This is the Maiden flight of New Zeta Science Long Range FPV UAV RC Plane Sky Observer. It’s a very easy to put together, and very easy to transport RC FPV UAV plane with a design based on Israeli Military Skylark UAV. Right after it takes off, I was simply in love with its flight performance. It’s a great glider and at the same time offers good cruise speeds. It is not a fast plane, so if you are looking for something thrilling fast, this is not your plane. This plane is designed to cruise at certain speeds offering long flight endurance and steady Surveillance or aerial filming shots. I believe this makes a great surveillance mission planes for both day and night surveillance missions. We did 3 flights on same 4S 10000mAh battery and flew a total of 15 to 18 minutes of flights including all the takeoff and landings. Still at the end we had 15.8 Volts left on the battery which is not even half the battery usage. A 4S is fully charged at 16.4 volts For FPV pilots like us, and with its design, Sky Observer will provide us longer flight times, ability to cruise at good speeds, and flight stability. Not to mention easy transportation and storage and Quick deployment at the fields for any operations. Should it be a day or night surveillance mission, or just a long Range short range fun FPV Flight, Sky Observer seems to be just the plane we were looking for. Iron Maiden: Flight 666 is a concert documentary film featuring the NWOBHM band Iron Maiden. The film follows the band on the first leg of their Somewhere Back in Time World Tour between February and March 2008. Flight 666 documents the first leg of Maiden's legendary Somewhere Back In Time World Tour which took them 50,000 miles round the planet playing 23 concerts on five continents in just 45 days. One of the stars of the movie is the band's customised Boeing 757, Ed Force One, which carried the band, all their crew, 12 tons of stage equipment and was piloted by airline captain and singer Bruce Dickinson. The movie gives a close up behind the scenes look at what happened on and off stage, when Maiden gave full access to a film crew for the first time ever, and contains some of the most spectacular live footage yet seen of Maiden. If you want to know what it is like to be part of the most adventurous tour in rock history, you can't miss seeing this. Taking you from Mumbai to Santiago, LA to Sydney, Tokyo to Sao Paulo and all points betweem, through exhaustion and fan pandemonium, travelling with the band and crew on the plane, to and from shows, in the bar and during leisure time, this really is Access All Areas! Personnel: Bruce Dickinson - lead vocals, pilot of the chartered plane. Dave Murray - guitars. Adrian Smith - guitars, backing vocals. Janick Gers - guitars. Steve Harris - bass, backing vocals. Nicko McBrain - drums. Michael Kenney - keyboards.

The film follows the band on the first leg of their Somewhere Back in Time World Tour between February and March 2008. ---------------------- "Aces High" written by Steve Harris. It is Iron Maiden's eleventh single and the second from the 1984 studio album Powerslave. The song tells the story of a British RAF pilot fighting against the German Luftwaffe during the Battle of Britain (1940), the first battle to be completely fought in the skies of the UK.

The film follows the band on the first leg of their Somewhere Back in Time World Tour between February and March 2008. ----------------------- "Revelations" is one of the few Maiden songs written solely by Bruce Dickinson. On earlier live performances of the song, Dickinson played rhythm guitar on one section that required a dual lead performed by Dave Murray and Adrian Smith. In more recent performances such as Eddie Rips Up The World Tour and Somewhere Back In Time World Tour, the rhythm guitar section was performed by Janick Gers, giving Dickinson more freedom around the stage. The lyrics are based partly on a book by Aleister Crowley, but this is also juxtaposed with a verse taken from a hymn by G. K. Chesterton, which forms the first verse of the song

Chorus Tell me why I had to be a powerslave I don't wanna die, I'm a god, why cant I live on? When the life giver dies, all around is laid to waste. And in my last hour, I'm a slave to the power of death. When I was living this lie-fear was my game People would worship and fall-drop to their knees So bring me the blood and red wine for the one to succeed me For he is a man and a god-and he will die too. Chorus Now I am cold but a ghost lives in my veins, Silent the terror that reigned-marbled in stone Shell of a man God preserved-a thousand ages But open the gates of my hell-i will strike from the grave.

Hi DemonDriver here and I wanted to share the maiden flight of my Hand-made scratch-built Lockheed L-1011-500, the shorter tri-star. She flies very well but she needs larger elevator control surfaces and i think one of her elevator servos failed in the neutral position leaving me only 50% up or down, she hit the tree-tops hard but the damage is VERY fixable. Enjoy!

Aibus A380 Worlds Biggest Passenger Airliner Mega Passenger Plane Maiden Flight - Full Documentary Subscribe to US Today!! Developed as a direct competitor to the hugely successful Boeing 747 line, Airbus introduced their wide-body, long-range jet airline A380 series on October 25th, 2007. Origins of the aircraft lay in the early 1990s and came to fruition in June of 1994 under the project "A3XX" designation. The program then underwent various design studies before receiving the official company go-ahead in December of 2000 with the aircraft now carrying the official "A380" designation. The design was refined by 2001 with components already being worked on in early 2002. At its core, the aircraft is an international passenger/freight hauler marketed for long distance routes and under a technology-laden, fuel efficient approach when compared to the massive, 1960s-era Boeing 747 series. The A380 netted several launch customers before the first aircraft had even flown. Production began in 2004 to which a prototype was first unveiled at Toulouse, France on January 18th, 2005. It received its first flight some months later on April 27th, 2005. The manufacturing of the aircraft consisted of a multinational logistics path that included the nations of Germany, the United Kingdom, Spain and, of course, the home country of France. A total of five airframes were reserved for evaluation service and certification for the product was then achieved in December of 2006. By this point, development costs had appropriately ballooned and production faced delays of several months which then evolved into years. The line was formally introduced with launch customer Singapore Airlines on October 25th, 2007 (as "AQ380") though delays continued into 2008. Emirates then followed as a customer in August of 2008. The 100th aircraft of the family was delivered to Malaysia Airlines on March 14th, 2013 and, to date (January 2014), some 119 A380s have been completed with production ongoing as of this writing. The complete list of operators to date includes Singapore Airlines, Emirates, Qantas, Air France, Lufthansa, Korean Air, China Southern Airlines, Malaysia Airlines, Thai Airways International and British Airways. The cockpit of the A380 utilizes dual controls for both pilots and an all-glass approach with five large, full-color multi-function displays (MFDs). Throttle controls are managed at the center console and each pilot is given side-stick controller input mimicking the configuration of a modern military fighter aircraft. The passenger section includes a two-story approach (with belly cargo level) which promotes a very deep fuselage for the aircraft when viewed externally in profile. In a three-class configuration, the A380 can haul some 555 passengers and as many as 850 in a single-class configuration. Overall length of the airframe is equal to 239 feet with a wingspan reaching out to 262 feet and height of 80 feet. The A380 weighs in at 610,000lbs and features a maximum take-off weight of 1.3 million pounds fully loaded (freighter model). Power is served through an Engine Alliance GP7270 (70,000lbs thrust), Rolls-Royce Trent 970-972/B (70,000-72,000lbs thrust) or Engine Alliance GP7277 (76,000lbs thrust) and Rolls-Royce Trent 977/B (76,000lbs thrust) turbofan engines (passenger and freighter models respectively). Maximum speed is 630 miles per hour with a cruise speed of 590 miles per hour being reported and service range is out to 9,750 miles (6,400 for freighter model). The aircraft can reach a service ceiling of 43,100 feet To date (January 2014), the A380 series has not been involved in any fatal crashes. A November 2010 flight from Singapore to Sidney was forced to return following an engine failure though no casualties or injuries were reported in the incident. The Rolls-Royce engines in play were then reviewed and an oil leak was found which forced other Trent engines to be reviewed and repaired. Further review unveiled cracks in the wing which forced further assessment of all active A380s. The A380-800 is expected to be revised through an improvement initiative announced in 2010. This will result in an increased maximum take-off weight and operational range. This should become the next standardized passenger model available. The A380-900 is an enlarged variant (though since officially delayed) with more passenger seating (up to 650 in a standard configuration). The A380F represents the freighter model variant though early orders were retracted by customers due to delays and Airbus has currently shelved the model for the near future.

This is the complete unboxing, build, maiden flight, and flight review with bonus flight footage for the Parkzone Sport Cub S2 Parkflyer, which was modeled after the Cub Crafters Sport Cub. I believe the specific model is the CubCrafters CC11-100 Sport Cub S2. I really like how this plane looks and how it flys. That made the issues I encountered during the build process not as big of a deal :) Here are my flight review notes: Cons: - Landing gear wire is thin and LG install was a pain. - Rudder was way out of trim and doesn't steer well in grass. - The tail section is also difficult to install. - The main LG wheel collar screw popped out during landing. Pros: - Looks great and is a great flyer. - Nice big forgiving tundra tires. - Lands really slow even without flaps. - Large battery bay for flexible battery options. The bottom line is this is a fun and easy to fly plane that you should buy if you are considering it. On the Parkzone website, they describe this plane this way: "The full-scale Cub Crafters Sport Cub is an inspired reinvention of the Piper Super Cub that is introducing a whole new generation of aviators to the wonder and excitement of back country flying. The ParkZone® Sport Cub park flyer is a fantastic recreation of this aerial adventure machine that will open a new world of possibilities for RC pilots too. Constructed of durable, lightweight Z-Foam™ material, it shares many of the same aerodynamic features that give the full-scale version its light wing loading and superb short field abilities. Oversized tundra tires for flying off grass and other rough surfaces are included. Those in search of the ultimate RC bush flying experience have the option of adding floats and functional flaps. This Plug-N-Play or PNP version can be flight-ready in the time it takes to install a receiver and charge a battery." I call BS on that last part because it took me a very long time to get it all to work together without breaking the plane upon assembly, but the rest sounds about right. This is a more advanced alternative to the Hobbyzone Super Cub LP as it is BL and has ailerons, which is basically a really big version of a Hobbyzone Champ trainer plane in the form of a Piper Cub (Piper PA-18 or Piper J-3 Cub). This looks like a big version of the BNF E-flite UMX Carbon Cub. That too has flaps and an attractive trim scheme. And really it is a lot like a little bit smaller version of the E-flite Carbon-Z Cub. It however is a much different plane than the Hangar 9 Super Cub version and I realize I am not ready for such a plane! I also realize from my Hangar 9 Super Cub that Hangar is not spelled Hanger as in Hanger 9. I was also confused at one point about this being not much different than the Hobbyzone Super Cub or Hobbyzone Mini Super Cub. The main motivation for this purchase was due to the success of my recent E-flite UMX B-17 videos and even more successful E-flite P-51 Mustang videos. Ultimately I enjoyed flying the park flyer sized plane A LOT more, so when Horizon Hobby had its big sale recently, this was the only plane this size that I hadn't already bought.

An Independent Unbiased Review of the X-UAV Skua FPV plane! Here is a link to the manufacturer's website: http://www.x-uav.cn/product_view.asp?id=48 This plane is being carried by Hobbyking, and should also be available on nitroplanes.com as well. I had trouble finding a motor that would fit the manufacturer's spec for the kv rating, and swing a 10x5 prop, the recommended size, without melting, but i finally found one. the motor i will be using for any following videos will be the Great Planes Electrifly Rimfire 15 3536 1200kv with the APC thin electric 10x5 prop. There has been a claim by the manufacturer that the model is capable of flying for 4-5 hrs using this motor/prop combination, together with a 10,000mah 4s lipo battery, and in a future episode, we plan on putting that claim to the test. we will be sure to have a relief pilot handy, in case we have to use the bathroom, and we will have the local pizza delivery on speed dial to deliver some food during the flight, in case dad gets hungry again. We are impressed with the Skua, and feel that this design is fairly well executed, and represents an advancement in design technology which is bringing hobby grade airframes to us that are genuinely useful for so many applications, whether they be personal, or commercial. We could not help noticing the resemblance to the Israeli drone called skylark, and for a single motor aircraft, the stability, and handling for a utilitarian fpv platform is superb. I think that this aircraft is substantially better than almost all others at the moment that are being mass produced, and i bought one of the first ones with my own money for review, because i feel that this design deserves to have a good review done, and it's true potential demonstrated. I hope that this review is useful to you, and informative! Finally got to do my first FPV underground parking garage test with my new 250/230 FPV racer. Was first time with this 250 Racer and my DIY Goggles. Nothing crazy, some hovering, tests, riding around and hit the floor once, not too bad. Next one will be in the Park so we can test speed on it.
This is the maiden flight of my new Seagull Space Walker II. I bought it second hand, tidied it up and installed an ASP 61 2 stroke and servos I already had to a nice cheap plane. Unfortunately I stuffed up the landing coming in too fast and didn't flair quickly enough. There was not too much damaged and I have repaired it all ready and it is ready to fly again. By the way, it is a lovely model to fly, very stable and predictable, I'm going to have a lot of fun with this one.

It drew 3 to 4 amps and flew at 40 to 45 km Very hard to measure efficiency due to a lot of thermal activity. There are NO negatives on this flight this model used low amp draw, flew at good speed on low amp draw and was very stable in flight. The V tail does provide a different pitch feeling to other conventional models and the rudder is a great help balancing the model in flight. I flew for one hour including 6km outbound flight and still only used 6 amps out of a possible 8 amps. Applying power really made this beast move rapidly, a lot faster than SkyHunter. One thing I do want to do is mount the camera behind the nose cone but I intend to cut a hole in it as I do not like reflections. Just waiting to get a spare nose cone before I cut a hole. Comparison to SkyHunter. I do not think I will fly the SkyHunter again unless I crash this. Just a small video update on the DYS D800-X8 Build that I have been working on. I have the Wookong installed now and the IOSD camera and my Aurora 9 channel receiver. This frame is SO easy to work on, I would say the easiest yet by far. I hope maiden flight test's soon.
Maiden flight of the Align Mx880L! This is a heavily modified Align M480L which has been converted into a heavy lift X8 copter configuration. The Align APS-M has been replaced with a Pixhawk flight controller to handle flight control. The APS-M is still on board and will control landing gear and gimbal functions once the Align G3-GH gimbal is attached. Prop configuration displayed is only for testing purposes. It will most likely change as I test different configurations and before I spend some money on high quality props :) Please subscribe for more updates!

noodls 2015-03-25The maiden flight of an aircraft is the first occasion on which an aircraft leaves the ground of its own accord. This is similar to a ship's maiden voyage.
The first flight of a new aircraft type is always a historic occasion for the type. It is also one of the most dangerous, because the exact handling characteristics of the aircraft are generally unknown. The first flight of a new type is almost invariably flown by a highly experienced test pilot. First flights are usually accompanied by a chase plane, to verify items like altitude, airspeed, and general airworthiness.
A first flight is only one stage in the development of an aircraft type. Unless the type is a pure research aircraft (such as the X-15), the aircraft must be tested extensively to ensure that it delivers the desired performance with an acceptable margin of safety. In the case of civilian aircraft, a new type must be certified by a governing agency (such as the Federal Aviation Administration in the United States) before it can enter operation.
