Güngören (Turkish pronunciation: [ˈɟynɟøɾen]) is a small industrial and working class residential district of Istanbul, Turkey. It is located near the district of Bakırköy. The mayor is Şakir Yücel Karaman (AKP).

Güngören is hard to distinguish from its neighbouring districts in the industrial area north of the E5 highway, districts such as Merter or the poorer parts of Bahçelievler. Like them it has seen a rapid and uncontrolled influx of migrants from Anatolia since the 1950s. In 1955 this was an open space with a small village named Vidos on it. Then a main road out of the city to the west was put through here and people began to build houses near the road. Most were built illegally. Today there are 237,000 crammed into a tight mass of cheap apartment blocks. The district was the site of the 2008 Istanbul bombings.

The housing districts of Güngören are slightly older and better established than other districts of 1980s migrants to the city, such as Esenler or Bağcılar, but still consist of narrow streets lined with six or seven-storey apartment buildings with no space between them. The difference is that the buildings are slightly better-maintained and there are more shops in the streets. But still standards of living are low.

Yan Yan was a general of Shu Han during the late Han Dynasty and Three Kingdoms period of Chinese history. Yan began his career as a general serving under the warlord Liu Zhang of Yi Province.

In Luo Guanzhong's historical novel Romance of the Three Kingdoms, Yan Yan was defeated captured by Zhang Fei in 212 in one of the battles during Liu Bei's takeover of Yi Province. Yan firmly refused to surrender and made strong accusations at Liu Bei, which angered Zhang Fei. Zhang wanted to have him executed but changed his mind later as he was impressed with Yan's strong sense of loyalty. Zhang released Yan and succeeded in persuading Yan to join Liu Bei's forces.

Yan appeared in a later chapter during the Battle of Mount Dingjun, where he volunteered to lead an army to attack the enemy forces under Cao Cao together with Huang Zhong.

Suat Kılıç (born July 23, 1972 in Samsun) is a Turkish lawyer, journalist and politician. On July 6, 2011 he was appointed as the Minister of Youth and Sports in the third cabinet of Erdoğan

He was born on July 23, 1972 in Samsun to Hüseyin and Elmas, who are actually native of a village in Of town of Trabzon. He spent his early years in Samsun, where he completed the primaray and secondary education. Suat Kılıç attended Ankara University and graduated in 1995 with a degree in Law.

He started journalism as a presenter of youth programs in a local radio station. He then served at TV channels Kanal 7, NTV and Kanal D as presenter and reporter.

During his post as the parliament reporter of Kanal D, he entered politics in the Justice and Development Party and elected deputy of Samsun following the 2002 general elections. He became the youngest member of the parliament in 2002. He served also as a member of the parliament's steering committee. Suat Kılıç was reelected in the 2007 general elections. In 2009, he was appointed deputy group leader of his party in the parliament.
