The FBT is an iconic Visvim model and also one if it’s most popular. The elk leather version popped up in the mid 2000’s and its awesome to see it brought back. There’s something undeniably luxurious about ‘elk leather’ and only someone as dedicated as Hiroki would think of turning it into a moccasin. A vibram sole and removable fringle round out this classic. You can get it over at END Clothing.

An offshoot of the Beauty & Youth label, Monkey Time is yet another entry in a long linage of terrible and strange Japanese brand names. While the label may look nothing like what it’s namesake would indicate, the fall/winter 2015 is a solid assortment of colder weather looks that riff on current menswear trends with creative styling. It’s a bit more sophisticated than the typical post-Rick goth look and if you evaluate the pieces themselves there’s many items worth owning including a few leather jackets, long bombers and wool coats. Availability may be an issue apart from United Arrows stores so keep tuned to the brand’s instagram and website for product info/releases.

I like honest photography, the type that you look at and either immediately reject or appreciate (sometimes for reasons unknown). As part of the latest Third Looks photo feature,  I’ll be sharing the work of of California based photographer Shona Sanzgiri. He’s taken photos for the likes of Adult Magazine and Vice and has a great eye for natural beauty whether found in travels or everyday moments. Check out an interview and selection of his work after the jump.

Nike has become very strong at creating new technology and infusing it into their classic models. In recent years, techniques such as flyknit and hyperfuse have found their way onto countless Nike models. For the Holdiay 2015 season, Nike is finessing the ever-popular Air Max 90 and Air Huarache. Air max heads will note the changes to the midsole and the new traction outsole of theses sneaker. I selected to feature out my favorite colorways from the pack, but more are available to browse and pre-order over at Atmos.  If you liked the stripped down modern look of the ‘patch’ series of Air Maxes, these are a good follow-up. Look for these to drop in late September at select NSW accounts.

While still closely defined by it’s streetwear roots and the ‘motorcyclist’ aesthetic , the Neighborhood of recent years has gone towards referencing 40’s and 50’s Americana. This creates an interesting balance between the different sides of the brand, as the label is now releasing such a wide breadth of product. The fall/winter 2015 lookbook is highly stylized and has a strong workwear thread that runs throughout it. While workwear has been repeated over and over in the past few years, the angle at which NBHD  approaches it still feels fresh. On top of some rugged outwear coats and leather jackets, there’s some great denim in here. If you’re a bit intimidated by the selection, shopping the collection by piece through the website can give some more insight into how you can work these pieces into your own wardrobe. Check out the entire collection here

While almost all men’s brands purposefully or inadvertently borrow from military aesthetics, WTAPS has been one of the best doing it for decades. WTAPS head Tetsu Nishiyama has successfully kept the brand relevant and expanded it into an international force. The latest collection is dubbed “EX.31″ (in commemoration if the 31st season) and it re-visits some key pieces from the brand’s history. The staples are mostly here from the hefty crewnecks to jungle BDUs and the classic M-65. There’s new stuff too including a collaboration with Carrhartt. A refreshing change up is how the lookbook features mostly baggier cuts of denim and pants.

This collection should strike a good balance between pieces for long-time WTAPS fans and newer entrants into the label.

Look for pieces to roll out on stockists such as HAVEN and End Clothing.

Leather jacket season is almost upon us and the gawd Rick Owens has been the best doing it for some time now. You may recall our leather jacket buying guide from last year where I went through the essential things to consider before pulling the trigger on a showpiece leather. One of my favorite repeat styles from Rick is the moto-neck instarsia. It’s minimal with clean lines and an excellent cropped fit. This is one of those pieces that the internet doesn’t do justice to, but it will definitely hurt your wallet. Luckily it’s currently on sale at Farfetch at 50% off. Lookout for me to do another leather jacket review in the coming weeks.

The Adidas Yeezy Boost 350 Low is set to release in the Black colorway on Saturday, August 22, 2015 at a retail price of $250USD.  A huge swath of the the internet consisting of Kanye stans, resellers, hypebeasts, sneakerheads, and fuccbois will be out en mass in search of these. With resell prices of the original 350 hitting over $1000 on eBAy, hype is at an all-time high and expect all retailers to sell out within hours. Personally the Boost’s don’t do a lot for me but I understand their novelty and collect-ability of any Kanye Sneaker. There’s just other sneakers and boots out there that I’d much rather have for the price and time put in just to secure a pair of these.

After the jump you’ll find a compiled list of online shops that will carry the Yeezys. I filtered out shops that held raffles or only had in-store releases so you can rely on these stores to work on a first come, first serve basis. Make sure you have multiple browsers and devices at the ready for your best chances.

Japan tends to incubate some of the strangest brand names in fashion. Despite the negative connotations of the name, Victim is putting out some solid stuff this fall/winter. The choice of model is definitely channeling a laid back young Keanu vibe. While some of the looks definitely have a vintage bohemian feel, the overall effect is clean and modern. Smart layering combined with some nicely made outerwear pieces make Victim a brand you should keep on your radar for future seasons.

View more pieces and shop online through their official site.

Since Raf teamed up with Adidas, the footwear focus has shifted towards his collabs with the sneaker giant and away from his own namesake Italian produced sneakers. These classic Velcro sneakers are one of my favorites he’s done and they are now back in black leather. Made on a similar sole to Common Projects (that you are probably familiar with already). These are sure to go quick, so secure your pair as Raf only brings these back sporadically.

Available now for $750 at LN-CC.
