(Mensaje se repite en Español) On Thursday August 13, 2015 the law firm of Geragos & Geragos filed a detailed 91 page cause of action on behalf of nationally acclaimed Hobart Elementary school teacher Rafe Esquith against the Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD). More specifically, and in addition to suing LAUSD as a legal entity, the lawsuit also names as individual defendants Superintendent Ramon C. Cortines, Chief Legal Officer David R. Holmquist, and 50 John Does to be subsequently named after they are identified through the discovery process- a process now open to the plaintiffs to final compell LAUSD administrators and others to finally tell the truth or face serious and costly- both financial and personal- legal consequencess for failing to do so.

"MORE CHARTER SCHOOLS AHEAD?" MORE ILLUSION OF IMPROVEMENT IN PUBLIC EDUCATION

(Mensaje se repite en Español) In reporting the "Broad Foundation seeks an expansion of L.A. charters to boost student success..," yet again Los Angeles Times "reporter" Howard Blume uncritically swallows the Broad, Keck, and Walton Foundations completely unsubstantiated- and in fact- clearly contradicted claims that more charters would be better than traditional public schools- instead of finally addressing and pragmatically fixing our long failed public education system. The fact that traditional public schools remain de facto segregated and shunned by Whites with their 90% undereducated Latino and African American student body is never mention, even though continued segregation remains the predominant factor in maintaining the continued failure of public education as was clearly pointed out in a recent two-part series on NPR entitled, The Problem We All Live With.

LAUSD BLACKLISTING THOUSANDS OF TEACHERS- HOW THEY DO IT

(Mensaje se repite en Español) One fundamental principal of any honest legal system is that those who are party to a dispute are not allowed to call all the shots as to what is relevant and what is not in investigating and fairly resolving the dispute. If this was allowed to take place, that party's own actions or interests in arriving at a predetermined unfair result would never be scrutinized by a truly neutral party. And yet that is precisely what has now gone on for years at the Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD) without any outside governmental intervention in a process where thousands of teachers have not only been removed from their jobs based on wholely fabricated charges, but it has also subsequently lead to their being blacklisted in a manner that almost assures they will never work again anywhere as a teacher.

LAUSD OR TARGETED TEACHERS- A SIMPLE WAY TO KNOW WHO'S TELLING THE TRUTH

(Mensaje se repite en Español) While poligraph or lie detector tests remain inadmissible in most court and other proceedings, given their significantly increased reliability, there might just be an application at the Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD) where it might be used to determine whose lying when it comes to allegations of teacher misconduct. Even though polygraph testing has become more and more reliable for showing whose telling the truth between two individuals, it is still capable of deception on an individual basis. But what if we weren't dealing with individuals, but rather groups of targeted now ex-LAUSD teachers who continue to profess their innocence of wrong doing after either being forced into early retirement or fired based on charges they continue to maintain are false and completely fabricated as in the present case of nationally recognized teacher Rafe Esquith? What if all or a significant portion of the now thousands of such teachers agreed to pay for and submit to a poligraph test, which shows that they or the vast majority of them are telling the truth, when it comes to charges of immorality or other alleged bad acts that were used by LAUSD to force them out of their teaching jobs for a windfall financial savings. This allowed LAUSD to replace them with emergency credentialed fresh-out-of-college graduates paid at a fraction of the cost?

Nowhere is this incredibly dark motive of corporate America or their LAUSD administration ever mentioned.

(Mensaje se repite en Español) The organized corporate assault on public education- and more specifically costly veteran teachers- has gone on unimpeded over the last 9 years, because teachers' unions around the country have not only done nothing to protect their dues paying members, they have actually assisted the school districts in getting rid of top of the salary scale teachers under any pretext by offering an appearance of validity to what on closer examination is a clearly illegal and morally reprehensible process that has destroyed the lives of thousands of completely innocent teachers around the country- that is until now.
