365 Photos – 30/52

It just occurred to me today that 30/52 means I’m more than halfway through the year. When I first started, that felt like so long away, and now it feels like summer is (already) almost over and it’ll be time for a new challenge. Crazy.

I was in New York for BlogHer this weekend, and took a bunch of extra pictures. It was so much fun getting to hang out with my coworkers and meet so many wonderful bloggers. It’s my absolute favorite conference — I’m so lucky I’ve gotten to go a few times.

This week was my Hoboken-themed week. The weather has been gorgeous — it was 85F this weekend! — so I’ve been walking around town more. I took a really early train on Sunday, which meant I had an opportunity to take some pictures of that Hoboken Train Station when it was nearly empty. I like pictures of busy places, but without any people in them. That’s why I get up so early to walk the dog in the morning. My favorite time of day is right before anyone else has woken up.

You get a bonus picture this week. The Goodman’s sign is one I’ve been meaning to take for a few weeks now, but I keep going right when the sun stops hitting the side of the building, making for a cruddy outcome. But there’s something really fun about taking pictures of all these old signs that you can still find in various cities, little remnants of downtowns years ago.
