
Why Sebu ?
One time at home, I saw in a travel guide a little fairy picture of bamboo huts on pillows in water. The book contained only a few lines of information about the lake. The picture fascinated me. I started fantasizing; was it possible to reach that image in real?
